5 out of 5 eggsOverall great case

Pros: Got this case after using a PC-A70B for several years and no longer being able to get another one. On the plus side it has four USB ports on the top and an ESATA port; whereas my previous case only had 2 USB ports and a firewire port.

Cons: This case is designed to be tool-less compared to the PC-A70B, but I have to say that I still prefer the more traditional design of my first case.

Other Thoughts: Not too fond of the blue LED's on the fans either...

3 out of 5 eggsWhere's the beef?

Pros: Tooless design, plenty of room for the most part, good ventillation, Looks good, quiet.

Cons: Front aluminum bezel/cover has a PLASTIC horizontal grill. That doesn't bug me much though. What really irritates me is the thin materials in the overall construction. The aluminum that makes up the top surface is only 1mm thick!!! That's ONE MILLIMETER..... 1mm=.40in. a

human hair is 3 to 5 thousandth's so assuming four thousandth's, the top panel is only is 10 human hairs thick!

I could put a hole through it with a screwdriver if I wanted to or if I accidentally dropped something on it it

would have a large dent. Plus when you tap it with your hand it makes alot of noise and reminds me of a cheap

cookie sheet.
Heh but the floppy bay adapter is practically indestructible with 1.5mm or.60in. thick for your 5 dollar floppy

drive. I'm lost, I don't get the reasoning or what they're thinking over at Lian Li but I wont ever waste money

on another one of their cases. This thing makes me want to tool up and start building my own custom cases.

Other Thoughts: Continued>> The mobo tray is also flimsy. You'd think this is the part that should be sturdy since it's gonna hold alot of weight but it's too thin. The cpu cutout is misaligned for the amd MSI GD70 to the point it's not usable,so mobo removal is required for backplate replecement. Now I have a flimsy MOBO tray with a big hole in it:) Also being so thin I think they should've placed imbedded steel insterts in the tray to prevent mobo standoff threads from stripping the thin aluminum since there's not much material to work with. Some reason they used imbedded steel insterts in the GPU support arm, For what?? Not like those threads are gonna see any torque anyway. plus the gpu support arm isn't compatable with the latest generation full coverage cards anyway unless you use waterblocks then hopefull the right part of the circuit board is exposed for it to function.Wish I would've waited for newegg reviews to come out before I bought this case. Feel like I just got ripped off

5 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: Spacey, big. Plenty of room inside with or without cable management.

Cons: Pricey

You have to leave slack on SATA power and data cables to take out HDDs safely.

Other Thoughts: Greal overall case for peaple who like full towers.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: This case is an overall great case, where you have awesome airflow and plenty of room to upgrade with easy tool less hard drive installation. Great build quality too there's only a 1mm between any of the panels everything's a tight fit. The hard drive trays also have rubber between the tray and the case to minimize vibrations, slide out motherboard tray, and a really interesting way of sliding out the side panels. This case was also intended to be very quiet, there is insulation on the side panels to keep the sound down where it would just bounce around in normal aluminum cases and they also include zip tie's and more insulation in the package. Great Service by Lian Li.

Cons: I've had an issue with wire management on this case, hence the egg off. Even as I was cleaning up the wiring on this case I was screaming hell with it. If you do get this case get a modular power supply it will help you out tremendously.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case

Pros: What a great case. The construction is better than I expected, tight build, sturdy feel and reinforced. My prior case was > 10 year old SuperMicro steel was strong (and an anchor), but had it's own problems with airflow and layout. This LL is a work of art in comparison.

- Excellent airflow, quiet (not silent, but close enough)
- Near-perfect layout with plenty of flexibility
- Appearance (pictures don't do it justice)
- Special features: PCI and front bay design is better than I expected (PCI holders can be removed for the optional VGA cooler LL sells)
- Optical drive bay cover for a clean front...perfect design and operation, ordered a second one (inexpensive too, see LL's website for product number and use the google)
- Choice of blue fans and blue/red power/hdd light against the black case is gorgeous...esp. with the black mesh grille.
- Power button and USB, etc on top is a plus for me
- Removable motherboard first..very nice.

Cons: - Fingerprints of course, but in a room with limited won't see them at all. It's the nature of the material. Not sure how it could be made better...paint it? Ugh. Might scratch too...not sure.
- The trays in the front of the case I suppose might hinder some of the direct airflow toward the back of the case. However, you can add additional fans to the VGA support or the rear of the drive there are options as needed. Cool air is still forced into the case though...and there is no apparent add'l noise that I can detect.
- The thickness of the aluminum sides is about what I was hoping for, the side panels do have some mass to them when you take them off (and have bracing)...but coming from steel, another mm might be better. Still, they are adequate at 2mm.
- Outer guard for top rear fan needs less material as it restricts's removable (again, nice options); also removed inner guard for lower rear fan...simple enough.

Other Thoughts: I have to say, I love just looking at this case. I never thought lights could add to a case, seemed silly and juvenile to me. Well...LL did it right. It's a classy and stylish mature looking case that is anything but gaudy. Extremely functional and well laid out. My components are all running cooler and was able to add some smaller low-rpm fans for RAM and SB, but didn't need to. The blue is similar to that of a natural gas flame.

UPS shipping worked! I expected a demolished box, but it arrived nearly mint (i know, that's unbelievable). Thanks UPS, and LL packed it well.

This has been an enjoyable experience all the way around. If you are looking for a case of this size that is near silent (on low, low-whoosh on med), this case should not disappoint. To the reviewer who said he's in love...yeah...I know what you mean. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case - lots of room to expand

Pros: Lightweight, excellent construction, top panel ports have it all, looks great, no-tool design, removable motherboard tray, fans are pretty quiet, excellent expandability, rubber feet, DVD drive bezel looks great, fan controller has plugs and leads for all 4 stock fans, the list could go on and on.

Cons: I wanted my DVD drive in the 2nd bay down. The way the locking mechanism works, you have to move some pins to do this. It was impossible. I removed the pins and used screws. It still works fine and only took a minute.

I wish they made the fan wires longer so you could route them out of the way. It's not a big deal but would have been nice to not have to get some after spending this kind of money.

Other Thoughts: This is a VERY tight case. The sides and front fit together TIGHT. When you get a case like this it almost seems like it's built too tight but once everything is in fits fine. I really wanted a window and almost got a TJ-07 but I'm happy with this. They will have the window out soon and I will just get one then or have one made. If Lian Li is reading this.....MAKE A SIDE PANEL WITH A WINDOW.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm in love

Pros: --Keeps my 7 hard drives perfectly cool.
--It is solid and well constructed.
--Lots of room for full sized video cards
--No sharp edges
--Well designed
--Excellent air flow with possible upgrades should you somehow need it. The top can be upgraded to support three large fans with manufacture add on.
--5 1/4" bays can be converted to 2 and/or 3 more 3.5" hard drive bays with active cooling with add(s) on from manufacture. Theoretically supporting 15 3.5" drives is amazing!
--The built in fan-throttle worked for me just fine.

Cons: --Sadly the back upper fan made a slight wine and I ended up just disconnecting it for now. There is more than enough cooling for now.

Other Thoughts: I have never owned a full tower case before, but this is NICE for my media server.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Everything you could ever want in a case. 99% toolless and more room than you can shake a stick at. Huge video cards seem normal in this beast. The trick holddowns for expansion cards is very slick.

Cons: Not making the same model they make for an even more expensive brand here. It would have been my choice if there was one that had a Lian Li badge on the outside.

Other Thoughts: Second model from this company and it's doubtful I will ever go to any other brand. The quality is second to none and functionality is the best.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Overall the case is very well designed and feels extremely durable. Installation was very quick. 7 of the hard drive slots are tool-less (the bottom 7) and the 5.25 bays are tool-less. There are two PSU slots, if you put your PSU in the bottom then you have the option of putting 3 HD's in the top PSU slot using thumb screws. PCI slots are also tool-less and my GTX285 fit in very easily even with a full rack of HD's. The removable motherboard tray is extremely well designed and made installation much easier. There is also a hole in the tray in case you need to swap out CPU heatsinks/blocks later down the road.

All of the stock fan locations are ideal, and fans are all working properly, efficiently, and quietly. I honestly like cases like this which have a simplified airflow (from front to back) with no other side or top vents. I am running liquid cooling and I needed the flat surface on top to place my external pump

Cons: Anyone buying this should know that this is one of the largest towers you can get. (with that being said it is still extremely lightweight)

1) The liquid cooling tube holes are a bit too small, and I had to remove the rubber washers to fit my tubes nicely through.

2) In order to clean the front air filters, you have to remove the front panel. You also have to remove the front panel to gain access to the fan speed control (all 4 stock fans are controlled by one switch)

3) With a case this big, I wanted to keep all the cables in the front for easier access, however the bottom hard drive rack is designed such that their ports are facing the back of the case. If you want to swap HD's, both side panels have to be removed.

4) The tool-less 5.25 and 3.5 bays are some of the only plastic used in the construction of this entire case. I hope the plastic components can last as long as the rest of this case.

Other Thoughts: Overall there are not enough serious cons to give this case any less than 5 eggs. So far, everything is working great and I can say that this is the best tower I have ever owned. If you're contemplating at the price of this just think you get what you pay for.

4 out of 5 eggsI love it!

Pros: Very good quality of aluminum parts and finish. Fans are quite and provide good air flow. Removable mobo tray is very convenient. All computer components could be install easily and quickly.

Cons: A bit bulky to move around. Wish to have something like handles or bars.

Other Thoughts: I bought extra 3ft. SATA cable to connect CD-ROM when tuned the comp. PCI brackets a bit loose from the mobo side, need to be shimmed with some plastic pieces. VGA pillar is useless for big cards, like GTX2XX and should be redesigned. When arrange the cables it's better to take the vertical pillar brace off.
