what additional parts must I buy with this barebone pc?

Oops, I forgot to mention about a keyboard and a mouse you will need.  Logitech KBR400r is a wireless keyboard with a track pad, I recommend.  Then you don't need a separate mouse.

Question 2

What is the max graphic resolution? I plan to connect to a 2560x1440 monitor.

This is copied from the product manual on the Zotac website, so looks like the Display Port connection can go higher than the HDMI.
You might want to download and check the documentation for the graphics driver or contact their support to verify your requirement.

Question 3

Does this unit support running Windows 10? Has anyone successfully installed Windows 10 on this?

Yes, was running win10 on it, but then it burned out. Only zotac that ever overheated and broke.  Maybe shouldn't have used it as a server in top of the closet without direct cooling...  But yes it ran win10 fine while it ran.

Does this have a pci slot to add a tv tuner card?

No expansion slots, but if you have internet ,install free Linux mint and Kodi. I shut off my cable tv service over 2 years ago and don't miss a thing.

Question 5

For those of you running Linux successfully on this box - what version are you running?  My unit freezes frequently with Ubuntu 15.10.  Memtest runs fine.  Wondering if linux driver issue or a defective unit.

I have successfully installed and ran Linux Mint 16 on Zotac ZBOX CI320.  I did not run into any problems.  I presume you could install the current version 17 of Linux Mint since version 16 had no problems.

Will this work well with Steam in-home streaming? I want to put this on my 1080p TV and stream games from my Steam library to it.

I built this up as a media computer and I have it connected to my TV using the HDMI cable and I am able to stream from Netflix just fine. I am even able to get good results streaming 720p from YouTube, I do get some hesitation streaming 1080p from YouTube but it might be the OS or internet. I have full 8gb of system memory, 250gb Samsung EVO 840 SSD, running Windows 10 with 18mbs DSL.

What are the physical dimensions? Also, does it come with a mounting bracket for mounting to the VESA holes on the back of a monitor?

Mine came with the VESA bracket and the screws, everything you would need to mount to a TV or monitor.  The Dimensions are approx. 5x5x1.8 inches.

1. what is the memory voltage of ram?
2. will this take a 2.5" Hard Drive

The ram is 1.35v laptop memory.
I used:
Crucial 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model CT102464BF160B

The case is designed to use a 2.5" internal drive- best off with SSD drive.

Question 9

Does anyone know for sure that this supports dual displays?
I would assume so but it does not explicitly say that it does like it does in the Bi320-U (newegg) description.

Thanks for the info. Just got my CI320 (love it so far) and found that an inexpensive passive displayport to dvi adapter (like the Coboc CL-DP2DVI-3-BK) will work to drive the 2nd monitor.

Question 10

What kind (brand/model) of remotes will work with this unit?

Any chance of using an Android smartphone app (one of the universal remote types)? (If yes, please specify which one).

I want to use this unit to stream video to a computer monitor, so I'm just looking for a working remote with, say, play, pause, volume, mute.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. (I read in the comments that the IR sensor is problematic, so i hope someone found something that works -- or that the sensor problems have been fixed.)

Depends on what you're using for a media application.  XBMC has a great Android / iOS app that connects simply over wifi -- I use that instead of a remote, and it's much easier.  Plus, with multiple phones / tablets in the house, I never have to worry about losing the remote.
