With modern processors producing extreme speeds, they're also producing heat that surpasses what can be cooled by heatsinks and fans. For these high end computers, liquid cooling systems are the answer. Thermaltake's Kandalf LCS VD4000BWS case has a ready-to-go cooling system already installed. The all-copper water block with blue LED light is ATX and BTX compatible to support all AMD K8 series processors as well as Intel Pentium 4 LGA775 and BTX platforms. Both ATi Crossfire and nVIDIA SLI graphic cards are supported.
A 500L/hour pump handles any additional water blocks needed to cool the GPU, Memory, Northbridge or HDD and it pumps coolant through 3/8" UV industrial-grade tubing. A transparent, easy-to-fill 350cc reservoir lets you keep tabs on coolant levels. Pre-drilled tube fittings allow for future upgrades and bushings protect the tubes from damage by the metal case. The 360mm radiator is cooled by a trio of 120mm, low-noise fans and is mounted behind the front bezel for increased cooling and airflow. Another 120mm blue LED fan exhausts air from the rear while a 90mm draws air out through the top of the case.
All of this cooling serves nine 5.25" drive bays along with an externally accessible 3.5" drive bay. Six more drives are mounted internally and seven expansion slots are ready for multiple graphic card systems. The drives and PCI cards all mount without requiring tools and removable cages make mounting drives a breeze. Space is reserved to route cables away from the path of the airflow which also serves to reduce case clutter. All of this is wrapped in an aggressively designed aluminum case with a very large side window to show off your hardware. The side panel can be locked so admirers can see, but not touch your computing masterpiece. With the Kandalf, "cool" isn't just reserved for the internal temperature.
