states 82W or lower?? meaning CPU wattage?   need one for 95W AM3 quad core

I just bought one of these, and yes, I believe that is a cpu wattage rating, for how much heat it is rated to handle. So in your case it would not be optimum. However, it would probably work, and this one is a good price if you decide you want to try it. It may also depend on how much gaming you do. The fan should automatically run at high speed to try and compensate. It's kind of one of those things where you can try it out. If your cpu ends up running hot or even shut's down to protect itself it is obviously not going to be good enough. You can also monitor your cpu temp to see how it is doing using the free speedfan program. Download it from filehippo dot com so you can be assured it is virus free.
