1 out of 5 eggsThey sent me a blender

Pros: Cheap, micro-atx tower, looks fine.

Cons: 1) THiS is A MICRO-ATX TOWER, but its labeled as an ATX tower here on newegg, so i cant even use it.

2) case wiring is non-standard.

Other Thoughts: worthy of 4 eggs as a micro-atx because its fine but has non-standard wiring.

worthy of 0 eggs as an ATX cause, well, its not.

4 out of 5 eggsNice looking case, BUT see tech notes.

Pros: Nice looking. Small size. Hidden DVD Burner. Easy to work on inside.

Cons: Comes with a massive pin prewired for the connections from the front panel LEDs and power switch that make work to get hooked up. No color code diagram. No instructions at all. (see other thoughts for technical data)

Other Thoughts: If you are not very comfortable with computer case wiring then choose a different case. But if you are like me and wanted a stylish small case, then here is how to make it work.
First the color codes of the wiring harness from the front of the case for power switch, and LEDs
Green/White = Power switch.
Blue/White = Hard drive LED
Red/White = Power LED.
Note the white wires are the negative for the LEDs.
Power switch makes no difference because it is just a momentary short to tell the motherboard to turn on.
Note: You will need to have some sort of two pin plugs to wire these wires to, to plug into your motherboard. I found on my motherboard I just re-positioned the wires in the pre-wired plug for the LEDs, and then spliced a dual pin plug I had laying around for the power connection.
Again, if you are not good at this kind of stuff, just get a different case.

1 out of 5 eggsNon-standard switch wiring connections

Pros: Nice case that can use 120 mm fan in front of case.

Cons: This one is an exasperating first. I've built over 100 systems and I've never seen a case with non-standard wiring. You can't connect the external power switch and lights to the motherboard.

The external power switch & hard drive light cable has a 10-port plug with one whole closed off, so that's that. No adapter. Use a screwdriver to start your system. :-(

Newegg sent me return shipping labels, thankfully, so I don't have to pay to RMA the two cases I bought.

Hope this hopes someone else.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat quality for the price

Pros: The case is made very well, the plastic is nice and hard, and the metal it nice and strong, it doesn't dent easily like other cases around this price, and overall seems like its built like a truck.

the hard drive bay is easily removeable and when you mount your power supply it says in very strong as it is held in with 3 brackets (99% of cases have 2 brackets)

like i said before the plastic is nice and stong on the front, and removing the front is alot easier then alot of budget cases, instead of having to pry the front of you simply remove the side panels and the front and be removed without risking breaking anything like normal cheap cases are.

i used to purchase alot of cs206bk cases by logisys and their consistently was horrible, the cases broke alot, there would be a mess of glue on the inside occasionally, and they dented just by looking at them.

i will definitely be buying alot more of these to come.

Cons: There is only one con, but its not a big deal.

when you open your optical drive the button on the case is no longer touching the optical drives button, so the only way to close is to push it closed, and of course over time that can ruin your drive.

other then that this case is perfect. and of course there is no such thing as perfection.

1 out of 5 eggsMissing Top Panel Adapter

Pros: Small, cheap, reasonably well built.

Cons: Front Drive Cover for Optical Drive is terriable (sticks 99% of the time when the DVD burner draw opens.

Other Thoughts: No way to connect the top power switch, power light, or hd light to mainboard. It came with a 10 pin NON-STANDARD plug that does not connect to a STANDARD front panel pin-out on the mainboard. Case did NOT come with a adapter - or even a manual or instructions sheet.

Now I'm going to have to find another small case THAT ACTUALLY WORKS.

Manufacturer Response:

You can slide the plastic switch to adjust the optical drive alignment. HEC uses standard switch wiring for all cases. Please contact RMA department if you need any accessories.

3 out of 5 eggsMisinformation

Pros: Small, lightweight case. Looks sleek.

Cons: Was damaged upon delivery. The box was not damaged so the damage had to have come from the factory.

Other Thoughts: I looked up on newegg mid-atx towers and this case was on the list. Even the details listed it as capable of supporting mid-atx boards. In fact this tower supports only mini-atx boards. I checked today and have noticed that newegg has changed the details already but it still shows up on the mid-tower search list. Dated 8/2/12

Manufacturer Response:

The case can be damaged during the transit due to shaking and tossing for delivery driver. You can request free spare parts to fix the shipping damages from our RMA department.
