Form meets function to create Cooler Master's Stacker RC-830. This monolithic tower supports an outstanding nine external drive bays, each capable of holding either a 5.25" or 3.5" drive. These drives will have nothing to fear, either, sitting safely behind a sculpted door. The ever important USB ports are taken seriously, too with four set up front, yet separated to keep from getting in each others way.
Internally this case is just as business like. The hard drives are well represented with four 3.5" bays. The cooling of this tower is where it truly shines however. It comes with two 120mm fans for use in the front and back, and then goes overboard with slots for an additional four 120mm fans on each side. When used in combination, there is very little that these fans can’t keep cool. The optional fan on top is an after thought that only the most die hard of users will ever need.
Then to make installation and maintenance nearly an automatic action, the design geniuses made all aspects of this case tool free. The coupled that with excellent cable management, and a removable motherboard tray and hard drive cage. Make it easy on yourself. Get a case that will support your frequent "tweaks" and changes without skinning your knuckles or cramping your hands. This case will leave your hands healthy for manipulating that keyboard!

All the space, all the air flow!
- Pros: If you're looking for a full tower case, you probably want a giant, well, this is it. When I FINALLY got it (ordered on a weekend... UPS doesn't ship things on a weekend, so don't
do that) I pulled it out of the box, and stared at it... I felt lied to... No way do the pictures do this bad boy justice! It's MASSIVE!!
When I put all my hardware in, including all the fans, I still had so much room! And this case COOLS! My 8800gtx was running at 89c in my old HP pavilion case, now runs at 65c!
It's true if you have a huge heatsink like the Tuniq Tower, you'll have to pop out a fan bracket to install it, but if you did a good job picking your fans, you won't need a heatsink like that.
This case has all the room, all the looks, and all the cooling you'll ever need! And don't forget the amazing removable motherboard tray (just be gentle with it, seriously), and when you get it, you'll understand it has wheels for a reason!
- Cons: Well, I didn't experience this myself, but I did a LOT of research before I bought this case, and it seems there is a problem with the motherboard tray actually grounding your motherboard! They say it can be fixed with some bending, so just be sure to check your motherboard tray before you set up your system and make SURE its straight.
The tray is also kinda flimsy, and I really felt like I had to treat it like a newborn child while I had it out to install the board. So maybe some folks just damage the tray while installing their motherboard. So just remember, the tray is just a thin piece of aluminum, so don't treat it like it's a thick piece of steel.
You may also need to get an extension cable for your power/reset button cables, if you have a large motherboard, with the connectors on the bottom, head to the CM support site and order up some extensions. Make sure you do that, and you're good to go!
- Other Thoughts: This case is amazing! Best I've EVER used, and I'll be using it for YEARS to come. So much space, you can do anything you want with it. The case is solid as a rock, and I even use it as a foot rest during movies.
If you want to add two (or more) fans in the front, don't buy the expensive HDD cage, just search for one of these; RC-880-FBN1-GP.
The dust filters on the fan brackets keep the dust level to a bare minimum on the inside of the case, and the brushed aluminum looks amazing! I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. Look, you're spending a ton of money on a top end PC, so why not give it some serious room to breathe, and a ton of fans to make sure it has a constant supply of fresh air? If you don't want to buy a new case every time you update your system, get this, you'll have it for YEARS!
MASSIVE
- Pros: This case is HUGE!!! There is PLENTY of room inside to work in. 4 Fans on side keep everything really cool. Looks nice. Best case I've ever had.
Cool removable mobo tray.
- Cons: Case doors are a pain to get back on. If you set the 4 fans to be intake fans rather than exhaust, it pulls the filter against the fans and it makes a loud noise so I had to rip those filters out.
- Other Thoughts: Install the wheels, lifting it is dangerous considering its bulk, dropped computers rarely work well.

Breathe Taking
- Pros: The best built case I have every seen, what is most amazing is aluminium make this case breathe taking just by looking at it.
- Aluminium, generally about 2mm thick, some parts are a bit thicker - Removable tray, come off very handy. - Fan mounting brackets (x5) come with case - Attachable wheels - Very good air flow - Can attach up to 9 120mm fans - Big room inside fits big coolers and water cool capable - MOD potential
- Cons: I have used this case for a while, mostly gaming and overclocking, the biggest problem I can think about is noise, which came from 7 Fans in the case, five of them are 2000 rpm.
- Big package, don't let them ship it to your company or school, you will have trouble carry it back home - When the package came, 16 screws used for tighten wheels 10 were missing, found all of them in side the case scattered here and there. - Mounting HDD is not easy job - Removable tray doesn't have a back whole for CPU cooler back plate. - Newegg's picture is little bit old, the actual case come with a removable tray with a cable sorting whole and water pipe wholes on the back
- Other Thoughts: I love this case for its beauty and performance, although it is a pretty old case, the design is still very superior. I'm a gamer and overclocking my pc all the time, the case offered me a cool platform.
Specs: i7 920 Megahelams rev.b X58a UD7 GTX 260 oc WD black 1TB Corsair hx850
I have 2 CM 90CFM fans on the front, two on the CPU HS, one on the backplate, top intake is the original blue LED fan plus the original backplate fan mounted on the bracket for GPU.
(room =20c)CPU cores was able to run under 60c @4.0ghz. GPU never went above 60c and under 40c when idle. HDD stay under 30c.
However, I have to say that again, it was loud, I was fine with it, and used a "Kaze Server" fan controller, which you can get from Newegg and helped the noise control. The case was made for overclockers, if you don't plan overclocking your pc but want aluminium , I suggest you get cosmos which has noise prevention build in.
Great case for SLI and big video cards
- Pros: I have a CM 830 Stacker and love it so much that I am reusing it for my upgraded gaming system. It really may be the pinnacle of air cooling. It is great to work in if you have SLI or Crossfire with big cards. I have to fit in an ATI 5970 (enormous card) and it looks like it will be no problem at all. I also discovered that you can remove the wire mesh vent at the bottom of the case and find the pre-drilled mounting holes for two more 120mm fans. For the big size, it is not as heavy as one thinks it would be due to the aluminum construction. Still, you will want to use the casters.
- Cons: The hard drive cage is a bit weirdly engineered. It works, but I like the front-removable cages found in my Antec 902. Some people may also find the size of this BIG case hard to take.
- Other Thoughts: There are little engineering touches that really impress you the more you work with the case. The slide-out motherboard tray is nice for the initial installation of the motherboard. If you like to upgrade a lot, the ease of taking the case apart might be another plus.
Beautiful quality
- Pros: Perfect blend of Class, Beauty, and Quality. Plenty of room for expansion. Big, bold, aggressive and very classy looking. Removable motherboard tray. I Love this case! One of the Best cases out there.
Top of the line PC case for those who only want the best. This thing screams look at me. If you are serious about buliding a top of the line PC and if you have the funds BUY IT, you WON'T be dissapointed.
- Cons: Some say its expensive, but you get what you pay for. This case is for people who want the top of the line, otherwise go get an NZXT brand case or some other cheaply made case.
- Other Thoughts: I have been looking for a case like this for a long time, a case that looks classy yet has aggressive syling, and great build quality is rare indeed, but this case has all of that and more. Truely a perfect blend. The brushed aluminum looks very classy. Packed with features only found on premium cases like this. When your ready to get serious about your PC, get this Cooler Master Stacker 830. I also love the power button. Dual I/O panels. Room for up to nine fans. Removable motherboard tray. Cable management. I am very pleased with my choice, finally the search is over. A lot of time has went into designing this case and it shows.
I came across a review by bit-tech and they refer to this as the perfect case and I agree 100%!
Newegg has made me a customer for life with their fast shipping and great unbeatable customer service.
