5 out of 5 eggsI love this thing!

Pros: I have had this tower for more than 4 years, I have taken it through the mountains and desert, it has had a motorcycle fall on it and there are no major marks on it, only one mar on the side but that is perfectly fine. It has alot of space and good airflow, and rugged design. I wish they made more of these and not the cosmos 2's

Cons: There are only three issues that I have with this case, first the screws for the expansion cards are easy to cross thread, as there is no room to work with there a snap bracket would have been better... Secondly due to the short Sata cable for the Esata port and incorrect installation from the factory when I first connected it, the pins came out of the mini board on the front and so it is useless now. Thirdly there are no covers to cover the back if you dont want to use the fans back there and cause a problem with dust.

Other Thoughts: When it came this one did not have the documentation for the specific one that it was, this on had an onboard fan control that had unlabeled wires on it. Being novice at the time I accidentally plugged the wrong wires into the wrong spot and shorted that fan controller out. But that was my fault so I dont blame anyone. I would have liked to seen it work though :( Thank you CoolerMaster!

4 out of 5 eggsHard disks have plenty of airflow

Pros: Well built case typical of CM and nicely styled.

Cons: Two things really ding these for me and I've used the Cosmos series for a LOT of customer builds, I'm talking over 100. The cable management problems created by the side (back) panel horizontal retention mechanism and the vertical panel rib and strut that prevents cables from passing in between the mb tray and side panel from front to back or top to bottom. Proper re-engineering could fix these by moving the side panel retention up higher over the access hole and re-doing or removing the vertical panel rib that has no pass through. Yes, the hard drive cage could stand a little better airflow and the fan mount should come mounted in that position from the factory as well as the case should come with two of those fan mounts and fans instead of just one. I've only built 2 with the Cosmos 1010 but it's identical to the Cosmos 1000 except for the ESA and side panel fan. Instead of the side panel fan it should have a hd fan and cage.

Other Thoughts: Hard drive heat. If you give it proper attention it's a non-issue. I use either Scythe SFF21F or Arctic Cooling AF12025 PWM fans in the supplied cage and mount it in the mounting point over the hd cage. In my personal rig I have all 6 bays filled and no drive ever goes above 40C/104F under heavy load and are usually around 32C/89F and any modern drive should handle that fine. It's well below max environ specs (typ 60C) for any hd I know of. I also put the same 120s (or 140s) in the top as well as the back and bottom mount so overall airflow should be considered too. Most customers of mine that use Cosmos cases have at least 3 drives and the only pattern of hd failures I've seen have been of the well known problem models and it's not case related. I'll agree the way the case comes it's probably down a bit on flow in the hd cage but it's easily corrected and only some of the cases with exc overall airflow and especially on the hd cages are better but they're also much more noisy.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Air Flow for Hard Disks

Pros: 1. Solid;
2. Silent;
3. Looks good;

Cons: 1. No air flow on hard disks, it will destroy your HDs;
2. Expensive;
3. Heavy

Other Thoughts: Too bad their is no air flow on your HDs. The case make my HDs extrememly HOT. I have to buy an HD enclosure for my 4 HDs. It's too bad I have to leave the 6 HD trays empty.

2 out of 5 eggsAshamed of Cooler Master

Pros: Definately a quality built case, silent, plenty of room to work.

Cons: Was supprised at the design of the Hard Drive rack, absolutely no airflow. Even with the fan mounted on top of the rack, there is only 3 small slits that air can pass through.

Also, the cable management in the case was well laid out, but poorly executed. The only versitile holes are the holes vertical the "Hot box" hard drive rack, all of the holes on the top and side of the motherboard tray are useless (i.e. running the 8-pin from the PSU to the top of the mobo through the back of the case), simply because the way the door latches on the case.(the 3 wires from a fan inhibited the case from closing properly when crossing the latching mechanism).

Could have been much better laid out.

Other Thoughts: By all means, do not take me the wrong way, I am a manager at a Computer store in Brighton, MI, and I build custom machines all day... I was shocked to see how poorly this case was designed. I stand behind everything that Cooler Master has to offer, and I use their cases for 90% of the machines we build. You would think that the higher end cases Cooler Master Offered would be higher quality, "Get what you pay for", so to speak.

Also, I did not buy this case, it was a customer's that had the machine assembled by another company in Southeast Michigan. The machine had multiple HD failures over the course of 1 - 2 years the customer had it. Mainly caused from HEAT.

If your looking for a silent oven for your next computer build, this would be it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Much larger than previously used P180. Great airflow and very quiet. Great tool free design. The best case I have used to date for a build.

Cons: The motherboard mounting didn't seem as secure as I would imagine and not all the holes lined up. Still secure however.

Other Thoughts: Don't get this ESA certified one unless everything you have is also, otherwise useless, I learned the hard way. Get the Cosmos 1000 instead or the Cosmos S.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case...

Pros: Silent fans, great configuration and area to work.
Beautiful design. Fantastic case for gamers with big video cards and multiple HD.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case to build my new PC and i was looking for a case that it is not only beautiful but silent and roomy. Hard to find all these conditions and I read several reviews online about how silent this case is and it is true. I love it. You can install easily up to 6 HD and 3 video cards to do 3SLI. Ventilation inside the case is very good.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: Very nice case. Relatively quiet, even when case fans are running 100%.

Beautiful in appearance and in action.

Cons: Only con I can really think of is the wiring for the case fans goes directly into the ESA board, which consumers, for the most part, do not have access to. Thus, you can't replace the case fans easily.

Other Thoughts: Cooler Master should detail how many USB heads you need on your MoBo to support all four USB ports on the case.

5 out of 5 eggsYou Get What You Pay For!

Pros: There is nothing in the Cooler Master literature or online material that is not anything but factual. Everything went together smoothly and easily. I bought this case looking to the future figuring as upgrades become necessary I would have a case that would allow anything the foreseeable (and realistic) future might offer. I am sure this case will do just that. And need I mention it's a darn good looking case!

Cons: I did find a loose screw "floating" around in this case when uppackaged which I have yet to find a place for (I assume dropped in by mistake). Also the gasket around the fan installed side kept falling out but after chat contact with Cooler Master they immediately said they would send me another gasket which I assume will correct that minor problem. I did not feel any of this warranted marking it down from five (5) eggs.

Other Thoughts: As others have mentioned this case is HUGE! (You could park a small SUV in this thing.) Don't buy it if you have a bad back. Also, to those that have "Poor Mouthed" it, send it back! With Newegg that has never been a problem and they (Newegg) will not have any problem selling it to someone else.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: •very sturdy

•plenty of room makes it easy for first time builders

•the tool and extra screws, pull ties etc. were nice to have on hand

•lots of fans to cool down those over clocked AMD processors and all the high performance high heat hardware you might have

Cons: •not sure if it's really a con but it's heavy

•my 480 watt power supply barely reached the mother board and would not reach my top cd drive so i just moved my cd drive down a slot for now i was thinking about getting a 700ish watt power supply as i upgrade my pc over the next few months anyways

Other Thoughts: you can't beat it for the size and cooling ability for the price it's going for

4 out of 5 eggsAir Cooled Tower

Pros: Plenty of room for pretty much anything you can think of. Airflow helps keeps my Q9450 and 9800GTX extremely cool on any game with high graphics settings, only peaking at 60-63 C when my room reached a temp of >100 F during the hot summer. Filters on the bottom intake make for easy cleaning without having to lift this heavy guy. 5.25" and HHD bays easy to manage. Solid Handles on top for lifting and on the bottom to help with air flow. Sound Damping material helps keeps the tower quiet most of the time (high end gaming being the exception). Comes with nice tool kit (Zip ties and screws).

Cons: Be sure to have plenty of room because this will probably be the biggest tower you'll ever use. Included temp sensors cannot reach to the appropriate places and cannot be lengthened. Horrible instructions (non existent) for ESA features. Plenty of room for cable management but the sound dampening material prevents you from routing wires from the back of the MB plate easily. Included tool set screwdriver is hard to use in tight spaces.

Other Thoughts: I still haven't figured out the ESA features and I cant remove the temp sensors that are built into the tower itself. Ended up zip tying them and tucked them away. I had no problem moving the tower when I need to but I am not a small guy. Also if your concerned about security the case has no sort of locking mechanism on the side panels.
