5 out of 5 eggsLian Li PC-V750WX Case

Pros: Others have already listed the positives of this case in great detail. In short, I've been building computers for over twenty years for home and work and this is the best case I have ever used. I plan to keep mine for a long time. I needed a height-restricted case to fit in my music-production desk and this case fit the bill. It has lots of room inside and looks great.

The front and top of this case are made from one, long piece of aluminum, with a smooth bend at the top edge, which is unique. The brushed, black aluminum looks great.

The airflow in this case superb (2 120mm front intake fans, 1 140mm bottom intake fan, 2 140mm top exhaust fans, and 1 120mm top, rear exhaust fan). I'm getting much lower temps on my CPU than in my previous case. The bottom 140mm intake fan is NOT included so you will need to buy it.

This case can hold lots of drives. If you plan to use lots of SSD's like I did (five of them), then you may want to order a couple Lian Li HD-321 internal mounting kits. The kit lets you mount two SSD's in one 3.5" bay while still using the stock rubber grommets that come with the case. This way, you can hold four SSD's in the cage with room for four platter drives, and still use the bottom 140mm fan, which I did not want to give up.

Cons: This case is definitely designed for air cooling, which is fine by me because that's what I prefer. The area above the motherboard in this case needs to be higher in my opinion. The top cable cutouts get slightly covered by the motherboard, and this plus the two top mounted fans get in the way of trying to bring some larger cable connectors through the top cutouts (like a 6-pin PCIe connector for my Asus Rampage IV Extreme motherboard). A radiator with fans will definitely not fit inside the case.

Also, there should have been more cable cutouts included inside the case. There is a lot of room behind the motherboard in this case (more than other cases) but only two smallish cutouts on the bottom in which to run the cables through (especially if you use a large power supply like the Corsair AX1200i which I have).

Other Thoughts: The person who rated this case one star because a side clip broke should really pay attention to the accessories that come in the box. There is a spare plastic side clip included with all the screws, and it's very easy to replace.

The fans that come with the case are good, but not great. I'm very picky about fan noise, so I replaced the three 120mm 1300rpm fans with NoiseBlocker fans and used three 140mm 900rpm Thermalright fans. The aftermarket fans ended up being much quieter.

The SATA drive bays come with hot-swappable back planes. Since drives inside the case aren't typically hot swapped, I recommend removing the back plates and not using them for reliability reasons.

The power button has a very bright, blue LED in it, which is too bright for my taste.

5 out of 5 eggsFine Art

Pros: Sleek and Stylish, and understated. The perfect case for the gentleman enthusiast. Can house any motherboard in a small package. Besides what you see in the photos, all of the I/O and fan cables are black, not the rainbow stuff. Multiple fan options and hotswap HDD bays. One of the best cases I've ever owned, and I went through quite a few over the last two years. Going to stick with this one for a while.

Cons: There could have been two cable management holes in the motherboard tray. PSU Install can be a bit tricky, so be careful not to scratch the finish. Window came a bit foggy due to the plastic covering it, but I guess that was from it sitting in the warehouse too long (see the price). Don't buy the 240/280 rad coolers, they won't fit.

Other Thoughts: One of the best V-Series cases LL has made. The Case of Gentlemen.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding

Pros: 1. Extremely well built.
2. Extremely beautiful.
3. HDD and SSD mounting mechanism amazing.
4. Lots of space for everything you need.
5. Cable management amazing.
6. Size of mid tower but fits everything like full tower.
7. All aluminum construction, very light weight but very sturdy.
8. High quality dust filters.
9. Front mounted power supply works very well, makes cable management easier.
10. Good airflow with(almost) all fans included, but there's a good reason one fan didn't come with the case
11. You can mount tons of HDD and SSD in drive cage, BUT in the floor too.
12. Hot-Swappable hard drive cages if you want that.
13. Attention to detail in this case is outstanding, simply amazing, all parts are high quality nothing cheap.
14. Optimize for Air Cooling.
15. Doors open and close mechanism is amazing, no thumb screws to open or close doors.
16. Paint is not easy to scratch.
17. Graphics card holder works very well if you have a very heavy graphics card, otherwise don't use it case looks much better without that install.

Cons: 1. Few water cooling options, especially top mounted radiators like H100i, there's not enough room on top for H100i with fans.

Other Thoughts: I don't believe it but I don't Think the price is a Con in this case. This case is simply worthy of every dollar. Is amazing just outstanding, first time I spent so much for a PC case but I'm happy, very happy

4 out of 5 eggsLight, compact, all-aluminum case.

Pros: This is another well-built, all aluminum, windowed case from Lian-Li. It is extremely lightweight, attractive, and holds a lot of hardware for how low-profile it is. I had no difficulty fitting my EATX motherboard in the case and it is wide enough for the large Noctua NH-DH14 heatsink and fans. I really like the Lexan window, which is thicker than my older Lian-Li cases.

Cons: I found the instructions confusing. They were also poorly written. I quickly tired of seeing "loose" for "loosen," for example. Some of the ways to put things together were far from intuitive. This is *not* a case which you just open the box and slap the components in. Generally it is screwless, but there are many parts which require a screwdriver. I would say that the pluses far outweigh the minuses. This cause uses lots of Molex connectors rather than SATA. Even the SATA drives connect with Molex connectors. Make certain you have plenty of Molex connectors for your power supply.

Other Thoughts: I absolutely love all-aluminum and I insist on a window. I wanted an EATX motherboard and a Noctua NH-DH14 heatsink. I have been a fan of Lian-Li for many years. I like the case very much, but I cannot say it is as perfect as I expected it would be. Lian-Li could have done better. Nevertheless, this is a case I like a lot and will use for many future builds.

1 out of 5 eggsBad!

Pros: Looks great.
It's quiet.

Cons: One of the plastic slots where the side panel pins go, broke, when I was trying to close it. I am not sure why that broke that easy, i did not even force it into place.
I feel terrible for breaking something on the first day and having spent so much money on it. Now the right side panel window has about 3-4 mm space from the body of the case which is clearly visible.

4 out of 5 eggsStyle and class

Pros: The construction and finish quality is awesome, and I especially like the black interior finish and side window where the motherboard and CPU cooler stands out. The case fans are quiet as a mouse. In fact, my laptop makes more noise than the 5 chassis fans plus CPU cooler fan.
The standoffs for the motherboard came pre-installed in the correct location on the tray. This case has plenty of working room and room for whatever you want to put in it.
Assembly of components is a snap with all tooless design.

Cons: Price is very high for a computer case.
Be sure to switch PSU on before installing, because there is no access to the switch, and turning power off requires pulling the power cord from the outlet or rear of case. I feel the designers should have incorporated a removable front panel or small access window to PSU switch if you're going to have a front mounted PSU, but this leaves much more room in the back for expansion slots to add several VGA cards or whatnots. For these two reasons, I'm subtracting one egg.
It would be nice if Lian li had provided cable sleeving for the front panel control wire switches(power on, reset, HDD indicator, etc) and case fan wires at this price. The USB 3.0 front panel cable, USB 2.0 front panel cable, and front panel audio cable came with sleeving, so why not the rest?
Especially when you have a side window to see all that!

Other Thoughts: While this case might be a bit expensive, I like it for my present and all possible future needs when the time comes to rebuild, and provides the answer for most any application, including server boards. This case is certain to last a lifetime, unlike the plastic disposable ones. This is truly a work of art and class.
