the support page on my ga-ab350m-ds3h say a SX6000 ASX6000PNP-256GT-C 256GB will fit. Will a terabye work ?

The "2280" spec you see is the physical size measurement, the amount of storage space doesn't affect that. 2280 is overwhelmingly the most common size for m.2 SSD's. 
Yes, that Gigabyte motherboard appears to accept any capacity model of this drive.
I have had this one for a while now, you just can't beat the price for that much SSD space. I usually stick to the big name drive brands with a reliable reputation, but this is just too good of a deal to pass up vs the price of an Intel, Samsung, and WD of comparable size.

This is a M.2 SSD, if the computer you are getting has an internal slot for it you can install it for additional storage capacity.  Look up how to install a M.2 SSD for more details on how to use this part, hope this helps!

I don't have a pci-e x4 on my mother board and need an adapter. Which pcie x3 adapter should i use for this ssd?

The x4 in this case means 4 pcie lanes are being used. Look at Vantec's adapters and see if you have a socket it will fit in. If you do go ahead and use that. If you don't the best you could do is get one of the adapters that will let you use it as a 2.5 SATA SSD.

Is this 3D QLC or 3D TLC?

This appears to use neither, but SLC type Caching instead.

The same NewEgg page for the XPG SX6000 Lite M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 3D NAND product shows that info under features:
"HMB (Host Memory Buffer) and SLC Caching"
