The Accelero Xtreme 7970 is precisely optimized for the world's first 28nm AMD 7900/7800 series GPUs and offers superior cooling performance in silence. No silent enthusiast or overclocker wants to miss this cooler.
Superior Cooling PerformanceFeaturing three 92mm PWM fans with a maximum cooling capacity up to 300 Watts, the Accelero Xtreme 7970 manages to transfer heat efficiently away from the GPU. Besides the 84-fin heatsink with 5 copper heatpipes, the pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound accelerates the heat dissipation process to ensure the VGA board is running under optimal temperature.
Enhanced RAM and VR CoolingThe Accelero Xtreme 7970 comes with the non-conductive G-1 thermal glue which is used to affix RAM and VR heatsinks on the VGA board. It is especially formulated to offer excellent thermal conductivity with long-lasting adhesiveness of over 10 years. Moreover, removing the G-1 is as easy as removing a thermal tape.
Virtually SilentWith three PWM-controlled 92 mm fans, the Accelero Xtreme 7970 cools efficiently and silently. Thanks to the PWM control, the fan spins according to the temperature of the GPU. This means that the fans just spin up if necessary and will rest at minimum speed otherwise. PWM settings can be modified to fix the priorities between performance and noise.
CrossFire-CompatibleAccelero Xtreme 7970 is compatible with the AMD CrossFire technology. It allows you to intelligently scale graphics performance by combining multiple AMD graphic cards on a single CrossFire-Certified motherboard. (The compatibility list is based on AMD Radeon's reference board layout only.)
Pros: keeps, all graphics cards that it works on very cool and quiet.
Cons: was missing one heat sink and all others were too tall to fit under cooler w/o touching. ( see other thoughts). GTX 780 and titan have issue with fans going to max no matter what and arctic says its the card ( I feel it's the cooler). either way make sure you can hook it up to other power area or fan controller.
Overall Review: my gtx780 idles at 27-29c and never gets above 46 while gaming in any heavy game. I use these on every card I buy and had spare heat sinks from other builds so had the extra one and have good garage and tools so was able to shave the extra off them to fit under. All of these coolers work great and always have. These things add considerable weight to graphics card and Pcie slot so I either cut a wooden dowel to fit to support the far end or in some cases use a tie wrap to the top depending on case. If you support it you save that slot from getting bent and it will if you do not support it. Should have gotten a 5 egg but for it's kit problem and fan problem it loses an egg. Still the best cooler out there so yes buy it.
