Pros: Haven't seen any yet

Cons: Seemed to work for a short period, but when writing substantial amount of data there were write failures. Eventually failed completely and is not visible to the controller.

Pros: Easily installed cloned Vertex 2 120 GB in SATA1 position with AHCI enabled as boot and software program drive. 50 GB free space. Old 1 TB 7,200 rpm HDD in i7 build with LGA 1366 ASUS mobo retained in SATA2 position as a data file drive. Not starved for RAM with 12 GB. I work a lot professionally (marketing and corporate financial planning and analysis) with larger files in MS Excel and Access.

Cons: SSD is no faster in booting or in opening large files. Boot comparison is perceived, not measured. Timed both SSD and HDD at 27 seconds opening 72 MB Excel file (72 MB is compressed on the disk -- expands in RAM).

Other Thoughts: Maybe after all the hype I expected too much. I expected nearly instantaneous. OCZ has forums, but I think they could do better explaining installation and set up.

Pros: It's very fast and silent (of course)

Cons: Died on me. BIOS no longer recognizes the drive. I tried it on a second computer so I'm confident the problem lies with the drive.

Okay, so I understand tech stuff doesn't live forever. But what I don't understand is why it has been so difficult to resolve my problem under warranty. I've sent a number emails and even a fax and I've had very little response from the company. I've been waiting for about a week now to find out from the RMA department when I'm going to get a replacement drive. I've just about given up hope that I'll ever see my drive replaced under warranty. It seems as though the company just doesn't care about me as a customer.

Other Thoughts: I've learned my lesson. I'll never to buy an OCZ product ever again.

Pros: Drive works.

Cons: Rebate website fails each time during registration. It is impossible to complete the rebate process. I am out $30. I would not have purchased had I know that I could not get the rebate.

Other Thoughts: The rebate pdf and website provide no contact information to correct issues. Do not purchase if you plan on getting the rebate.

Pros: Nice Spec.

Cons: The rebate link does NOT work. Registration page ends up with showing "Page Not Found" error and that is it. No contact info or nothing. Even worse, OCZ does NOT respond to email inquiries. NewEgg return policy is 30-day replacement only. Can't get rebate while can't return?

Pros: Drive works and is fast

Cons: Rebate site does not work. I only brought this item b/c the rebate made is affordable to me. OCZ used a rebate agency that has a broken web site. No contact information is given. I spent an hour trying to get through it and it doesn't get to the confirmation page.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy thinking that you will get the rebate from them...

Cons: I was ready to buy this ocz product because of the rebate making the price more affordable until I read all the reviews about all the issues on how difficult their rebate program is. I purchased elsewhere.

Pros: Looked at this to replace HDD in ASUS UL notebook. But saw that it had a rebate involved so I bought the Intel X25-M instead.

Cons: OCZ rebate procedure is so bad, and they "throw up their hands" and blame it on THEIR rebate company, that I will not buy from them.

Other Thoughts: Worth paying more upfront for the Intel (especially for an arguably better product) and avoiding the angry feelings associated with OCZ's "we're not responsible, we're just hapless victims like you" attitude towards the terrible performance of the rebate company that THEY HIRED.

Nope, lack of honesty in this regard causes me to doubt the integrity and quality of their products. I will not buy OCZ products because of their corporate dishonesty regarding their rebate program.

Pros: OCZ: none
Newegg: shipped it the same day my order was place, well packaged, and it arrived the next day (today)

Cons: I fell into the category of people who received the 25nm 64Gb IC version of this SSD. What does this mean? Performance much lower than the advertised speeds.

What else does this mean?
You'll need to go through the long RMA process in order to receive what you thought you had originally purchased from the get-go.

Drive space was only 115GB RAW, and ends up being something like 107GB after format.

I wish I would have ready the reviews in depth rather than simply looking at the 4-5 egg rating :(

please take the time to read the latest reviews. Do your research before buying. The claims made by other reviews are correct: The original version of these drives may be great, but the newer versions simply do not perform as advertised. I would suggest purchasing another brand until OCZ has sorted this mess out.
