3 out of 5 eggsGood not Great

Pros: I bought this TV for 3 reasons. The first was because it was a 3D TV and I wanted to experience what the 3D had to offer. The 2nd was because it was a 120Hz and everything I read about 60Hz and 120Hz the 120Hz was the way to go. The 3rd reason and biggest reason was because it offered Dual Play technology where 2 players can play split screen games and see just their screen. The overall performance of this TV is great! Don't let the 3 out of 5 on my review sway you away from the purchase. I really like the amount of apps it has to offer even though I don't use most of them. I also really think the 3 HDMI ports are nice even though I don't use them now. The picture quality is tops or at least as good as any 60Hz TV out there. And I used the 3D a dozen or so times. Only 1 time did I enjoy using the 3D part though for I felt the 3D was very poor. But other than that I did get my moneys worth out of the TV

Cons: I have 3 issues with this TV from day one. The first was how poor the 3D really was when watching movies. I never did purchase any that their onboard apps offered because the previews they offered were terrible quality.

The 2nd issue was that fact that it is advertised to be 120Hz but till this day I have yet to find anything devices or channels that give me 120Hz. I am always at 60Hz. The technician at LG said it would be fixed on the next firmware but I am 5 firmwares in and still I get 60Hz.

The 3rd and biggest issue I have with this TV is that it is advertised to do Dual Play Technology. I am a huge gamer so this feature was the decided factor for this TV. I have to say that this had to be new technology for LG because it stinks. When you are playing split screen with a friend you still see their screen and they still see your screen. Although you see more of your screen, seeing their movements ghosting in the back of your screen makes the gameplay almost not worth playing and anyone who has sensitivity to their eyes could very well have a headache within minutes of game play.

So if you just want a great TV that is flat, has great apps, and a really nice picture this could be one to consider. If you are looking for any of the 3 things I listed above then I would probably pass on it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Picture Quality

Pros: Beautiful picture quality compared to a 4 year old 40" Samsung. Much deeper blacks and amazing contrast ratio. The 3D is amazing on this tv. I have tried the 3D tvs on display at Best Buy but this one has far greater 3D quality then those. Has similar 3D depth as at a movie theatre. It also does a pretty decent job of upconverting 2D to 3D but it is not quite the same amount of 3D depth as an actual 3D movie. Another bonus feature that I did not know I would be receiving is the quality of the Netflix app. When using the Netflix app on this tv you can watch movies in 1080p resolution for most movies that I have tried. The best I ever had before on my computer was 720p. I have also read a number of complaints about the wii style remote control that comes with this tv but I really like it. It is very accurate and easy to use. I have had no problems with it what so ever and I like that it does not have so many buttons to learn. Its kind of like using a computer mouse with a few more buttons.

Cons: The 2D to 3D converter is not perfect but I don't think any of them are. Movies designed for 3D are always better.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Enough

Pros: Price, 3D Glasses, Plays Media Files

Cons: Dead Pixel, Remote is Akward

Other Thoughts: Very disappointed to find a dead pixel on a $1,000+ TV and that the rebate form has to be postmarked by a certain date, my post office sends items to another post office before they're post marked, which takes two days.

5 out of 5 eggs@ blue camel

Pros: Newegg being the awesome company that it is sometimes sells products at a price below that which the manufacturer allows them to post.

They literally cannot show the price before you checkout it is against their contract.

Thankfully they do secret sales sometimes to help out their customers and stick it to the man!

Cons: You are clearly daft or can't bother to research or read why this happens since newegg posts it as a help bubble near the price area. Instead you give a false review and complain about what is a great company. Please feel free to heed Lincoln's qoute:

Better to keep ones mouth shut and be thought a fool then to open it and remove all doubt.

Other Thoughts: Please keep your "hes a fanboy" comments to yourself I am a fan because newegg has amazing customer service, product quality, and reliability end of story

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: Had it for a week:

- So far great resolution, clear LED quality.
- No dead pixels
- TV came very nicely packaged and protected
the smart tv on LG is very nice, and comes with a huge amount of free apps pre-installed
- Great passive 3d, nice pop up effects, you wont tell the dif. between it and active and u don't need batteries or a charger.
- 6 pairs of glasses was very nice
- 999 with coupon code (cant be the price for these specs and quality)

Cons: - The remote control is annoying, slow response, annoying navigation, your palms and wrists will get tired fast. I won;t take an egg off for that, cause you can always get a remote that suits you.

the prise was as good as it gets. at 1300$ new egg rocks.

Cons: still havn't seen 120mhz . this is why i bought this tv.
motion bluer ghosting is seen all to well.
this tv should be a 5 star. but 60mhz is not what i payed for and thats all i get.
i payed for true motion and get blur motion .

Other Thoughts: I realy wanted a faster tv. mabe 60mhz is all my cable box will do. if thats the case it gets 5 stars
my computer only sees it as a 60mhz monitor that allso sucks. grate tv if you can get past the ghosting watching sports.

1 out of 5 eggsNO Buy! Secret Price??

Pros: None, didn't buy; see cons

Cons: Could have purchased; may have been good deal; but I don't purchase from BLIND PRICING OR 'TEASE' SALES! Had to go thru all steps of buying, right down to completing 'check out' before finding out the price. I don't play games with serious purchases. If I put my customers thru a 'game' like this, my doors would close.

Other Thoughts: Straight up, out front prices, work best, quick, easy interaction and transactions are what customers like. Makes for great repeat business.

4 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: This was an upgrade from a 3 1/2 year old 40" Toshiba LCD, and it's light years beyond the old set. Picture is crisp and bright, and 3D looks very good. Plenty of inputs for any devices you want.

Cons: No real cons, but I did subtract 1 egg for the "magic" remote. It's akin to the Wii remotes, and functions fine. But is very annoying that every time the remote is bumped the pointer comes up on the screen.

Other Thoughts: If you're going to hang this up on the wall, and you're using a slim mount. Make sure and use the spacers to give you a bit of clearance as the back of the TV isn't completely flat.

I haven't put much time into the "smartTV" aspect of this yet, but as far as a pure TV..thing thing is a beautiful addition to my living room.
