    LOADING...

The Dyson Ball Animal 2 Origin is a bagless upright vacuum with 245 AW of suction, designed for homes with pets and people who want powerful cleaning across carpets and hard floors.

    Recommended For

    • Pet owners who regularly vacuum shed hair from low-pile carpet and other household floors; testing found it effective at removing pet hair on low-pile carpet.
    • Households with a mix of carpet and hard floors that want one corded upright for routine floor cleaning; testing found it handled debris on both, with the brush bar able to be turned off for hard floors.
    • People who prefer a corded vacuum for longer cleaning sessions and do not want to pause to recharge; reviewers note its long reach and corded design.
    • Households that want a bagless upright for frequent floor cleaning and are comfortable emptying the bin and washing the filters; testing notes the bagless design and washable filters can reduce recurring costs.

    Real-World Use Scenarios

    • In a home with shedding pets and carpet, use it for routine floor cleaning; reviewers found it effective at picking up pet hair, though results can vary with carpet and debris.
    • For a home with both carpet and hard flooring, move between rooms without changing the cleaner head; its self-adjusting head is designed to adapt, and reviewers report it handles both surface types.
    • For everyday crumbs and dust on bare floors, use it for a regular room clean; independent testing found good bare-floor pickup, although some debris may need more than one pass.
    • When cleaning stairs, detach the wand and work from a nearby outlet; the hose and wand help reach steps, but the upright’s weight and bulk can make moving it between floors awkward.
    • On thick or plush carpet, expect the floorhead to be harder to push because it can seal tightly against the surface; it may suit shorter-pile carpet better than very plush rugs.
