Do I have to use the wireless range extender or can I just use it for a Powerline kit?

It does both, when you plug it in to the electrical outlet it creates its own wireless network and you can use the ethernet jack on the bottom to connect to the wired network.

Can i buy another 2 more(totally 4) and create a unique network around a large home?

You mean two separate networks within the home?  I don't know.  I do have four of these at my house, but they are the same network.  I'm not positive on how the second port acts.  If it's a switch, or separate network.  I have modem to port 2->port two to switch->switch to port 1->port one to other computers.  I am assuming that you plug one network into port one and one network into port 2 and have them separate.

Question 3

I cannot connect to the wifi in secure mode. The error message is incorrect password. How do I determine the correct password or reset the wifi password? My FIOS MODEM-Router does not support WPS.

I had connected to the setup following the Quick Start instructions. This is what William suggested. I was looking to identify or set the wifi secure mode password without using a WPS button. I developed a work-around by substituting a Linksys Router for the hobbled Verizon FIOS MODEM-Router and using WPS.

Question 4

Does it support two different types of signals such as 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz, since my router gives me two different bandwidths of the same service?

Because this product specifies that it supports N300, it is only set for the 2.4 GHz band. The rest of the specs from the product info/manual indicate support only for 802.11b/g/n, which are all generally just 2.4 GHz (except N occasionally). If it included a/b/g/n, then you would know it had support for the 5.0 GHz band, since 802.11a is a 5.0 GHz spec.
