is this 2.4/5 together or is it 1 or the other ? Also using as an AP will the other lan ports also be active and does it have its own ssid/password setup

(1) The unit supports both 2.4GHz & 5GHz bands simultaneously. (2) The Ethernet ports are live in all its modes (with no configuration necessary, i.e. just like an unmanaged Gigabit switch). (3) It does support its own SSIDs for both bands (the default configuration), but I use the same SSIDs as the main router (in AP mode, using different channels than the router) for smooth roaming (depending on each client device's "roaming aggressiveness").  All in all, this is a great 802.11ac extender/AP at a crazy good price.
