2 out of 5 eggsNice case - Jet engine PSU

Pros: - Small size
- Able to hide it behind a TV.
- Fits 2.5" & 3.5" hard disks.
- It supports microATX & Mini ITX motherboards

Cons: - Power supply is a noisy beast, it had one of the most annoying noises I've encountered and I had built dozens of systems.
- It just barely fits an Intel low profile stock cooler.
- It has the appearance of an industrial product, you might not want it near your entertainment equipment .
- Expansion slots on a microATX cannot be utilized, they are blocked by the PSU

Other Thoughts: The power supply ruined this product. HTPC cases should be silent or at least quiet enough not to interfere with a home entertainment experience.
A HTPC cases should be silent or at least quiet enough not to interfere with home entertainment experience. This case is suited for an office setting rather than at home. The power supply has a label: Noise Killer
It might not kill you but the noise was making me pull my hair out.
Cooler Master should have included an AC power brick instead.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Jojesa, we are sorry to hear you are having trouble with our case. The case in question was designed towards Intel Atom systems in mind with compatibility with M ATX motherboards that use the same amount of power as Intel Atom systems. If the system consumes more than the rated 150W the power supply provides, it can cause the fan to speed up to the max speed constantly. If the fan in question is rattling in any way or squealing in any way, please contact us so we can get the power supply replaced under warranty coverage via the Live Chat link below. Respectfully - CMUSA Customer Support.

1 out of 5 eggsDON"T buy this...

Pros: Nice compact case, includes a power supply.

Cons: Includes a power supply and it's a shrappy one at that. The bearings are going out and it's making a loud racket so I contacted support and got an RMA, no problem...a little slow and bad communication, but no problem. Until they tell me that they have no way to cross ship, even with a credit card securing return of the defective product and I am supposed to be ok with the machine being out of production for a few weeks while I wait for a replacement. This is a point of sale machine and can't be out of service for more than a few hours in the evening or morning. I now have two options, build another machine and replace the one online then send out the supply, or go buy another supply, defeating the warranty. What a hassle.

Other Thoughts: I'm getting tired of bad customer service. Silverstone all the way from here on out. And better power supplies.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Dantello, we are sorry to hear you are having trouble with our computer case. The power supply comes with a full 2 year warranty. In order to receive a replacement, you need to send in the faulty unit. If you have any questions regarding the industry standard warranty, you can contact us via the Live Chat link below. Respectfully - CMUSA Customer Support.

5 out of 5 eggsImportant notes

Pros: its a good case.

Cons: could have used a smaller psu since only 150w.
zero,,, I mean zero, room for any expansion slots with MicroAtx, Believe the same with Mini ITX but cannot confirm.

Other Thoughts: G Skill Sniper RAM makes for a perfectly snug fit without the case resting on the RAM by only 1mm. Dont get any RAM with Heatsinks taller than that.

The stock cooler heatsink for the AMD Phenom II 560 fit with no probs.

The vesa wants the case to hang up and down longways, instead of sideways like a widescreen monitor.

Too heavy for an LED monitor for sure,, unless you never moved it and kept it straight.

I like the case, though my mount on back of monitor idea isnt going to work with the 21.5" led, It is still small, and can be mounted on a wall.

5 out of 5 eggsA Great HTPC housing for your Mini ITX project

Pros: size, price, construction (materials and assembly) overall value

Cons: no card reader option included.

Other Thoughts: I first purchased a larger IN-WIN mini ITX case for my first project, but when I noticed this case on Newegg, I wanted to see if I could squeeze my project into a smaller package. Way cool! The thin SATA optical drive I installed worked a lot more reliable for opening and closing as the previous case was not working as well. I was blaming it on the optical drive and almost going to replace it, but then when I tried it in this new housing I never had another problem since. I was able to squeeze (1) 3.5" and (2) 2.5" hard drives in the front of the case, and the optical drive, as well as the cables and still have the fans keep everything cool enough and the power supply provided was more than enough. I feel this is impressive for the price and the bracket included allows you to mount it on the back of a large screen TV, but I opted for a table top and removed the special mounts. It still is nice to know that I have the option if I want to try it later on.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: Nice case, tight fit with 3.5" hd, but it works.

Cons: Power supply blocks sata ports. Power supply fan is a little loud, but not enough to loose an egg

Other Thoughts: I have this case & an MSI H61I-E35 if you use a motherboard with the sata ports on the edge of the board, you will have to use 90 degree sata cables, I would recommend a board with sata ports about .25 inches off of that edge, so that you dont have interferance with the sata cables.

2 out of 5 eggsSeems promising, then...

Pros: Great size, built-in vesa mount, low power consumption, great ventilation and that is about it. If you bang on the case hard enough the power supply stops grinding!

Cons: I have owned 5 of these cases now and 3 have experienced the noisy power supply syndrome. The case is easy to put together after you learn where everything goes but don't plan on getting the front panel off once assembled without breaking the retaining clips off. There is no access while the power supply is in place. Most micro-atx boards won't fit because of the NB heatsink getting in the way of the power supply. Check to make sure of clearance. All mini-itx boards should fit.

Other Thoughts: You would think that Cooler Master would have fixed the power supply issue since this has been going on for at least 18 months that I know of. They would have a real winner if they fixed the power supply issue!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer - We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. The case in question has warranty which you can use to get the power supplies replaced. Please contact us via the Live Chat link below so we can help you get those replaced. Respectfully - CMUSA Customer Support.

4 out of 5 eggsNewegg drops the ball

Pros: A slim case that can mount to the back of an LCD monitor.
Solid
Well made
A challenge to build with

Cons: Limited motherboard availability, due to power supply placement. The large amount of cables restrict air flow. Most stock CPU coolers are too large to fit.

Other Thoughts: I bought 3 of these so far for my friend's small business. Once you've built a few, it's a piece of cake to do it over and over now that you know which kind of board and which kind of drives to order. Looks like Newegg dropped the ball and stopped offering this case. Now our money is going elsewhere.

4 out of 5 eggsNice little Case

Pros: Nice small case that can hold a Maxt or Mini-ITX. Over all easy to assmble, resonable cooling which only come from the CPU fan and PUS fan. took about 20min to put it togther. Will be ordering more!

Cons: The power supply fan has an annoying tone to it and it's kinda of load. On a Matx MB some of the USB ports were hard to fit in under/beside the PSU. The psu at 150wts is on the low side depending what you put in it for a CPU. I have a e2100 that runs cool and quite.

Other Thoughts: Not cons just should know. By taking a quick look at the pictures of the case you can tell that there aren’t any expansion card slots. You will not be able to use any of the PCI-e slots on out MB. If you need these then look for another case. I didn't need any so it works great.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: This case is slim.
Relatively quiet.
Good quality for price.

Slim DVD ok
5.25" HD fits with ITX MB only
Will purchase many more.
This is worth the money 100%

Cons: No place for Multimedia Panel on front (like camera cards or ESATA)
Is a little noisy from inside with Genuine Intel I5
Would be nice if a 2nd front panel usb cable was includes.

Other Thoughts: For HTPC recommend using fanless MB/processor/SDD + NAS
Remove the front sticker and notice a spot for some kind of mini SD reader (looking for one) as i expect a brand name system used this spot.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat little HTPC case

Pros: Wanted the smallest case that would fit a matx board for my HTPC build.
Pure genius of the designers to fit the psu above the motherboard.
After replacing psu fan, Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H and Sempron 140 with stock fan makes this a very quiet little HTPC.

Cons: Loud psu fan.
Audio and usb cables too stiff and long.

Other Thoughts: Had to slightly modify my Gigabyte's northbridge heatsink to get it to fit.
Replaced psu fan with this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185055&Tpk=SY124020L
