4 out of 5 eggsGreat case for a small-ish build.

Pros: Small design, easy to work on the inside.

Cons: Due to it being a smaller case, it's a bit harder to move your hands around inside the case. Comes with very small sized PSU.

Other Thoughts: I am building a computer for my mom and she wanted a case to put on top of the desk. Bought this and it fits perfectly. Also look very nice in its current location. Very pleased.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello ,

Thank you for leaving feedback on our BK623 chassis. First off, we sincerely hope your Mom likes her new computer setup, it's perfect for her since it's a smaller build. We do have larger options available so if you have any questions about any of our chassis, please feel free to contact any of our social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram) or feel free to give us a call at (909) 348-0588. 5 out of 5 eggsSilent

Pros: Quiet,
Looks nice in media center,
Very cool with stock heatsink/fan,
Relatively easy to open and close.

Cons: Other than the very bright LED, none.

Other Thoughts: The case is very good, I used it for an existing HTPC that was in a Silverstone case (GD05B) which is much bigger, has 3 120mm fans, and yet my temps were exceedingly high. The Silverstone looks cool on the inside with the special HDD holder, but that was a pain to install the drives in, and the case in general is very hard to work with- closing the cover took many, many tries before it would finally fit and close, this one in comparison is a breeze. It is much smaller, 2 3.5" HDD fit in perfectly, I even attached a plastic holder for an extra SSD ( Attached it to the side of the plastic partition), speaking of which, Don't buy this case for the plastic partition cooling solution, my MB did not fit until I removed the adjustable tray completely, but the case is still running very cool- even though there are no fans other than the PS fan. This case is perfect for HTPC- quiet and looks very nice. The power indicator is way too bright though- especially in a dark HT room. One more thing, I'm using Intel's own heatsink/fan and an AMD Radeon HD5579 and it barely fit, so this case may not work for bigger heatsink/fan or longer graphics card.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Kevin,

Thank you for leaving feedback on our BK623 chassis. We are happy to read that you are enjoying the case and we will consider adjusting LED lights for future products. Thank you for choosing In Win.

Best regards,

In Win Development Inc.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent compact

Pros: Surprisingly, for having no case fans, it's setup can run decently cool.

Dust filter on the intake is a definite pro if you want to be mobile. I recommend adding a dryer sheet, or replacing the mesh with a finer one then the stock filter.

Size wise, this unit is actually small enough that with a small monitor, and accessories in the right bag, it's still good for airline carry on.

Cons: I wish it were just one PCI slot taller, so I could get a PCI blower inside without obstructing the intake on the PSU. Or adding a PCI wireless card.

Stock PSU is kinda worthless, unless you don't want a GPU.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case for the sake of building a portable machine in as small a package as possible. It's decent, small enough to fit into airplane carry on.

I recommend finding some way to add a frontal intake fan in place of the optical drive bay, if you're going to put in more powerful components like I have, since the case overall gets fairly hot while running anything intensive.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Kianoush,

Thank you for your valuable opinion on our BK623. We will forward it to our R&D and Marketing department for improvement. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,
In-Win Development

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case, a little cramped

Pros: MicroATX case for my HTPC that fits in my media center
Has space for 2 HDDs and a full-size optical drive
Near silent with stock Intel cooler
Comes with a power supply

Cons: Wiring is very tight. The power cable for the CPU is simply too short for my GIGABYTE GA-H81M-HD3 motherboard and goes across the expansion card slots. Thankfully, I'm not using them.

The power LED is way too bright. I had to put a piece of electrical tape over the LED it was so bad.

Getting the case opened and closed could be easier. It was especially difficult to close it properly after getting everything installed.

Other Thoughts: There is a rubber slot to run the cables for the optical drive through the black piece that fits over the CPU fan.

There are two power connectors for drives. One is designed for the optical drive and the other for the HDD. Unfortunately, both cables have one SATA and one molex power attachment. If you want to run 2 HDDs like I did, you'll need a molex to SATA adapter. Repeat, IF YOU WANT TO USE 2 HDDS, YOU'LL NEED A MOLEX TO SATA ADAPTER. I guess this case could be used with older systems that still use PATA.

5 out of 5 eggsTiny yet fits full-height PCIe video cards

Pros: Exterior dimensions are very compact (less than 6" wide)
Power supply driven within 80% of 300 W without issues

Cons: Small case means there's almost no room to work when swapping parts
No auxiliary PCIe power connector (efficient power video cards only, i.e. Radeon 7750 @ 45 Watts)

Other Thoughts: I use this case "upside down", with the power supply at the top drawing cool air in. I have a flat rabbit cage fan (originally intended to be a PCI slot cooler) exhausting warm air from the top of the case. Video card is a "silent" model, huge heatsink does actually fit into the case. Large aftermarket CPU coolers will probably fit only if the optical drive is removed.

5 out of 5 eggsIndustrial art

Pros: After hundredss of times upgrading the insides of this case, it still comes apart without falling apart and goes back together right every time
At first, I thought it was flimsy. It isn't.
Top-grade engineering.
Perfect size for me.
Runs cool and silent with just the CPU fan and the PSU fan, since I learned to properly use the partition plate.

Cons: It ate CPU coolers until I started sealing the air holes on the partition plate with duct tape.

I learned from burning out a CPU cooler's fan that extra care is needed to make sure the cables to the DVD burner stay out of the fan. Duh.

The stick-on feet really suck, but I got some aftermarket feet that work great.

Other Thoughts: After I learn to administrate a Smoothwall firewall I built from spare parts, I'm buying another of these cases for an Ubuntu Server/WordPress/Moodle webserver that fits my standup desk.
A $7.00 Arctic Cooling Alpine GT 64 has kept my AMD A8-5500 happy for 6 months or so now.
It just got an ASRock FM2A88M motherboard and I'm way happy with the way the machine works now.
This is a helluva long way from the Sinclair ZX80 I started out with in 1979.

5 out of 5 eggsInWin SFF Tiny Tower

Pros: -Perfect Form Factor
-Fits full size Graphics
-300W Built-in PSU provides plenty of power for a variety of configurations
-Cooling partition works perfectly for stock Intel coolers
-fits 2 x3.5 HDD's, and a 5.25 CD/DVD/BD Drive
-Lights on the front of the case and case itself are attractive.
-Made from Solid Materials
-Device is less likely to tip over than thin models due to full width

Cons: -Ventilation is not in excess
-working with just one unit might be confusing due to lack of instructions
-Top of the case can be difficult to get on

Other Thoughts: Used in 20+ Workstation configurations for the ease of assembly and small form factor associated with the device. These units do not seem to collect as much dust as the dell units that they replaced. Employees love that they have a much greater amount of leg room.

It takes me approximately 40 minutes to complete a build in this case with having to unbox everything as I go. This is pretty quick and allows me to produce more units in less time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case for a trunk mounted CarPC

Pros: This is a very small footprint case, just what I need for a trunk mounted CarPC. My 2011 Sonata didn't have room under the front seats for my old Travla c289 case, so I had to go to the trunk. This case fits nicely in the right back corner behind the tire. It allows for an external 5.25" and 3.5" drive bay, one for an SSD boot drive and one for a 3tb data drive. Being able to easily remove drives allows me to make updates away from the car. Did I mention how small this case is?

Cons: Air circulation isn't the best, so you really need to plan ahead and use low power and low heat output components. Also, beware that a long drive in the 5.25" external bay will sit over part of the CPU, so you will need to stick with the stock heatsink / fan or go with a low profile model with no more than 70mm combined height.

Other Thoughts: My situation is a little extreme in that I needed something small but also something with good air circulation. My trunk mounted PC is for a car in the Atlanta, GA area, so it gets to some pretty extreme temps in the trunk. I cut an additional 2 holes in the side to mount an 80mm and 92mm fans (Noctua). That helped take temps on my Intel 2120t to 50C under heavy load. So the extra fans reduced my temps about 15C and really wasn't much louder, got to hand it to Noctua. This is with an ambient temp around 30C in the trunk. Best yet, I have more room in my trunk for strollers and other baby necessities.

5 out of 5 eggsstands up well

Pros: solid, well made case with a quiet fan. Smallest one I could find that can take two hard disk drives; I put a RAID controller in it and it worked like a charm. Have had it for 2 years with no problems.

Cons: because it is a small case, everything is a bit tight.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mATX Small Form Case

Pros: Awesome little case for basic PC configurations. Took me a bit to figure it all out, but after that everything came together nicely. I like this case so much I just bought 3 more for various projects.

Cons: Instructions aren't the greatest, but didn't take long to figure out how it all goes together. Not necessarily a con, but not sure how this case would do with an add-on video card.

Other Thoughts: I got this case for my wife's Windows 8 Pro system. She has a small desk in the kitchen so space is at a premium. This case was just what was needed. Much smaller than her old mATX case. I love the design, unique and functional. I'm building three more systems (a couple test units and an HTPC). Great job InWin.
