Will this charge the iPhone 6+ and will the iPhone 6+ set on this in the non-portrait position for watching videos?

It does charge 5&6 iPhones. As for watching videos, I haven't' tried to use as a stand, but I think it would work. Hope it answers your question.

Does it come with a plug, or do you have to buy that separately?

There is a plug in one of the photos. I think that is a wall plug that fits into the device. Not sure but looks like it to me.
