3 out of 5 eggsLong term review

Comments: I have had this case for 2 1/2 years now.
The Bad:
I had to replace the power supply (after the warranty expired) due to a failure.
The USB ports in the front do not work with my USB keys (xxx). I tracked the problem to the cable supplied with the case. Very annoying. The ports do work with slower devices like my microsoft force feedback joystick and my simpletech compactflash card adapter.
The "black" paint is really a very dark gray with a flat finish. It doesn't match black DVD and CD drives well.
The price is a bit high for what you get.

The Good:
Large case with adequate cooling. Lots of room for HD's.
Easy to modify - I modded mine with a window and a set of lights. I also painted it dark red since I didn't like the dark gray.
Easy to remove/install HD cages. This makes HD installation a snap.
Removable side door makes it very easy to get inside.
Documentation is adequate.

The bottom line:
If I had it to do over again, I would go with a similar sized case with a top end power supply. At this price, I don't recommend this case. Whatever you buy, I highly recommend you buy from newegg. I have had only good experiences dealing with them.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: Excellent case. Sturdy construction, I like to joke about it being my 'tank'. It also weighs about as much as a tank.

The stock fans are a bit loud, I replaced mine with quieter ones. Airflow is excellent, my 2.8C idles at 28C (interesting coincedence). The front intake has a filter on it, which is nice as I have added a fan there and do not need dust coming in. Case stays amazingly clean inside, and I have a cat that sheds like crazy.

Drive rails are a nice feature, as are the removable drive cages. Everything locks in solidly and doesn't feel like it is going to fall out.

Side door panel opens very easily with the handle. The case came with thumbscrews in the back, but I just removed them and use the snap-in ability. If you don't want it to be openable, you can lock it.

Front USB/1394 work nicely and the door that covers them looks very natural.

Power supply pumps out plenty of power for all but the most intensive gaming rigs.

My specs:
Asus P4S800D-E Deluxe
Pentium 4 2.8C (800MHz FSB)
1GB(2x512) Mushkin DDR400 Dual Channel
nVidia GeForce 6800GT 256MB
Two optical drives, and two hard drives.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case

Comments: I've had this case for almost 2 years now. It has held up way better than I expected. I can't count the number of times I've used it as a chair/table. I currently have 3 optical, 1 floppy, and 2 hard drives in it and there I still have easy access to each drive. I would recomend it to anyone. Unless you're going to be moving it around a lot due to the weight when loaded with hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this tower

Comments: I'm really pleased with this tower. If you're really concerned about cooling, buy two more 80mm fans so you can mount them up front. I took one of the rear fans and put it in the HD cage to cool my mirrored drives. It's really easy to work on this case, and it's solid. You could stand on it, and it would be fine. Not for those with bad backs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Comments: This case is big, but it is of great quality. I've puchased several of these cases, for both home and work. The PSU that comes with the case is of good quality as well. The only hiccup I encountered was that I could not fit a Vantec Stealth case fan in the fan cage located in the HDD cage. The Antec case fans that come w/ the case fit in the fan cage, I also found that a Panasonic Panaflo fit. So if you plan on changing the case fan for quieter operation, I'd reccommend Panaflos.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Case

Comments: Crewsr3

Solid Case, I have 4 hard drives two optical drives, zip, floppy, and a 10 in 1 card reader in a 3.5 slot. It is a bit heavy but it holds everything with no problems with room to grown. The reason I gave it four stars is the noise. I have been trying to bring the noise level down. I replaced the case fans with quite fans and the cpu fan is also a quite fan but the noise level is still up there. Other than that it is a great case if you like to build and keep on building. PS has tons of power and has had not problems. Looks as good as it did they day I got it a year later.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: After a couple flimsy, trendy, light up aluminum cases with cheap power supplies that made my computer unstable, I decided to go with this. Now I'll never buy another brand. This case has amazingly sturdy construction. I can stand on this case without a problem, and there is absolutely no twist. The drive rails, detatchable 3.5 cages, and snap-in fan shrouds are major plusses. It's also very subdued, I like my computer to disappear when I don't want to look at it.

There iare a couple possible downsides, though. One is the weight. This case weighs a TON. Unassembled it weighs around 40 pounds. With all the stuff in it, it rivals my 21" viewsonic CRT in bulk. Not a problem if you don't want it to move, though.

The other possible downside is the noise generated by the twin fans in the back. They're not loud individually, but the sound created by them spinning at slightly different speeds can be irritating. This isn't a case to sit on your desk.

I'm running a Barton 2500+ and geforce 5900xt in it, and my CPU's temp never goes about 40c. Ever. Max settings in UT2004 will bring it to around 37 after an hour. Stock cooling on retail parts. This case is a fridge.

All in all, this case would be worth the cost without the power supply and fans. Those are just bonuses because Antec rules.

4 out of 5 eggs

Comments: This case is large, but I love the inside room and easy hard drive / DVD-RW slide rails. It has two fans that keep the inside case at 25 C... they work great, but they are loud. It is always a trade-off between cooling and noise. I wish the case fans were a little quieter... I will probably change them out. The noise was why it is a 4 rather than 5.

5 out of 5 eggsThis will be the one that i'll keep!

Comments: If you are looking for a tough, slick, feature rich case then this is the one.One note though, the PS will not be enough if you are building a gaming system around the Athlon 64 3500+.The new Nforce boards, along w/a high-end GPU(X800+) will requirea bit more on the 12V rail(26A).That aside,I love this case!!
