5 out of 5 eggsMy absolute favorite cases

Pros: -Plenty of room inside to work without making the case too large.
-Solid construction
-Included PSU is phenomenal. Haven't had one fail yet, and I've been using these case for 2+ years. *knocks on wood*
-Very professional looking, well suited for an office build
-Included fan is nice and has multiple speeds. Other vents are well placed and keep the case cool without any additional fans (beyond the CPU fan)
-Recent revision now includes USB3.0!

Cons: -Cable routing options could be better, but it's not awful, just awkward. It comes with zipties and the PSU has a heavy-duty tie on it, so you can tie up the cables and organize them how you'd like without the need for anything additional.

Other Thoughts: This is for a very specifici kind of build. It's NOT for a gamer or any sort of advanced user. It's PERFECT for a basic build. I use it for ALL of my customers. It looks great in an office and great in a home. It's solid. The PSU is (surprisingly) very good, and makes the ~$100 that these sell for a GREAT value.

I've built lots of computers and worked with many different cases. Antecs are hands down the best, and the NSK3480 is my absolute favorite for a basic build.

It's also worth noting again that the newer revisions include USB3.0 ports, which some people commented it didn't have.

The complaints about cooling or the location of the HD mount are completely baseless. I've built 12+ of these and some of them have been in use for 2+ years, some running 24x7, others 8x5. I have not had an issue with any. None. The PSUs keep chugging away, the fan still runs well, and none have overheated. None have had HDs fail. This case rocks.

Buy it right now. Unless this is anything above a basic build, in which case you want a nine hundred :)

2 out of 5 eggsEngineering Blunder

Pros: Solid Materials

Cons: This is an engineering blunder. What a waste of good materials. Design does not accomodate cabling nor will it provide good cooling for internal drives.

Other Thoughts: Perfect example of high quality materials being wasted on extremely poor engineering. Definately might want to talk to some German Engineering Companies. I would not buy this case again.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi daboomer,

I apologize that this case didn't meet your expectations. We understand that not all of our cases work out for everyone but in the future, you may contact us and we can help you select one that best suits your needs. Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsI keep coming back to it

Pros: I can't tell you how many times I've tried to find a smaller case that I like better. Every time I end up moving all my stuff back into this case. I like small and quiet computers. This one always has the best combination of size and features.

It is built like a tank. Gives you plenty of room inside. Is set up nicely for a Seasonic fanless power supply (I've just ordered one them) with the venting out the top. Plenty of room for big quiet fans.

Cons: No USB 3.0.

It would be nice to have anti-vibration mounts for both of the 5.25 drives.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressed with the Durability of this case

Pros: Compact, Attractive, Good Ventilation, Quiet, Well-built & Durable Power Supply, Accepts Full-height PCI Cards.
IMO, this is the PERFECT mATX Case. Well Done Antec.

Cons: 5.25" Bays are Crowded in the back, especially for Longer Blu-Ray Drives, 120mm fan has started to whine after a few years, but seems to quiet down after 10 minutes or so.

Other Thoughts: I have been using this case & Power Supply for about 4 years now. It is an HTPC Build and pretty much stays powered on 24/7 365 days a year. To be honest I am still amazed the power supply is holding strong after 4 years on continual use, but, hey, that's we we like Antec, isn't it? I have a somewhat large CPU cooler installed, as there is plenty of headroom inside this case. Just be aware that your larger (Longer) gaming cards may not fit, due to the Sortness of this case.

2 out of 5 eggsAwkward Drive Placement, 2.5" drives don't fit at all

Pros: It is a relatively small case, though I think it could easily be another 1-1.5" narrower if they tried.
Standard PSU size.

Cons: The drive placement is completely awkward. The bottom tray can't be easily unscrewed because one screw is directly below the CPU heatsink so unless you use a really short screwdriver it can't be easily done.

Up top, there is another bottom-mount 3.5" tray with the same strange design. Putting a normal 3.5" drive in that tray makes cable management a pain because it is very far rearward.

The power cable slot is EXTREMELY close to the PSU making the cable routing overly tight.

Other Thoughts: This case has a "designed by committee" feel to it. It isn't all that small, but is cramped. It has some interesting design features that are poorly executed. For the money, there are better cases out there.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Compact
- Good Power Supply
- Quiet Fans on case and PSU
- Silicone HD mounts keep things quiet
- Decent Layout

Cons: - Routing wires from the power supply and keeping them organized is a challenge
- Hard Drive mounting locations could be better

Other Thoughts: I like this case a lot, it looks good, is quiet, and comes with a nice power supply. Mounting the hard drive and routing the cables, however, could be easier.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointment

Pros: It's beautiful, sleek and professional looking and the 380 watt PSU should be ample. It doesn't have cable length problems or sharp edges as reported in other opinions.

Cons: It's a disaster. The fan is a female plug and none of the two wiring harnesses can be attached. There is NO speaker wire for connection from the front panel connector to the motherboard. There are only two SATA connectors - one on each line that has the two mysterious female plugs. This must be an oversight! ANTEC should be ashamed. Now I need to find a new fan that will connect to the motherboard. There are no instructions on how to open the compartment - one starts with the top and then removes the sides.

2 out of 5 eggsquiet, but awkward to work in

Pros: Case is quiet, as advertised. Rubber mounts avoid hard drive noise, and the large rear fan is nearly silent.

Cons: It's a disaster to work inside this case:

- the edges are razor sharp. It's shop 101 to break the edge of machined/stamped parts, but Antec skipped that step. I cut myself twice removing the 5.25 drive cover.

- the power cables are just barely long enough if you want to use the lower 3.5 inch mounting spot (the one on the bottom of the case).

- speaking of which, that 3.5 mounting spot obscures the lowest PCI slot. You might think of moving a drive to the extrernal 3.5 inch spot to get your PCI slot back, but that's really only suitable for floppies: no way to mount an HDD there.

Also: at least with my motherboard (an ASUS P8B-M) the baffle over the side vent doesn't line up with the CPU. Perhaps this is by design, but I don't see how it helps as placed.

5 out of 5 eggs4.75 eggs

Pros: Very sturdy, high quality construction. Easy to work with. Very decent and quiet power supply included. Still can fit large CPU coolers and it looks like even the largest video cards will fit which is pretty amazing. Very good air-flow. Power button has a nice look and feel to it.

Cons: Power supply should be modular in a case like this where the fewer cables you have hanging around, the better.

No thought given to 2.5" hard drives - i.e. solid state drives. Drive mounting holes are for 3.5" drives.

No USB-3 port. No e-SATA.

Vented side panel - they are ugly and they are worthless in cases with good air-flow.

Other Thoughts: Bought two for the office and I will not hesitate to buy again if I need to. I hope Antec stick with this model and keeps refining it detail-by-detail.

FYI, the side panels are interchangeable, so if you are shooting for silence and you don't care for the side-vent you can move the vented panel to the other side and it does perceptibly decrease the amount of noise that escapes the case.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case, but needs improvement

Pros: Nice size and finish. Antec always has a solid case.

Cons: Power cables are too short. I couldn't reach the bottom hard drive mount with the cable also connecting the hard drive in the top. Had to use velcro to attach the SSD under the 3.5" drive bay.

Other Thoughts: Cramped case makes it difficult to install memory on the motherboard while mounted in the case. Install as much as possible onthe motherboard before you mount it in the case.
