LIAN LI PC-60FN Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case has ample room for everything you need to put in it, and every part is so well-machined that my then-1-year-old son clambered around inside the case before I put the system in it without even snagging his clothes on anything. All parts are well-made and fit each other snugly. Built my rig nearly without using any tools other than a Philips screwdriver and a pair of pliers. The blue LED light in the front fan is elegant without being over the top. The power and reset switches are on top, making it unlikely my sons will inadvertently power the system down.

Cons: The front face of the case is easy enough to remove that my kids knock it off by accident every so often. Not enough of a con to merit removing an egg.

Other Thoughts: This is the best case I've ever had the pleasure of building a PC in, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a solid case without unnecessary "bling". I just ordered a Socket 1155 ASUS Sabertooth MOBO and a Core i7-3770K to replace the ASUS P7P55D and Core i5-650 that have inhabited this case for over two years. The new CPU and mobo should do this beautiful and practical case justice.

Pros: the price of this case it great. it will fit any card. the hdd mounts are clean. lots of breathing room. Bottom mount power supply is great. I cant say enough about this case and its quality. the fans are quiet and cool. power buttons and usb are on top. My build has two amd 6870's that are a great fit.

Cons: cable management space could be better.

Other Thoughts: This case is a fav of mine now. I am not a huge fan of led lit fans but it tells me the pc is on i guess.

Pros: Great quality, outstanding design, and good looking. Everything is perfect. The hard drive bays are so easy to use thanks to a very smart design. Much better than that of Antec 900.

But to me, the biggest difference is the noise control of the front panel ports. Antec was terribly noisy, likely due to an insulation or grounding issue. In fact, all the several Antec cases I used had the same problem. The front panel ports for the audio of Antec 900 were essentially unusable for any serious listening.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I was actually a bit surprised by how clean the front panel ports of Lian Li are as I was used to the noisy ones. Obviously, Lian Li is not only paying attention to such details, but also knows how to make things right, like proper wiring, grounding and insulation.

Pros: Nice, roomy case; very large (almost too large). Very easy to work with; tool-less hard drive and dvd drive bays. Stock fans that come with it are very quiet and efficient. Areas where you can run the cables underneath so they don't take up as much space. Good construction, and very good looking. Looks much better in person than in pictures.

Cons: For some reason, the default orientation of the HDD cage faces the drives AWAY from the motherboard. Realigning it took a good 20 minutes (partly because of poor instructions in the manual). Also, the little panel that houses the back USB and audio ports were a huge pain in the behind to align properly. Minor gripes, however, and don't detract from overall experience.

Other Thoughts: Too large? For a mid-size case, it's a REALLY large case. Fits my GTX460 and then some...

Pros: lightweight, roomy, no tools required, good design, bottom mounted power supply, wire management, dust filters, sexy....

Cons: could be smaller, could be a little thicker.

Other Thoughts: my 4th lian li case.

Pros: This case is rigid but lightweight.

Metalwork is very good. As in you could lick the edges if you wanted to and it would probably taste like chocalate.

Radiates heat very well.

Beautiful finish.

Cons: The HD enclosure's top screw is too small and light to be used inside a wristwatch let alone a computer case.

No removable air filter on the bottom for the power supply.

Other Thoughts: Worth every penny! I have always treated the case as an afterthought but now see the real value of spending a little more on a fine case like this.

Pros: This is a beautiful case with lots of room inside, and all of the edges inside the case are finished so I did not cut myself even once putting my build together. The hard drive enclosure is also very well thought out, with adhesive rubber pads on each pull-out tray to minimize vibration. Putting my system in this thing was a cinch.

Cons: The only problem I had with this case was getting the screw for the HDD enclosure back in after I rotated said enclosure 90°; considering everything else, I didn't feel this merited taking off any eggs from this rating.

Other Thoughts: My year-old son climbed around the inside before I started working on it, with plenty of room to spare. My 8 year old loves the fan LED, as do I (even though I had my doubts before I actually saw it in action). This is my first Lian Li build, but definitely not my last.

Pros: Very roomy case. The largest mid-sized case I've owned yet. Even though the mb tray is not removable, it's easy to work in. Like most cases nowadays, it has grommets/holes in the mb tray to thread cables behind the back panel. Extremely light weight.

Cons: Since the power supply is on the bottom, the 8-pin pci-e cable did not reach the corresponding socket on the motherboard. I had to wait a week to finish my build while I waited for delivery on the extension cable.

If you are thinking of any case with a bottom mounted power supply, check to see where the 8-pin pci-e power socket is on your mother board. If it is in the upper portion of the board, above the CPU, you will most likely need an 8-pin extension cable.

While the fit/finish is excellent, I noticed that the power led light leaks out between the front and side panels. A very minor observation, but noted for those who care about those things.

Other Thoughts: Every previous case I've purchased, I felt something was lacking (room, features, etc.) This is the first case that I feel has it all and can stick with through multiple builds. Cons overall too minor to penalize, a deserved 5/5.

Pros: This is my first Lian Li, and I'm happy to say it won't be my last. I bought this for a mod, and the first thing I did when it got here was take everything off the chassis, so that I could take the chassis and HD cage to a local painter to have it sand blasted and painted the color I wanted. I ended up missing him the day I took it to him, and the chassis sat in my truck for 2 weeks before it managed to make it there and get painted. 2 weeks of bumpy driving, florida heat and sun, and general abuse. once it finally made it's way back indoors to be put back together, not a single piece was bent or out of shape. I put everything back together no problem. this thing is made to last!

Cons: The feet are glued on as opposed to removable. not even close to being worth taking an egg off.

Other Thoughts: I also cut a triangular hole, about a foot on each side, in one of the sides for a custom window. no deformation at all after using a drill, jigsaw, and dremel on it. It looks quite professional. can't say it would look as good if I'd gone with a cheaper quality case.

Pros: Lightweight aluminum; silky black finish; smooth and rounded corners; tool-less drive bays; power button on top; 2 USB, audio in/out "front ports" on top behind little door; loads of room inside.
One of its best features is the HDD rack which can be turned 90°. That and the tool-less bays make replacing a HDD a breeze.
Speaking of breeze: the two stock fans with the unobtrusive blue neon light are incredibly quiet.
Another favorite feature is the bottom mount for the PSU. There is a vent below the PSU so that cool air is pulled in rather than recirculating hot air.

Cons: Finish does not hide fingerprints at all. I am constantly wiping it down.
Whenever I remove the side panel I have trouble re-aligning the tabs; all 6 must line up simultaneously before you can slide it forward. My old Lian Li was so easy: hook the bottom, line up the top and slide it forward.
The top USB ports are too close together (11/32" on center). They should have been farther apart or parallel instead of in line. I cannot plug in my thumb drive or Blackberrywhen something else is plugged in. This makes it pointless to have two ports.

Other Thoughts: This is one of the most beautiful cases I've ever seen. It's not one of those gaudy plastic cases that light up like a Christmas tree. Its simplicity is a sight to behold. It looks so fantastic in my office that visitors, upon seeing it for the first time, exclaim "WOW!"
