5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Great case!
-Cable Management
-Weight
-Airflow
-Lots of room!

Cons: -Instruction kinda sucked but you understand them
-the roof to remove/add fans was hard to understand

Other Thoughts: This was the first case I had. Was a great case and I reccommend anything by CM. Since then I have upgraded but will use for other projects if need be!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case for Under $100

Pros: So glad I bought this case. Good cable-management allowed me to hide/tie all my cables and look like a pro. Couple that with the removable (lower) HDD cages, and you get excellent airflow. Room to add many more case fans if needed. All my components fit, including my huge Zalman CPU fan, and my build couldn't have been easier.

Cons: Lacks front-panel USB 3.0 ports--but that's my own fault for not thoroughly reading the description. Not a big deal, I can plug 3.0 devices into the back.

Other Thoughts: - AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition
- ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+
- EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi)
- 8GB G.SKILL Sniper Series DDR3 1866 SDRAM
- 850W Cooler Master Silent Pro
- ZALMAN CNPS9900 NT 120mm CPU Cooler
- Windows Home Premium (64bit)

5 out of 5 eggsThis case is a solid buy

Pros: This case is built with such attention to detail and high quality that it could be a $300 case easily.
It has everything you could ever need in a case and more!
6 HDD support, 12" GFX cards, tall CPU cooler support, liquid cooling support for 2x240 rads (top and bottom) or 1 280 rad on top), almost everything is tool less, VGA support bracket... the list is endless, but those are just features.
The real quality of this case is how it's built. first of all, the case is heavy, 20 lbs may sound light but it's not. all of that weight went into the SOLID construction of this thing, thick panels, double layering on the doors, all the edges are curled over for a smooth finish to the touch, no sharp edges. This is the nicest case I've owned.

Cons: The ONLY thng I have against this case is that there were no SATA back-planes. but HOW can that be an honest con, you could be putting IDE or SCSI drives in this (please don't).
They could have included the option for it or maybe an add on part because to take out or replace a hard drive, I have to open up both sides, the back to unplug it and the front to remove it. Oh well, it's not a huge inconvenience to me.

Other Thoughts: If you're borderline on this case, I'd say just go for it, it won't let you down. the case build and quality EASILY offset the price tenfold.

5 out of 5 eggsSlick, Clean, but the VGA Cooler is not so "Cool" without the fan.

Pros: Love how slick it looks. Very sturdy material, feels very tough and high grade for a mid tower case. I really enjoyed doing the wire management in this case. Had great room up top for my liquid cooling radiator. The DVD drive locks work especially well unlike my previous CM 590 where the locks felt very flimsy. The locks on this model are far more superior. The side window could have used another fan vent, but meh it has plenty of more room for fans. The SATA hot swap dock up top came in handy doing some data migration to the new build without placing the drive inside, I could just plug and go without having to tear it back out again or using a USB adapter.

Cons: My only complaint really, is it comes with the "VGA Cooler" yet the fan that fits inside of it is sold separately and takes a special 80mm fan that's 80x80x15 when most 80mm fans are all 80x80x25. And to make it better, newegg is sold out of the fan, and I've waited on the fan for a long time before buying the case and finally gave up. But in all seriousness Cooler Master, if you're going to include a feature and the whole purpose of that feature is to install a fan with a certain width requirement why not include the fan with the "VGA Cooler" as it's not a cooler at all without the optional sold out fan. It just sits inside the box it came in as it is useless to me without it's counterpart. And yes I know 2 other brands make this size fan, but they are brands that make noisy and cheap fans, I would rather have a Cooler Master fan for the Cooler Master "VGA Cooler". Other than the rant on the special fan, everything else rocks!

Other Thoughts: Asus P8P67 Pro, Intel i7 2600k, 16gb 1866 DDR3 Gskill RAM, 2 EVGA Superclocked GTX 460's, DVDR and Blu-Ray/DVDRW Drive, 600gb WD Velociraptor.

5 out of 5 eggsNew Green Machine!!!

Pros: I highly recommend this tower! This case has great construct, easy to use features, and looks great! It has great cable routing, tool-less bays, thumbscrews for the PCI ports, SATA dock, and more. I love the forward system buttons, audio jacks, and USB ports being on the top of the case which makes them less "shiny" to my 3 year old. The well thought out construction, bottom mount PSU, and clean wire routing keeps this case nice and cool.

Cons: The only problem I found with this is on an optional piece. The VGA bracket is capable of housing an 80mm fan. YAY video card cooling... just not with the side panels that come with this unit. That transparent green NVidia logo is pretty, but because of it there are no ventilation holes. So the bracket really only assists with fighting gravity unless you buy a different panel from CM.

Other Thoughts: I also purchased a ZALMAN CNPS9900 NT 120mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler to match this case. The unit is near silent when running and the Green LED gives the hole case a dim mysterious glow effect. If you want a bright case, grab some new fans or cathodes or LEDs. The ONLY thing that lights up on this case is the forward inlet fan that is Green when lit (there is a toggle switch by the power button if you don't want it lit up at night).

5 out of 5 eggsSolid, Breathable, & Tool-less

Pros: +Good cable management
+Well ventilated throughout the top, back, and even the bottom
+Rubber mounted standings for the PSU to rest on
+Tool-less drive bays

Cons: Nit-picking but,
The little screws on the side-panel for the nVidia logo is a little turn off nothing big though. Not like I'll be staring at it all the time anyways.

Other Thoughts: Also comes with a dust filter for the PSU fan at the bottom so that's nice.

Comes with a goodie box and inside has the VGA holder for long cards, some nice black cable ties enough for what I need, and some extra screws. (actually a lot of screws)

5 out of 5 eggsbuilt like a steakhouse, handles like a bistro

Pros: +1 for cable management
+1 for the peg adapter that fits a phillips
+1 for the matx/atx peg chart that's etched into the case
+1 for the quality of the built in fans
+1 for including a 2.5 adapter for the hdd bats

Cons: -1 for the rice burning look
-1 doesn't know what romance is, wants to jump to the end of the date
-1 i actually needed two 2.5 adapters as I did raid 0 of some ocz drives

Other Thoughts: I kinda of thought this case looked a bit ridiculous, but I took a plunge since it was bundled with one of psu from cooler master as well. I'm glad I did. The build quality spanks my antec 900. The hdd bays are great, the built in cable management is awesome, the fans are nice and quiet. My only real gripe, albeit very small, was that there is only one 2.5" bay adapter for the quick release hdd adapters. I had to buy a second one from fry's. Not many people are doing raid 0 with ssd's, so I can't really fault the company too much. I'm sure I could have ordered the part, but *competing electronic store that sounds like it would sell groceries* is just down the street.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Plenty of Room

Pros: Love this case. I never knew about the hard drive dock on the top when I bought it but when I got it it was a very pleasant surprise and it found a purpose right away. It has plenty of space for the spare cables from my PSU an all the other cables routed nicely.

Cons: I'd be nit-picking.

Other Thoughts: Could use a bit more space between the mobo tray and the side cover.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat case!!!!

Pros: -Rolled steel edges
-tool-less case
-comes with tons of thumb screws
-black interior (kind of a con too though... makes lining up screwholes a pain LOL)
-great cable management (use the slots in the MB tray and run everything underneith)
-great airflow; can mount tons of fans, and comes with 3

Cons: -sliding cover panel for the top drive dock doesn't stay in place well
-The Nvidia edition case lacks 2 side panel fan mounts where the green plexi is VS the normal CM-690 II case. Not going to deduct an egg for this as most people generally wont mount anything there anyways.

Other Thoughts: All in all the Cooler Master CM-690 II is one of the best cases on the market, especially considering the price. It offers most all the features of top of the line, all for under 100$.

This is my 5th overall CM-690 II case, 1st Nvidia edition. For 10$ less, its best to just get the normal one for 2 additional fan mounts.
