4 out of 5 eggsSweet card on a good deal

Pros: Got it on an open box special

Great overclocker, on stock voltage I can hit 1060/1575, MSI Afterburner tops out at 1100/1575 so memory could potentially have more upside, core would probably go to 1100+ with slight voltage bump.

Runs nice and cool, hit 73 max on extended burn in using the above overclocking settings.

Cons: Hashing at about 610khash, which is slightly under what I was expecting for the 7950 per the Litecoin hardware comparison. Will still do more tweaking, but it might be a stretch for this one to get into the 700 range. At any rate I'll take 610 if that's the most she will give me.

Lost an egg for no sticker. I got a row of stickers for everything in my box, including the box. Well, everything except this PowerColor video card now. Not sure why they wouldn't include that, they do realize it's advertising for only the cost of a sticker right?

Other Thoughts: I was sketch because it was open box, and I've never used PowerColor product before, but I have been pleasantly surprised. All things considered, the open box price, the excellent overclocking performance, cool temps, etc. I am very pleased with this purchase, and would put the rating closer to 4.5/5. I will definitely consider PowerColor products in the future, but I do think they should send a sticker with each product.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card!

Pros: It runs great. My first modern graphics card and it blows away all my expectations. I still find myself toeing the water, so to speak, with graphics settings and mods, because i'm so used to not being able to just set at max and go about my business. This is at 1080p, of course. 1440p or 4K would of course need more power behind it, not escaping that.
Needed to RMA the first card, but the second runs wonderfully.

Cons: My card didn't play nice with modern games when i got it. That was a total drag. I tried fiddling with so many software things, thinking i must have set something up wrong, but it turned out to be the card. Tried out another card and it worked just fine, granted at lower settings, but at least the games didn't crash after getting to main menu. Unfortunately, by this time i passed Newegg's RMA deadline, and had to RMA to PowerColor directly.

That was really not as smooth as it should have been. They have very little information about the status of your RMA on the website. I submitted the form to get the RMA#, and after a week had passed (it was supposed to be within 3 days), i ended up just emailing someone and he pushed it through manually. Then they didn't update the tested status of my card, so i just emailed the same guy back and he told me it was tested as not working and i'd get a new one within a 1-2 weeks. Sure no problem. It was 4 weeks. That was a long 4 weeks.

Other Thoughts: I might have done well to spend another $10-20 on a brand known to have better customer service, but that's not really a big deal. Just bumped an egg off because of the extremely long wait, but hey, sometimes things happen. I've heard plenty of people say that PC's customer service is just delightful, so who knows?

4 out of 5 eggsDecent for LTC mining

Pros: I have had four running stable at 1500 mem clock and 1050 engine, getting around 600kh/s mining scrypt. Pretty decent but not amazing compared to the sapphire cards. I haven't tried undervolting so I can't speak to whether they are indeed voltage locked or not. The fans work great and are not too loud. I actually am able to sleep with one running in my bedroom

Cons: could be a bit better at mining, but still pretty good. Great for the price compared to the alternatives since I paid about $200 for these.

Other Thoughts: I haven't tried these for gaming, so no idea there.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: This card seems to be a great card but mind arrived a little bent and installs to where not all the pci-e connects are in the place they should be. Considering returning it for a new one.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsDang good video card!

Pros: - Fast!
- Overclocking BEAST! 1100/1600 with very small voltage tweaking.
- Extremely quiet! my case fans are quieter than this video card, even if it's at 75-80 percent fan.

Cons: The first one that I got lasted almost a month, it was then getting a short in one of the PCI plugs. I contacted Powercolor and got the RMA and sent it off, within 2 days of them receiving it, my replacement was on the way. (I understand that every electronic company has it's bad days so I'm only taking one egg off.

Other Thoughts: This is a very good video card, this card has taken everything I've thrown at it and just thrown it back at me. BF3, World of Warcraft, Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, etc. etc.

4 out of 5 eggsTruth

Pros: quiet and fast.
Massive improvements over my previous xfx 5850 in DX11 games , in some cases 600%+ improvements.I was impressed how well my AMD phenom II 965 Scales the GPU. HIGH res future proofed

Cons: Freezes from lack of voltage in Crysis 2(had to take an egg), I either have downclock core or up the voltage to fix it.Driver issues from some games unable to load up while AA turned on or some games unable to read the 3GB memory locks the seetings on minamum, this specific issue is with all 3GB+ cards though.O btw idk if this is a con , depends on your opinion , but this card is wide , very wide measure your case , I have a large case i spend 300$ on two months ago and i can't close the door on it , but it still fits lol :P

Other Thoughts: I can't wait to buy another one for crossfire , I'll probely wait for 8xxx series ;

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good, cooler needs improvement

Pros: Pretty tweakable card. Nice cooler system, very effective as a single card. Pretty sexy looking in the case.

Cons: Stock shroud design in x-fire makes it so the card above ingests hot air from the card below. This causes your upper card to heat up considerably. Make sure you have some good ventilation. Stock clocks ended up with the fan on the upper card going at 68% of speed. Card doesn't exhaust much heat out the rear due to shroud design not going all the way to the rear vents. It just re-circulates hot air back onto itself. Card out of the box had the rear metal piece bent (the piece that mounts to the case). Bought my 2nd card from another vendor and noticed the same issue. Seems like a manufacturing issue from Power Color. However, this was minor and a simple straightening with good ol' elbow grease got everything fitting nicely.

Other Thoughts: If Powercolor would extend the cowling to the rear exit and cover up those sexy heat pipes all the way to the PCB board so that air can only exhaust out of the front or rear of the card, they'd be able to prevent the hot air ingestion issue with a common x-fire setup. This would drop air temps for the upper card and would reduce the need for extra fans allowing for a quieter computer. Or if they'd offer a liquid cooling solution, that'd work too!
