I have a question regarding the connectors.

My audio jack recently stopped working, so I'm looking for a set of USB speakers to use until I invest in a new motherboard or sound card. Since these speakers use both the USB (although seemingly for power only) and the 3.5mm audio cable, does this mean that I would require a working audio jack to hear any sound, or would the sound still be audible via just the USB?

Hello Charlie, good question! As far as I've seen it does require a working 3.5mm audio port, as the usb is only for power. Sorry if that's a bust on it, the speakers work quite well.
