2 out of 5 eggsBad Choice

Pros: Fits under my desk, Serves it purpose

Cons: Cheap

Other Thoughts: Really cheap material. The back of the case arrived all bent out of shape. Since taking off my front plate couple weeks ago and reattaching it I feel like it hasn't been the same since. The power button is just bad. The case otherwise serves it purpose.

2 out of 5 eggsLike it but power supply died after 90 days

Pros: Simple, cheap

Cons: Power supply died after 90 days

Other Thoughts: I bought this on my friend's recommendation. He said he has 10 of these running fine for a while. But my power supply died after 90 days so I have to give it bad marks.

Admittedly, the box wasn't situated for the best ventilation, but the system was mostly idle so I don't think that had much bearing on the failure.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid basic case and power supply

Pros: I have bought and sold fifty (50) or more of these. Great case/power supply combinations for basic builds. As long as you aren't adding any significant add-on cards (like an external graphics card) or additional hard drives, the power supply is adequate, and the case itself quite functional.

Cons: Comes with a junk, rear 80mm fan. I wish they would just discount the case $0.50 and leave out the fan. I've thrown away fifty (50) of those things because they don't last but a few months from my experience.
The included power supply is not for anything beyond basic dual core CPUs and integrated graphics with a single hard drive.

Other Thoughts: Great basic case/power supply combination. You can also jump up - for about $10 more - to the combination that includes HEC's 585W instead of the 400W. Good for a basic (but only basic) add-in graphics card situation. Great luck with both sets in their proper contexts.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: -Fan is silent, at least for my office.
-All power wires were more than long enough- zero problems installing.
-Has an external SATA port. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Not that I ever needed one, but it's cool to have.

Cons: -Gloss case attracts fingerprints and dust. I really wish manufacturers would move back to matte.
-Lack of variety in power ports. Despite including the external SATA port, only one SATA power plug is provided. The rest are 4-pin. That was fine for me since I'm doing office computers with one permanent SATA drive, but I had to use a 4-pin-to-SATA power adapter temporarily to load drivers off CD. Could be an annoyance to anyone using a heavy SATA setup.

Other Thoughts: Ordered 4 cases, all setup easily and function after a month. Works for me. Only annoyance is the power supply only has one SATA power plug and an array of 4-pins.

3 out of 5 eggsCase is good, other features lacking

Pros: The finish was really nice and sleek. Parts and metal seemed stable enough. Power supply works as advertised.

Cons: My power switch was shot. Right now I'm having to boot up with a screwdriver on the pins, and since there's no reset button, I can't use the reset lead as a makeshift power button. Only one SATA power connecter -- I.E. you are going to need an adapter if you want to use a hard drive and a DVD reader at the same time. Slight humming from power supply when I turn it on? Not sure if that's good.

Other Thoughts: If my power switch was working, this is very easily four eggs.

Manufacturer Response:

It might be an UPS damage. You can get free replacements part to fix the case from factory website www.hecgroupusa.com/downloads by completing the RMA form.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Reset Button or Speaker

Pros: For the price, it's exactly what you'd expect. Average quality. I didn't have any issues and install went smoothly.

Cons: No Reset button! That's a big one for me. Having to reach around to the rear power switch for a reset is a disadvantage.
Also, the Power LED connector is the 3-pin style (with pins 1 & 3 in use and the middle pin not connected). I had to cut it in half to fit on a motherboard with only a 2-pin Power LED connector. Ugly but it worked.

Also, no speaker. Not sure if mine was just omitted, since all the cheap cases now have the tiny ones that are just soldered to the connector, but another negative.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Overall

Pros: Good construction, given the price. Power supply works, Drive mounting is basic, nothing fancy. Great for finishing up a build when all you're missing is a case and power supply.

Cons: Rear exhaust fan is very slow. It does have a variable speed, but its somewhere around 880rpm. Pci Slot mounting can be difficult.

Other Thoughts: Pentium D 920 2.8Ghz
2GB DDR2 533 Mhz
Geforce 8500 GT 512MB

2 out of 5 eggsGreat case, NOT Pwr supply

Pros: Good, light and easy to build in case. Be ready to connect wires in confined space (mico ATX)...

Cons: Power supply lasted two (2) days, Was forced to go to Best Buy and get new power supply (ugh). Lost out on bargin price.

Other Thoughts: Thought it was a good deal $40 and really cost $90. Now its reliable.

Manufacturer Response:

You can get the PSU replacement by completing the RMA form at www.hecgroupusa.com/downloads

4 out of 5 eggsDecent case and P/S for price

Pros: Price, solid construction, small yet effective size, easy to work in, components installed easily, adequate cable labeling, relatively quiet when running, clean looks, has been very reliable so far.

Cons: Only one SATA power connection (had to buy molex to 3-way SATA adapter for my build), no reset button, power button seems weak (but still working), only 1 - 80mm case fan.

Other Thoughts: Everything arrived in good working order and more than enough hardware for build. Build was quick and easy using Biostar MicroATX MoBo, plenty of working room and cable lengths for build. Good case for lite-use system, definitely not for gamers or workstation.
