It isn't just that this case has an 80mm fan on the roof and one in the rear, or the 120mm Fan up front and one on the side panel. It is the skill and precision in which they are placed, to make the cooling power of the four fans greater than the sum of its parts.
With all of that, you can feel secure filling it’s four external 5.25" and two external 3.5" drive bays, and its ample five internal hard drive bays without fear of blocking air flow to your maxed out ATX motherboard, all seven of its PCI expansion slots full. Awsome Quality
- Pros: The quality in this case is great. There are no sharp edges any where in sight. The removable motherboard and hdd tray is just smart. The cpu duct is made so that even my massive BlueOrbII has optimal clearance.
Great cooling system with plenty of room. The case is built very solid, with no rattleing components.
(The fans supplied are great for the normal person building a computer but not for an overclocker.)
- Cons: The only con with this case are the stock fans. They are medium grade fans. With the stock fans my temperatures are about like they were with my old case, but once I drop in my other set of fans, oh my it is a different story.
Bottom line, replace the fans if you plan to do major overclocking like I enjoy.
- Other Thoughts: At first I was worried by the rather unusual air flow that the Lian-Li site shows, but that uneasiness was soon put to rest. This case works well even with stock fans.
- Pros: Exterior satin finnish flawless. CPU fan shroud is adjustable & totally removable. HD tray, receiving cooling via the front mounted 120mm fan, allows HDs to be vertically mounted on long edge, or horizontally mounted with supplied bracket adapter. Case is very sturdy, roomy & not a sharp edge to be found. I did one motherboard R&R W/O having to remove the convenient MB tray. Front panel is easy to remove. Side window 120mm fan assembly, mounted using 4 thumb screws, quickly removed for open interior access. Bottom mounted front panel wiring connectors for audio, USB & 1394 are excellent, well labled & easy to work with. Lian Li even provided a tool for screwing in the MB standoffs, another thoughtful touch. The pics provided by Newegg & the Lian Li website do not adequately show off all the qualities of this wonderful & well thought out case. By far this case is great value for the price. You won't go wrong here.
- Cons: None, & believe me, I've looked high, low, in & out.
- Other Thoughts: Current configuration: MSI K8N Diamond Plus MB. AMD 4200 64 processor, with stock HS & fan. EVGA 7900 graphics card. 2 GB OCZ Platinum ram. BFG 650 watt power supply.

Screws
- Pros: Except for the motherboard standoff and screw issue discussed below the case is superb.
- Cons: The little sealed package of standoffs and screws for mounting the motherboard do not work together. The screws are too large to screw into the female end of the standoff all the way so the motherboard can not be secured. When fastening the screw into the standoff fine metal shavings are produced that deposit on the motherboard and in the case. Also, the sealed package contained 12 standoffs but only of these lovely 6 screws. ATX motherboards typically require 9 screws. For $130 I expect better screws. I've run into this with other Lian Li cases as well.
Great Case!
- Pros: Price.
Compact and easy to work with.
Fits CoolerMaster v8 almost perfectly.
Very clean external look.
Feels sturdy.
- Cons: no holes to set wires behind the motherboard for clean look.
Back exhaust fan was not big enough.
- Other Thoughts: I used this case to build a computer for a friend. Originally we used one of those simple CoolIT all in one liquid cooling with the radiator supposedly mounted on the back exhaust fan but it wouldnt fit. We later used the CoolerMaster v8 and it fit perfectly. It was about 1/2 inch from touching the window. I had an EVGA GTX 285 SC in it and it barily fit. If it was any longer I would have had to relocate the harddrive from the harddrive carriage because it was blocking the way.
wow, just wow.
- Pros: I was recommended by a good friend to buy a Lian Li case, and I don't think I will buy any other brand of PC case after using this. This brings a whole new standard to my expectations from a PC case. Everything is modular and can be adjusted to fit your needs. If you want the ultimate case, get this one without hesitating. Well worth the money. I will opt on another soon for the media server I'm about to build.
- Cons: none really.
- Other Thoughts: Fans are a bit loud when you fire up your machine, but I knew that when I bought a case with this many fans. I don't care much about the noise as you can't hear it when you're gaming anyway.
