5 out of 5 eggsSweet case, Simple Case

Pros: Made of 1.0mm steel all over, aside from face plate, like a tank. easily removable fans, the feet help keep from knocking it off the desk, plenty of space, and last but not least, great airflow if you set it up with the rear fans as exhaust, fronts as intakes, your good, i have two 80mm dedicated hard drive fans though.

Cons: Weight, heavy, but i like that.. unless i drop it on my foot.. only holds three hard drives, and mine has the annoying floppy slot cover thing as featured in the first image, which makes it impossible to use my second floppy bay for a USB hub or controller hob without sawing the case.

Other Thoughts: Mine was marked as some antec case, cant remember the model, i bought this used from a friend who bought this case back in 02 i believe from newegg. was sold as an antec 800 server case i believe, though, im not sure. ironically, it dwarfs the newer antec 900's. i still have the antec 350w power supply that came with it, its like a rock, and in my older AMD system in another case. over all, a MUST BUY if you need a simple sweet moddable case.

4 out of 5 eggsSimple, sturdy case.

Pros: 1.> Solid, sturdy, no-frills case. Price is right 2.> Tight squeeze mounting my Zalman CPU cooler due to north bridge heat sink and non removable MB tray, but it fits, so +1 3.> Plenty of room for a large video card and Zalman VGA cooler, ram placed nicely 4.> Good Airflow, I like the hard drive cooler.

Cons: 1. MB tray is not removable, see Pro #1 2.> Many MBs have the IDE connecter towards the bottom of the board, as does my GigaByte GA-965P-DS3. Needed a 36" IDE cable for my DVDROM to run it across the case neatly 3.> Very tough sheet metal if your planning on drilling any additional fans into the side cover 4.> No front panel USB or Audio connectors.

Other Thoughts: 1.> Wore down through an entire Dremel bit cutting the side cover 120mm fans. 2.> Case is very heavy, good in a way, but this should be used for Servers or gaming rigs too valuable to tote around to Lan Parties 3.> Comes with two 80mm fans, you need to order three 80mm fans for the bottom two intake and HardDrive cooler fan mounts *** A few shortcomings, though I'm satisfied over-all.

4 out of 5 eggsA great solid case with no extraneous frills

Pros: Every case these days seems to be covered in LEDs and windows and priced accordingly, while skimping on construction. What I wanted was a solid, well built case with lots of room. This case delivers. It's thick steel construction is a welcome departure from thin, flexing cases. The removable drive caddy seats and latches firmly. It holds four 80mm fans easily with snap in holders.

Cons: No front USB or Firewire, only one HDD indicator LED

Other Thoughts: I bought this case under the Antec brand name. I am about to buy another one because I've been so pleased with the first. This case has been the OEM core for dozens of other cases on the market.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: Well built. like a tank, very very nice case. tooless design, five tooless 80mm fan clamps. tooless entry to the case. i think this thing is why the roaches would surive a nuclear war.. its truly the best built case i have ever used.

Cons: wish it had a side panel window. door can be a pain to latch at times. this was expected, but, it weighs as much as a buick. and the case seems to be a bit noisy no matter what fans you put in it. but, i have nine fans running, so that is expected.

Other Thoughts: i bought this case from a friend used, it was, as somone else said, an Antec, but, its really a chenming. and i have to figure out where i am going to get the tooless cd drive brackets. my friend lost his.

5 out of 5 eggsNice, Very well built Case

Pros: This is an excellent case for the money, it is very easy to work in, has excellent cooling and the detachable hard drive cage is a plus. The quality of construction could almost be described as industrial heavy duty due to the 1.0mm thickness of the steel. It can accomodate up to 5 80mm fans (4 case fans and 1 dedicated hard drive fan). The fold out feet at the bottom of the case are also a welcome design as they give this case unbelievable stability.

Cons: Beige color seems to going out of style nowadays, but that really doesn't take away from the case at all.

Other Thoughts: This case used to be sold by Antec under the SX800 series, but they stopped selling it. After some online research I found out that Chenming Corp. actually made it for Antec. Also as far as I know only NewEgg is selling it now (under the Chenming brand name).

5 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff

Pros: I love this case for the size. There is a lot of room to fit want you may need. I love the interal removal bays. It makes putting it together easy and replacing parts even easyer.

Cons: No front USB. That can be bad for people how like that for cams and things.

4 out of 5 eggssolid

Pros: rock solid. Wonder what the earthquake rating on this beast is. Tons of room inside. Comes with bunch of extra screws, offsets, etc. I didn't even have to dig into my screw jar for anything. I like the feet on the bottom, can turn them out to give the case even more stability.

Cons: I don't like how you have to pop the front panel off to remove the cdroms. No huge deal, but seems whenever do that the other panel inevibly pops off too and it turns into a big mess. But how often to you switch cdroms?

Other Thoughts: Wish it had fron usb panels, but description said it didn't. Fair tradeoff, and can always get a insert for one of the bays for that if need be. Remember this has room for more fans and only comes with 2, may as well order at least one 80mm one for the drives while at it. They practicly give them away anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: It may not have a removable motherboard tray or a side window, or fancy lights, etc., but what this case does have is a ton of space. It comes with 2 80MM fans in the rear and spots for 3 additional fans in the front. This case is almost identicle to my Antec case. Plenty of cooling without getting wet, if you know what I mean.

Cons: Only one. In order to remove the drives from the external bays, you have to remove the cover and the only way to do this is to open the side of your case and remove the door. The lip that holds the side door on interferes with the snaps on the front cover.

Other Thoughts: The small con in no way would stop me from buying more of these.
