It would. But unless you need a low profile video card there are better options. If you need low profile for a slim case this is the best card I've found.

Is the DVI Port DVI-I or DVI-D (can i use 2 VGA monitors on it)?

You can only use 1 monitor per port it has 3 video pipe lines
1 VGA
1 DVI
1 HDMI

Not all cards with have 3 video pipe lines, careful when choosing.

Question 3

Why under system requirements does it say 350-watt power supply suggested and then 49-watt max power consumption?

They estimate the rest of your system will draw up to 300 watts.

Question 4

I've been using two EVGA Gefore GTX 285s in SLI until recently, both of them finally died after a few years.

Would this card be compatible as an upgrade? and Would it actually be an upgrade over the two GTX 285s?

This is a PCIe card, do you have a PCIe slot?  I've installed 4 of them recently and have used the HDMI out, the DVI out and the VGA out on different computers.  I have not, however, used this same card for multiple monitors.
