The Specs indicate the keyboard is backlit... is that correct? One reviewer indicates it is not!

Yes, this computer does have a backlit keyboard. The computer comes default with the backlight turned off, you have to turn it on. This is one of the nicest laptops I have come across. This thing boots in about ten seconds. I did spend the extra 100 to upgrade it to Windows 10 Pro, and it'll do about anything, and it does it in a hurry. No problems with it at all. I thought I would miss the CD/DVD player, but that hasn't been an issue for me as of yet. I would highly recommend this computer. Enjoy!

The RAM is integrated into the motherboard and so there is not a convenient way of replacing or upgrading it (I know this from opening the chassis myself, so take this with a grain of salt).  I don't know anything about your computer expertise so excuse me if this is patronizing, but 8 GB of RAM is currently sufficient for the vast majority of things the average person wants to do with computers; unless you're planning on doing large video editing or something of that ilk, you probably don't need more RAM.

After using the laptop for a while do you recommend purchasing it?

For some reason, I can't find any reviews on the laptop at all except for a bunch of bad reviews.

How is the build quality of the laptop? 
does it feel good or cheap plastic? 
I mean when I press a certain point on the keyboard the whole panel bend?

I am a light user for my laptop and don't have the experience to answer your question in depth. I have not had any issues with the laptop so far. It is fast compared to my desktop, it is lightweight, which I like. It does not feel cheap to me, but again, I haven't used many other laptops. The keyboard feels responsive and normal to me.
