As long as your computer has a PCIe x16 slot open, you should be good.

Now, I tried to google your PC to see if it might support a modern video card, but I was left with "maybe?"  It's possible that the model you bought has a motherboard which doesn't have a PCIe x16 slot.

Here's what you need to do; you need to look inside your computer's case.  Don't worry, the act of opening a case won't void any warranties.

Now, since you asking this question, please forgive me, but I am under the assumption you know very little about computers.  So, follow these instructions:

When facing your computer, the left side of it is what usually is opened for installing hardware.  So, here we go...

Step one) unplug everything from you computer
Step two) carry your computer to a non-carpeted space
Step three) lay your computer down with the left side facing up
Step four) get yourself a Phillips head screwdriver, and remove the top and bottom screws on the back of the computer (the back, meaning the place where there's all the plugs for your other devices like the keyboard, mouse, printer, internet, etc.)
Step four A) MOST computer cases will only have two screws to open up the case (Dell included)
Step five) Slide the panel you just unscrewed toward the back of the case, then lift up.

Congratulations!  You've just opened up the computer.  Take a swig o'that beer, if you got one handy!  Now, look for a PCI-express x16 slot (see instructions at end).  If you have one, then Yes! Your computer can support this card. If not... Well, I'm sorry

Greetings! I am not an idiot, I'm just feeling like one. Just want my dual monitors to work Dell Inspiron 530s (slim, low profile, whatever you call it). Windows XP Pro 2002. Wife has exact same OS, and it supports dual monitor. Mine does not. Is that a Windows thing or a graphics card thing? Couldn't I just buy one of these $30 cards, switch them out, and be good to go?

Hi there,
Theoretically yes, you should be able to use this card for dual monitors. This is not a high end video card, so don't have high expectations for gaming or applications that require high resolutions as the graphics processor is not meant to handle the work load. You will have to use both lower profile brackets in order to accomplish dual monitor setup and use either a combination of vga and dvi or vga and hdmi or hdmi and dvi. Hope this helps!

Will this work in a Lenovo M57/DC 2.5?

If the Lenovo has at least one free PCI slot, it should work, but the black heat sink (see picture) is quite wide so only you would know if there's room in the case for it.
