Will the NZXT fry my VRAM?

This item is great for setting up and using in a video card just 2 flaws it doesn't cool the vrm parts but lowers the gpu temp a lot long as it's pared to a good water cooler, the vrm will need a heatsink or good air flow most vrm won't over heat on its own long as you got a good air flow and don't massive overclock but if you pare it with vrm heatsinks then this will do wonders for the cooling of your card but it really depends on your card the r9 290 vrm can hand 95c with no issue before thermal limit kicks in but different cards have different thermal limits etc

Will this work with the corsair h80i?

No it wasn't designed for the H80i, this is designed to work with all-in-one water coolers that have the round waterblock design from Asetek. e.g. Corsair's H50 or Antec's Kuhler 620.

It should but this adapter isn't the best at cooling vram and other power components on the video card.  Especially a hot running card like a 290x. If your goal is to overclock you'll probably only get a moderate overclock. Its better then no water cooling though.  The gpu will stay plenty cool but the rest of the card gets to hot. the included fan is just insufficient.    I'd spend the extra and get a proper water block like an EK that will cool the whole card. Granted that will require a slew of other pricey components.  Which is what I ended up replacing my kracken and this adapter with in my gaming rig.  I suppose it depends on what your end goal is and what your budget allows for.  But I'd pass on this nzxt combo if your goal is to do some serous overclocking.  If you just want a quiet rig and you already have an nzxt Rad, it may be worth it for you.

I've got the adapter paired with a 6850 in a steamOs/media box with no OC.  Its nice and quiet for the living room.

Question 4

Would this fit the Gigabyte R9 270X? On the NZXT site it says it's compatible with the 270X, but the Gigabyte is a considerably larger card than the Sapphire card, for example

I do believe it will fit, my card wasn't exactly specified on the list (R9-290X sapphire edition) but it ended up fitting with no problem. The way the bracket is, it's really wack but it gets the job done. And it's well worth it to, my stock cooler was barely (at 65% fan speed) able to keep the card under 85C under BF4 load, and sounded like 1 1/2 to 2 hair dryers, now, it's completely silent, and never breaks 75C under the same load. I think the gigabyte 270x is on a 280X PCB (for example, the EVGA 770 classified is on a 780PCB) so I'm pretty confident it will work. Cheers bro and let us know how it turns out!

Can you mount a 120mm fan on the Kraken G10 or supports 92mm fan only?

It supports only a 92mm fan as it comes.  Howeverm with a little bit of ingenuity, you could put a 120mm mounted on there, however I feel that is un-necessary.  If you are looking for good air dispersion from the bracket and you feel obligated to switch from the stock 92mm, find a different 92mm with good static pressure (due to the tight area the fan has to work within)

Question 6

Will this bracket also work with the Kraken X-61 Radiator? The specs only list X-60 but I cant imagine they are that different.. expecially since both are made by NZXT themselves.

The G10 can be used with any closed-loop cooler that uses Asetek's mounting system.

For example, I am using my G10 with a Corsair H110.  I pulled up NZXT's product page for the X61 and it is also manufactured by Asetek just like the X60.  Therefore, it should work fine with the G10.

Is this compatible with the Gigabyte GV-R797OC-3GD Radeon HD 7970?

The website lists it as compatible with a note for the HD 7970: ** Some variations in AMD die height may require the use of a shim.

I'm not sure what that means.

will this fit a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 960  GAMING?

It works on my Gigabyte GTX 970 Xtreme, so yes I would assume it will fit the 960. I also used it on a GTX 760 for a few years.

Does this work in sli? was thinking of getting two of them for 980s

Sorry, I installed mine on an older GTX770 card.  I checked NZXT's specs on their web site for this product and they say it is compatible with a Nvidia GTX980.  Hope that helps.

Question 10

Would this bracket work with EVGA GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0? I'm wondering because the dimensions of the GTX 780 are 4.376 inches for height, 10.5 inches for length and it's dual slot card. The dimensions of the ACX 2.0 are the same but asking just to be safe.
