Canon 8 x 25 IS Binoculars

Canon says that these are not just their smallest and lightest image-stabilized binoculars, they're also the smallest and lightest image-stabilized binox in the world. These make a good multi-purpose binocular, with 25mm objective lenses and magnification of 8x, and image-stabilization to make for a steady view. They use a single CR-123A lithium battery, which helps keep the already light weight down.

Weighing scarcely more than a pound, these little beauties can go a lot of places you might not want to take bigger, heavier binoculars. For the backpacker who likes to do a little bird-watching, but doesn't want a lot of extra ounces in their pack, these would be great. Of course, for anyone who has some space in their glove compartment, they could be pretty handy.
