to my knowledge all Mac laptops that come with SSDs have non-replaceable ssd's, if you have an older hard drive based mac then you would need a 2.5 inch sata SSD, not a NVME drive.

What's the difference between the SX8100 and SX8200 Pro DRAM & SLC cache size?

The 1TB SX8200 pro has 150gb SLC cache, there is no reviews an spec sheets available that specify the cache size on the SX8100 but it can be reasonable (but not guaranteed! somehow the Dram on adata drives is hidden)  to assume that it is the same as the SX8200 pro, as for DRAM almost every ssd with DRAM is 1GB/TB but 512mb for both 256GB and 512GB versions. The SX8100 does have a different (slower) realtek controller compared to the silicon motion controller on the SX8200 pro accounting for the reduced iops and max speed. Both are using identical micron TLC nand flash from what I can tell. Both also have identical write endurance, and 5 year warranties.

I hope my lack of hard data on this ssd helps you make a decision.
