5 out of 5 eggsGood Light

Pros: Not indestructible like a metal Sure-fire or Streamlight but very well made, (And cost is not even close to a Sure-fire or Strealmight).

Plenty bright enough for most tasks.

I have used this light for over a year for everything from minor emergency field surgery to working on my car, changing tires, wiring an electrical box and much more.

Cons: Honestly, There is not much about this light that I would change, especially for the price. Stanley did a very good job.

Other Thoughts: I am a Firefighter/Paramedic and RN. I was previously a professional mechanic. I am never without a flashlight or two in my pocket. I know flashlights and I know quality. I have recommended this light to several friends and 100% of them like the light and have recommended it to others.

"Dave" says this is nt a LED light. That is not correct. I have one and have seen at least 10 others. ALL of them are LED.

"RJK" says as a "Con" the light is a flood not a spot. It is advertised as a flood and not a spot, how is that a "Con"? If you want a spot, buy a light advertised as a spot. That said, the beam is fairly concentrated and without defects. It is really a wide angle spot or a narrow angle flood. Sort of an in-between. Overall, I find it to be a VERY GOOD pattern that serves me very well.

The clamp is fine. I did not expect that it would clamp to anything, anywhere in any position without fail, no matter what. Use some common sense and it will serve you well.

4 out of 5 eggsChristmas Present

Pros: Good work light.
30 hour battery life.
6ft impact resistant.
Can be angled to almost any position.
100 foot range.

Cons: Flood light not a spot light.
Clamp is good but not perfect.

Other Thoughts: This work light uses an led, (not sure if it is a cree) with a wide angle reflector. Clamp is sturdy but not perfect. Lights up a large area and would be useful in a garage or for camping.

3 out of 5 eggsOld Tech Recycled With A Twist

Pros: Mounts to objects with the clamp
Low sale price
Reasonable quality for plastic
Good runtime
2 or 4 battery option is nice

Cons: Not very bright - 80 lumens
C cell alkalines specified, would have preferred 4 or more NIMH cells power source.
Old incandescent bulb tech not LED(s).

Other Thoughts: Chipper Shredder should refrain from making reviews about a product without having one. Defeats the purpose.

This might make a nice host light for an LED mod and I can use C-cell adapters to run it from Eneloop AA NiMH cells.

2 out of 5 eggsMore Information

Pros: Not sure what they are due to the poor specifications from Stanley. Its almost a gamble as to the lighting technology used, I assume the old fashioned incandescent bulb with magic pixie dust to make the alkaline batteries last longer.

Cons: So poorly advertised and marketed no wonder it is being clearanced. Stanley should stick to making screwdrivers.

Other Thoughts: I gave it a two egg due to price and overall design, I am being generous.

Does not say if LED or not so I assume not.
I did find some more specs using google.

"360-Degree Rotational Head for Versatility
With this flashlight you'll have unlimited options when it comes to shining the 80-lumen beam onto your work area. A 350-degree rotating head and 120-degree tilt ensure that the light goes exactly where you need it most. This feature also gives you the option of re-positioning the light without having to remove and reclamp it."

"Patented Battery Technology for Long Runtime
The 95-891 uses patented technology that allows it to take either two or four "C" batteries (not included). The light can run for up to 15 hours with two batteries and up to 30 hours with four batteries. Using four "C" batteries provides extended runtime for all-day jobs."
