Antec 900 Ultimate Gaming Cases

Antec Nine Hundred

The Most Versatile Gaming Case Ever!
Ultimate gamer case? You bet! With a partially perforated package that still finds room for four huge yet quiet fans, you have a seriously cool gaming case, and that's no joke. You can expect the Antec 900 to be ready for lift off, especially with the 200mm TriCool exhaust fan and perforated port atop this stylish case. Even mount a 120mm fan on the side panel! Contrary to some expectations, this case is extremely quiet, unless you have all the fans going at their highest settings, at which point you might hear...something.

The 5.25" bays will hold optical drives, burners, or even (gasp!) your aging floppy drive, and up to six 3.5" drives can be installed in cages behind the fans, arranged along the front any way you like. This case provides a plethora of possibilities, with room to explore new configurations of all the pieces. The PSU, in a departure, is at the bottom of the case, for better stability and thermal environment for the CPU.

The side window on the case, in addition to letting you show things off, provides additional ventilation, either by way of the vented screen or by the fourth fan in the box mounted into plastic for a clear and elegant installation. This is a sturdy case built of steel, with enough cooling technology to keep things frosty in the hottest action. Take one home today and build yourself the "coolest" rig around!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Good case when coming from Dell XPS 8500 series. Plenty of fans, plenty of space. Fans are very quiet and come with individual 3 speed controls. This reduced my heat problems coming from my old case drastically.

Cons: The opposite panels does remove, however there is limited use in this with little space behind the MOBO mount and the panel itself. There are cutout holes spaced far away. Don't look to make this a cable management location. I did not need it, not displaying the contents of my desktop as it's tucked under the workspace, however, I could see if someone wanted the look how it may discourage them.

Other Thoughts: overall for the price, great case. Some have complained about easily scratched plexiglass and DOA I/O boards. I have had NO issues with either in about a month. I wouldn't mind some sort of fan filter for the top as it is a direct drop into the case, but that is a trivial issue for me.
Just a thought, if your MOBO doesn't support the four fans that are pre-installed (great one month in, BTW) you'll need to get some inline power adapters or splitters when you order the case.

5 out of 5 eggsCouldn't Be Happier

Pros: -Great Looking Case
-Easy Setup for Transferring/Building System
-Lots of Space for cables and components.
-Ridiculously Good Airflow
-Tray at top is great for keeping track of multiple usb's for plug and play

Cons: -There are really no directions included with the case and the one on the website is not very straightforward/lacking information. Makes it a bit harder for a first time builder. (i.e. directions say use a screw, but don't tell you which one or which hole to use)
-Cable management was a bit challenging, however this was my first build so I may not have used the best method.
-I like the USB 3.0's on the front; however after going from a case with multiple ports, I found myself missing the extra ports.

Other Thoughts: After researching multiple cases I decided on this one and I have to say I am happy I did.

I transferred the components of my stock computer to this case as a base for upgrading my system. This is the first system I have personally build so the cons stated above may not apply to someone with more experience.

Overall, the setup was fairly straightforward and the case looks great. If given the chance to go back, I would still choose this one. Great purchase at a great price, I definitely would recommend.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case. Great Price.

Pros: Fit a full ATX case, gtx 970, and with the fans all set to high/med.. I can't barely hear them.

Cons: Not particularly a huge fan of the removable trays that the HDD's are supposed to be mounted in, but they work.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend it. Just keep in mind you may have to remove a tray in the middle for a long gpu.

4 out of 5 eggsNot a bad case

Pros: Loads of fans which allows massive amounts of air flow. With all these fans going, I still cannot hear them when running.

Cons: The power button is rather cheap. With all these fans built in the case, they should send two in one pigtail adapters. My board only has three fan plugins.

Other Thoughts: If you purchase this case, I would suggest buying the two in one pigtails. It just makes build easier.

4 out of 5 eggsFANTASTIC airflow

Pros: great airflow. made my build more extremely more quiet than when it was in my old cooler master haf 912. very easy bay removal and case fan installation

Cons: little to no room for cable management, but if you fiddle around with zip ties you should be able to figure something out.
not really a con, just a feature I like, but the easy hard drive installation rails don't work, you gotta screw your hdd or ssd into the mounts. Also, the bays can't come out like in other models (like the haf 912) to increase airflow

5 out of 5 eggsAn Oldie but a Goodie

Pros: The wire management for the fan assemblies has improved over the years. I had an antec nine hundred for over a decade, and with so many rebuilds I eventually sheered one of the fan wires, and from then on it was under constant repair. I also thought one of the fan bearings was going out, (though it turned out to just be a loose grill plate, upon cleaning it later after the fact). It got really dusty, and I got really lazy besides, so I decided it was time to upgrade. However, regardless of the newer more advanced cases for the money I still landed with this model out of familiarity and proven reliability, (but still with the $60 after $20 MIR bottom line). The USB 3.0 ports are sweet, as are the more updated power connectors. I love this case. I still kept the other one for another build.

Cons: It could use a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter... its time. It does have a mount on the bottom of the case (SSD to the bottom of the case) between the power supply and front bottom fan, but that puts it far from a single power chain on a modular power supply...sort of a phoned in effort there.

Other Thoughts: Random: the Cool Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU heatsink and fan fit, but not well enough to allow the use of a side case fan. Whatever though, the case is a freaking wind tunnel as it is.

3 out of 5 eggsPoor cable management

Pros: Looks pretty slick. Plenty of fans, all of which are adjustable, and there's space for more. Decently modular.

Cons: Not a lot of free space if you're using a full-size board, and no dedicated cabling space, which means cable management can be pretty awful (was for me) which also means you'll lose the benefit of all those nice fans.

Would be slightly better with a fully-modular power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, What PSU are you using?

Pros: This is my second or third Antec 900 and I really like the case. Newegg delivered fast, as always.

What PSU is everyone using and are they happy with it in this case, fit, cables, clean install?

Cons: none really

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plenty of room, a lot of fans, very pretty blue LEDs for the two front, and the one rear fan. awesome large top fan, runs slow, moves a lot of air! plenty of drive room, and relatively easy drive removal. I expect that this case will survive into many future builds.

Cons: absolutely nothing to complain about, you get exactly what you expect with the money you put down! :)

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone looking to future-proof his/her computer build!

5 out of 5 eggsI love this case

Pros: this is the best case for a basic build, i have 2 new ones and another i built with 4 years ago, if you only have 2-3 drives and only 1 or 2 video cards there is plenty of cable room. and this thing has lots of fans and fan expansion, the 2 new builds i did are so QUIET i hardly know they are running...and i love the blue lights!

Cons: i only wish it were a bit wider behind the motherboard tray to hide excess cabling, if i had a large raid going id go with a full tower of some sort
