Is it possible to add additional fans to this case to increase airflow?

Accepted Answer

Yes the side panel supports either two additional 120mm fans or a single 200mm fan and it appears that the bottom is capable of supporting a single 120mm fan. I am running the stock 2 x 200mm and 1x120mm in the rear with an additional 2x120mm intake on the side panel and the airflow on this case is INSANE! Ivy bridge idling at ~20C on all cores.

Question 2

Does this case come with a side view window. The video and features states that it does, however, the picture and offical specifications indicate otherwise. Which is correct?

The case I ordered did not have a glass side. I bought this case because it would quietly cool a powerful machine without an expensive water cooling system, and it has worked perfectly for that. I run the two 200 mm fans at half speed, barely hear it, and my computer has never warmed up. That's running a gtx 760 and 3770k with stock cooling under the hood.
If you're interested in a computer you can show off or look at the internals of, I'd recommend something else. If a cost effective way to manage temperature without the added noise are your priority, this is the computer for you.

Question 3

What color is the inside of the case? It states that it All Black, however, the video and pictures display it as silver or unpainted/brushed metal?

The case I received was all black inside as well as out. Hope that helps! It is a great case, but pretty big. Keep dimensions in mind.

Question 4

We can't find the USB 2.0 cord in the case to plug into the motherboard. Do we need it?

Accepted Answer

Well, this particular model of the 922 has USB 3.0 as part of its I\O header. If you want access to the USB 2.0 you could route a cable from the back of the motherboard. Or you can get a multi card reader or something that would have USB 2.0 built into it. Or you could cut a hole in the case and route a cable from the motherboard out the hole in the front. What ever you decide.

Question 5

Are the lights annoying?  Can you turn them off without turning off the fan?

There is a small button on the top of the tower right next to the power button that controls the light only. The fan will run regardless of the light switch. Hope that helps.  It is a great case for space and air flow. The lights are just a nice optional extra.

Question 6

Would I be able to fit (2) XFX R9 280X GPUs in this? The card is around 11 inches long.

I would yes it would fit, with 99% confidence. I do use these GPU cards in my case, that is why I don't know for sure. The measurement from the inside of the back wall (card slots) measures 13" to the HD cage. It seems like this would be a nice comfortable fit.

what type of connectors do the usb 3.0's have? I would rather order with the unit than wait to get it..

External is the standard usb port, 3.0 and 2.0 usb devices will connect to it.  Internally there is a cable with the 3.0 standard connector.

Any motherboard that says it has 3.0 internal connectors will work, or get an add on 3.0 card that has an internal 3.0 connector (I found an add on card that had 5 external and 1 internal).

How many fans come with it?

Three:  one 200mm fan on the top, one LED-illuminated 200mm fan in front (the LED can be switched off if desired), and a 120mm rear fan.

Do you think there would be any issues using this case as a gaming unit, but on its' side?

It is a great case lots of room decent wiring management great cooling, top fan was a little noise so I changed it with a quieter fan. I Put a ASRock Z77 Extreme motherboard in it with a geforce GTX 760 video card lots room for SLI and large cpu cooler which I installed. I liked the hard drive bays, as far laying it on it side one thing that would be not good is that as you can see it is not flat on its sides they are dished out on both sides, another thing is that if you put dvd drives in the bays you might have a little trouble keeping cds, and dvds from falling out. I love this case and I set it up for gaming. I hope I helped you out.

Will this fit the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with a Graphic card?

I don't see why it wouldn't.  Double check the dimensions on the Gigabyte MB.  I have an XFX Radeon 6870 DD which is a brick of a video card and an over sized heat sync on my CPU.  and still have about an inch and a half to spare on the inside with the cooling fan on the side panel.
