5 out of 5 eggsAwsome Speed for the Price

Pros: Fast, made my own Fusion Drive on my iMAC 2009. It was installed in a Windows 7 machine until the user had trouble with the drive and decided to go with a 1TB platter drive. All it was that it needed was a firmware update. I have the fusion drive running for about 2 months now with no problems. I have it linked up to a 1TB with about 300GB of data on the total disk.

Cons: SSD needed a firmware update but that is to be expected with good quality manufactures.

Other Thoughts: Works great as a fusion drive in older iMAC 2009. Very fast and quick. had no problems with it since installing in a mac.

Pros: Fast

Cons: Died within a week. Unfortunately during a vacation and lost some underwater photos.

Other Thoughts: Argghh. Put into an older labtop to speed it up and take on vacation. Died during vacation. It is now one week beyond the 30 days for auto RMA. Hope the manufacturer will stand by their work.

5 out of 5 eggsAffordable upgrade

Pros: Excellent upgrade to any one who wants to decrease their boot time and load time on games. Vista went from a 1.5 minute boot time to under 20 seconds.

Cons: I bought the lap top upgrade kit instead of PC upgrade kit. The clone utility will clone the whole drive and not just a partition.

Other Thoughts: I have only a general knowledge of PC and was able to do this upgrade. If your thinking about taking the DIY plunge on this upgrade do it! Between Newegg, Crucial, and youtube all the info is there.

Pros: Fast drive, easy install

Cons: Data transfer cable did not work, Data transfer CD would not install. If Crucial is listening then you could send me a new data transfer CD and cable.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible speed.

Pros: Got this in the mail today (one day early!) and installation went smoothly. It comes with a "laptop transfer kit", but it works just fine if you have a desktop PC that you happen to be installing an SSD in. My desktop now boots in <20 seconds and all of my programs open INCREDIBLY fast.

Cons: I don't own a CD drive, and the software for transferring comes on a CD! This is mostly my fault, so i can't dock an egg for this. The software that is on the CD is called "EZ GIG IV", and you can get it for free with a quick google search.

Other Thoughts: A lot of people are complaining that this drive dies within a years time, i hope this doesn't happen to me.

5 out of 5 eggs5 Month Update

Pros: After 5 months of hard use, my M4 is working flawlessly. I've put this drive through every torture test, benchmark, analysis, installs of large games, uninstalled programs, defragmentation, optimization, cleaning software, partitioning, formatting, and firmware update. Before the firmware update, the drive would disappear after a sudden power loss or shutdown, requiring re-setting the BIOS boot settings and a few reboots. After the firmware update (040H), that problem was gone, and everything works perfectly. This is considered to be one of the most reliable drives available, and you couldn't prove otherwise by me. Buy this, you'll be satisfied.

Cons: Not the fastest SSD out there, although it's speeds are very consistent. That being said, the price is up there with much faster drives, so not really a low-budget solution, but given that it's in the top 3 for reliability, that explains why these drives are still selling well.

Other Thoughts: Didn't need or use the cloning kit, a clean install of your OS is always the best way. I see a lot of reviews claiming that a drive is defective (all brands) because it won't boot after cloning the old drive onto the new, but put the old drive back in and it boots right up. To me this says the cloning operation went south, and a clean install is indicated - don't be so quick to blame the drive!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Installed Windows 8 on this and set it up as my primary drive, from the time I hit the power button till the time I'm opening Chrome and browsing the web is less than 15 seconds. Installation was smooth and easy. Newegg was quick to ship this out but...

Cons: ... shipping was very slow. The eggsaver shipping basically means they ship via FedEx or UPS and then they in turn hand it off to your local USPS to actually deliver. I waited almost 10 business days for this to arrive and it showed up the day I filed an incident ticket. Newegg and Crucial 5 eggs, USPS? 2 eggs, I did get the drive in good condition it just took twice as long as it was supposed to.

Other Thoughts: My case doesnt' have 2.5" mounts so I made sure to order a mounting bracket along with the drive as it doesn't come with one.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Disk, Transfer Kit worked like a charm

Pros: Average Win8 boot time is 8 seconds. Thank you SSD's, I'll never betray you. Very pleased with day-to-day use, read/write speeds are fast--I don't know exact numbers, but honestly, who really needs to know? I don't wait on much with this.

I used the transfer kit on an older computer before doing a complete rebuild. Had zero issues with using it to clone the existing drive.

Cons: Make sure you update the firmware on this disk before you do much else. I neglected updating the firmware and kept having issues with my BIOS not recognizing the disk. No issues once I did the update though.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome drive!

Pros: I've owned this for over half a year now and like all the reviews say, this SSD has proven it's reliability. It's not the fastest, but it's an SSD, it's fast anyway; my boot time is about 10 seconds after POST. Waking up from sleep is almost instant and shutdown is slightly faster than boot up. It's my OS drive with most of my essential programs and a few games. 128Gb is the perfect size (currently 9Gb free). Setup was a breeze, cloning software worked great! Couldn't be happier!

Cons: Not enough space for the rest of my games, but that was expected. No biggie though, my games still load pretty quickly on my 7200rpm drives.

Other Thoughts: I have this drive as my primary OS drive, a 1Tb for games/programs, and a 1Tb for media. Both 1Tb drives are 7200rpm. All drives perform as good as new, I have the Crucial M4 to thank for taking the load off of them.
