Cons: - Range is no where near 40 feet. I've got 4 different wireless headsets that all reach my basement bathroom from my gaming HTPC. It's 3 walls and 30 linear feet away...this states a range of "up to 40 feet" and doesn't reach the bathroom.<br><br>- coupled with the range issue, if the headset loses connection due to range, it's a pain to reconnect. All my other wireless headsets 2.4 and dect all reconnect as soon as they are back w/in range. This one needs to be cut off to reconnect...which adds 20-40 seconds.<br><br>- the lights, in my opinion are stupid. I hate them...i cut them off on my corsair mouse, i cut them off on this headset, but i shouldnt need to take extra steps to turn off the 'pretty light display' on these cans. <br><br>- the headphones would not work w/out a firmware update...which seemed counter-intuitive. I was about to leave a horrible review because it took me 2 tries and failures, before i could get it to work on the 3rd try...after downloading a f/w update.<br><br>- it claims 7.1 - the best i could ensure i was passing to the headset was 5.1, but realistically i couldnt even hear 2.1 sound...the audio quality was impeccable, but there was not anything close, even remotely close to 7.1 sound...which was why i was so excited about this set!

Overall Review: ** edit ** I took this from a 4 star review down to a 2 star review. My original review was forgiving because there were so many awesome standout points on this headset that I could forgive major setbacks (like the range). However, after using this headset via an OTG cable (otg = on the go...which is a function for cell phones...) I have been unable to use this headset on my PC since. So I connected the headset to my cell phone to give me a mechanism to listen to some shows I can only get on my cell phone and since then the headset is seemingly bricked on my PC. I've searched for a couple-few hours looking for a remedy, i've done 3 or 4 "fixes" from the corsair forums, but none have worked. So at this point, I can still use my headset for my cell phones, but once I connect it to my PC it "seems" to be bricked. Basically, the headset is worthless now...because $100 for a wireless phone speaker doesn't really ring through as value in my opinion. In any case, the inability to use it coupled with the range issues, it's 2 stars at best. ** update ** Overall the headset is great. I'd give it a 5 star review easily if it had better range &/or could automatically reconnect. I'm still learning better ways to use the headphones...it's truly a great and comfortable set of cans. <br><br>I'd ultimately prefer more volume, however it's very weird...while wearing the cans they seem too quiet & even at max volume, i'd like to cut them up higher. However, when I take them off, I can seemingly hear the for miles. My Savi - w430 can get a connection all the way to my kitchen sink, 45 linear feet, one floor up and 5 walls of interference...obviously this headset doesn't reach that far, so I take it off & leave it on my piano bench on the way up...but i can actually hear my buddies on skype from the sink...it's that loud...but while on my head, I feel a need for more volume??? Doesn't make sense!<br><br>Lastly, to that end, the headset is great...i can't stress that enough, it's sooo comfortable. But the reality is that it could be better...

Pros: This is a very comfortable headset. The sound is also amazing. I have used it with my Windows and Ubuntu computers. It works well with both. Sound is clear and crisp. I also use it for listening to music, which is nice. Battery lasts a good 14-16 hours. Very impressive battery life.

Cons: It doesn't have much of a filter for background noises. The pads that go around your ear are like a mesh material filled with foam. Some might see this as a con, some might not. It's definitely not "noise cancelling".

Overall Review: You can make this work with Ubuntu with a few configuration changes.

Overall Review: These headphones impressed my ears. They don’t perfectly reproduce audio like a pair of high-end studio monitors, but that isn’t necessarily what you want. They do enhance music and multimedia with rich bass and a full mid-range along with moderate treble. Hip-hop, metal, rock, country, and most other genres sound beautiful. Perhaps the genre they are least suited for is DnB. I own several pairs of $80-200 headphones and these blow half of them away. The experience of wearing these is less like having 50mm speakers glued to your head and more like an auditorium experience. They become even more immersive when used for 7.1 channel enabled games. Enabling Dolby surround in Left 4 Dead 2 definitely made me more cognizant of and absorbed in what was going on. The wireless works as advertised – flawless and responsive until about 40 feet away, or 30 feet and a wall. Normally I can’t use wireless gaming mice because I notice a delay, but with these I didn’t have any issues, even in games that rely on snappy feedback like Chivalry or CS:GO. The ear cups themselves are deep and comfortably accommodate my ears, though I would like if they were a little bigger. Those with huge ears may want to look elsewhere. The headband and cups use a springy foam that keeps you from feeling any hard surfaces, and the thick mesh is highly breathable, which prevents buildup of the #1 enemy to your headphones’ longevity: sweat. The plastics are scratch-resistant, sturdy but flexible, and light. The white holds up against discoloration and the silver parts seem to have a metal core beneath plastic. The microphone is made of a rugged, flexible, semi-rubberized plastic and neatly adjusts out of the way. There’s also a button to disable it. The microphone won’t be ideal for singing, but it detects your voice clearly and without distortion. It’s far better than any microphone I own and while I don’t use it that often, I can’t see any drawbacks for voice communication. I’ve heard that early releases of this headset had an inferior microphone so early reviews may say otherwise. The DAC clearly has a leg up on Realtek onboard audio, though it’s hard to tell since it can only be used for one pair of headphones. The difference between 128 kbps and 256 kbps (or better) audio is incredibly marked and it's especially easy to detect echoes and ringing in recorded voices, which I never noticed before. Likewise, the difference in quality between Spotify Free and Premium is very noticeable. Installation was a breeze. I downloaded and installed the Corsair Utility Engine software right away and after setting the VOID as my default playback device and recording device, it was smooth sailing. The software has way more customization options than I could ever need, including 12 lighting rhythms, profile options, several audio presets and an equalizer, and it’s easy to keep an eye on your battery level and to update the firmware under the settings tab. I updated the firmware on first launch without a problem. Overall, this is an excellent product. My studio monitors are starting to gather dust. Recommended to gamers and budget audiophiles who want some of the features these offer.

Cons: - PC only... - Wireless range can cut out if I run to the restroom wearing it (30 feet?) - The mic is great for gaming but not the best in the world if you're looking for audio chocolate. - The LEDs are cool but I can't see my ears.

Overall Review: Ok, so I want to start off with saying I really liked the headset. It's light, looks good, it's comfortable over long periods of time, it sounds good, and the mic works fine for voice comms. I have a few minor complaints. I can't see my ears and my wife doesn't care how cool my headset looks, the LEDs really don't do much but drain battery. They are cool though. I can't use this with my phone. This is a big push from a lot of companies lately as people move more and more into the mobile world, I was a bit disappointed. I can't really tell how many .1s these are. Listen, these sound really good, but if you REALLY care, I have no real way of telling you how surround soundish the surround sound is. You can't match having a room full of speakers, obviously, so I don't really think it matters. These are probably fine for twitch/voice comms. If you want to record music, really you need to get a condenser mic or something though. That being said, these sound great for what they are (I used to use a rockband mic). The end verdict: I like them, I recommend them. If you are in the market for a gaming wireless headset, you can't go wrong with Corsair.

Pros: Nice form with the way the mike is quite hefty (i.e. not flimsy), swings up almost flush with the headset and includes a silicone tie down. They have a comfortable fit for a big head, which can be tricky to find and the circumaural & speaker padding is super soft! Nice, small dongle for the radio frequency tech used. The CUE software that is included, although not completely necessary, adds value to these headphones. I am a fan of Corsair’s products, as well as their support (when needed) and in addition to Corsair being my favorite RAM and Power Supply brand, they may become my favorite headphone brand too…

Cons: Minor Con: I would like to have seen Corsair include a way for me to easily connect or clip the dongle to the headphones, to keep them together during travel.

Overall Review: I have been using the heck out of these and, with a big head (hat size: 7 5/8), finding headphones that fit well and are comfortable over an extended period of time can be a challenge. These beauties met that need and are super convenient to use. First of all, these installed plug-n-play in Windows 7 Pro and Windows 10 Pro. The cool thing with moving these between computers (mostly Windows 10) is that Windows readily recognizes them and adds them as the default device, but when I am done and unplug the dongle, Windows reverts back to the default device that was set before they were plugged in. Some of the credit for this ease of use goes to Microsoft and some to Corsair. My previous skepticism about “surround headphones” was quashed by a pair of Corsair Vengeance 1500 USB headphones, which are 5.1. Because the audio on my whole collection maxes out at 5.1, I really didn’t test 7.1. I am somewhat skeptical that I could differentiate between 5.1 and 7.1 anyway. I do love home surround (I have it at our two main TVs) and these give me the option of roaming around the room, enjoying surround all-the-while and at times when I need headphones e.g. everyone else in the house is asleep. As for the microphone, in my experience, headphone mikes fall in 1 of 2 categories: either they “just plain work” or they let you down. The mike on the Vengeance 1500’s fall in the former category, although I don’t use the mike much, I did test it extensively and it is nice to know I won’t sound like Charlie Brown’s school teacher ;) One last point… We have wireless headphones at our TVs - infrared in the bedroom and Sennheiser radio wireless headphones the other two. Although both types meet the needs in their settings, they do have their limitations. Of the two, I prefer the radio versions, but the downside to the Sennheisers is that they have to be manually tuned often and still have static on occasion. With these Gaming VOID headphones, neither of these issues exist. They just simply work and work well. Overall, 5 eggs for some close-to-high range headphones for the mid-range price, when on sale =)

Pros: Good set of gaming headphones. The Dolby surround works very well for FPS gaming where sound stage and audio positioning is more important than absolute sound quality. Luckily it is easy quick to turn off and on, just hold the volume knob down for at least 1 full second and let go. The sound quality is good considering the price and other features of the headphone. I find myself using these to watch movies over my much pricier audiophile Sennheiser HD600 because of the wireless and Dolby surround. Very comfortable to use for extended period because of the light clamping force of the headband but these comes at a price of noise isolation. Wireless connection is great and haven't experienced any connection or interference issues at all. Also works with Playstation 4 out of the box with some lost in feature. You lost everything but the basic stereo and mic but they do work well.

Cons: RGB lighting greatly diminish battery life so remember to charge it every night. Otherwise, turn off the RGB lighting and these can go several days of moderate to heavy use on a single charge. As I mentioned in the Pros, the headphones have very light clamping force but these almost means the headphones let a lot of outside noise in and noise out at high volume. These are not for those wanting sound isolation from outside noise.

Overall Review: The design doesn't suite me but it's a personal preference. I think they should of went with a more minimalist and modern design to cut down on the bulk and weight.

Pros: Looks really modern and logo lighting up couldn't look better. I entirely love the RGB aspect of it and how it interacts with other Corsair products that are compatible with the utility engine. Compatibility with a newer X99 rig on Windows 10 was not much of a problem and as little trouble as you would expect from first initialization of a wireless product. I quite enjoy the rolling volume knob and the info mic lights that tell me how much charge is left on the headset and if the mic is muted in case I don't want to be heard on teamspeak or other voice chat applications. Comfortableness is unbelievable for a product of this price point and I'd say it's quite worth it to spend the money for the MSRP, but a slight discount at times wouldn't hurt. All in all, besides a small software hiccup, I'd highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a easy to use headset with full features and very respectable price range. I might revise my review once software is updated to be a bit more featured, but for now it's a hard 4 out of 5.

Cons: Had a slightly difficult time setting it up (wasn't much of a challenge, but still worth to note). Was not able to get it working on the first installation of the software, but after using a registry cleaner, running the %APPDATA% folder and deleting the Corsair folder, the headset installed like a charm, and the pairing was simple. The software is quite complex for a beginner and not too intuitive for a novice, I bet many people have to call in to the support to get issues resolved most of the time.

Overall Review: Software needs a redesign.

Pros: Corsair's Utility Engine (CUE) is what makes these gaming headphones a must buy. The sound quality transmitted through these headphones is superb. The 7.1 Dolby Surround Sound experience is nearly perfected through these headphones. Without any EQ filters applied, the direct sound transmitted-to and outputted-from the 50mm drivers is crisp, clean, full of bass and balanced with the right amount of treble. Movie dialog is perfect. Music doesn't sound any better. These headphones are comfortable to wear during prolonged periods of time despite their lightweight yet solid construction. The ear pads encapsulate your ears comfortably and they breathe very well. The head-strap has numerous stepping adjustments for all head sizes. The external LEDs are aesthetically appealing, especially when matched with other Corsair gear, however don't expect to use them for extended durations of time. The USB dongle's DAC initially installs flawlessly with Windows, even without Corsair's software.

Cons: Restricted to PCs. No Mac OS X support unless users run Windows via BootCamp or VM. No auto input/output through microUSB, only used for charging and firmware updates. Do not charge this unit while using it. It tends to produce a bit of heat. Advertised battery life is unattainable while LEDs are consistently operational. Charging mechanism via microUSB requires USB2.0 interface with a maximum amperage of 1.0A. Don't use anything higher than that to charge these headphones. Slight interference with devices running on 2.4ghz spectrum. Headset tends to slip forward throughout use. Microphone gets in the way when not in use. Microphone recording quality is subpar. Wireless USB dongle is a bit obtrusive.

Overall Review: Upon receiving these headphones, please do the following. -Charge the headphones to full capacity before use (the emitted led will shine green) -Download the CUE software from Corsair's website and install it (you may need to install with administrative privileges) -Plug the USB wireless receiver and wait for the driver installation panes to finish. -The CUE software will alert you for a firmware update (as of 03-06-2016) that can be installed for these headphones. Install it, as it resolves certain issues I ran into in regards to signal timeouts and wireless signal interference. -Power cycle the headphones and configure the CUE software to your liking.
