Super Little Case!!
- Pros: Compact size. Removable motherboard tray is a PLUS that really made cable management easier! Easy to understand users' guide. Ample room inside. GREAT cooling abilities. Sturdy construction, as everything fits solid upon completion of my build. QUIET! Easy to use USB, Audio, power/hdd/reset cable connectors. Nice slots for either 80mm or 120mm case fans. Front air mesh filter. Easy on/off front grill. Rear removeable slots are easy snap-in or pop-off if you need to add/remove expansion cards. With a $15 rebate (not on NewEgg) this case is a great buy for 15 bucks!
- Cons: Nothing really. However, the supplied hardware screw pack is short on 2 motherboard stand-offs (6 supplied, I need 8 of these). Make sure you add two more before installing your motherboard (unless yours requires just 6). However, I'm not gonna take off an egg rating for this.
- Other Thoughts: I completed this build with spare stuff I had, using an LG SATA 20X DVD DL Lightscribe drive/Sony E-IDE ATA 18X DVD DL drive/2 Seagate PATA 250GB HDD drives/4GB PC6400 memory/Ultra 500W V-Series black PSU/2 Cooler Master 120mm blue LED case fans.... AND the award winning Abit NF-M2 nView mATX motherboard (now discontinued) with an AMD Athlon AM2 Dual-Core 4800+ CPU.
I wanted to replace my (harder-to-use) Ultra Micro-Fly mATX case that just lost its appeal; very difficult to work with. This Cooler Master Elite 340 case is much easier to build with. A little tight, but feasible; easier on the hands. Cable management was easy enough-just tied cables together with unused PSU cables and tucked these between the PSU and DVD drives. This case is sleek, clean looking; compact enough to fit in anywhere. Its black/silver decor matches my setup as well! Looks great with blue LED fans! I'm thinking of buying another one of these to build for friends, or family. A very good purchase indeed!
Just Put Some Sound-Mat In it
- Pros: This Case Is Compact, Not a bunch of LED's or Fancy Du-Dads. But it still looks Good. Price is wonderfull... CHEEP !!!!!
- Cons: Metal Is A Little Thin.. But I was Building this as a silent Computer for a friend, so i Just Ordered some Sound-Matt and Completly Dissasslembled it and put Sound-Matt on every inch inside it. On both side pannles, back, top, front, bottom. Sound-Matt really takes the tingy sound away from it. DEAD SILENT !!!
- Other Thoughts: !! No fans !! I only had 1 HDD , 1 DVD burner, **fanless** PSU, Scythe mini ninji cpu cooler **fanless**, Athlon x2 1.9 ghz (45W) So its not ment to be a Gaming Rig, Just a web browsing, and Word precessor Computer. No big Video Card, Just the iGPU. I put the HDD in a 5-1/4 HDD tray above the dvd drive so i just removed the HDD cage and there was a BUNCH of extra room inside. With a little Modding this case can fill manny peoples needs, (SILENT, or GAMMING RIG).
works great with my ubuntu GNU/linux Build
- Pros: Simple design, excellent layout, not a stupid amount of drive bays therefore you can attach a front intake fan which will bring in filtered air. very clean looking in the front.
- Cons: the front of the case vibrates and rattles because of the design which makes noise. this is because the front is not on tight and there are multiple pieces that vibrate and make noise. They only give you 6 instead off 8 mother board standoffs i had extra no big deal, but if you dont have extra and just use six your motherboard may have usb ports or other devices or areas which are not grounded and will cause your system to freeze from static electricity when you plug somthing in.
- Other Thoughts: Still the best micro atx case on newegg
