OverviewCustomer ReviewSpecificationsProduct Tour
Thermaltake's Armor+MX VH8000BWS case combines high-end features with a mid-range price to deliver the ability to grow your system over time. This mid tower case supports ATX and Micro ATX motherboards and lets you install seven PCI expansion cards without tools. Up to five externally accessible 5.25" drives and a 3.5" also install without tools in the modularized removable drive cage. One external bay can be configured to accept a 3.5" drive and another four 3.5" drives can be mounted in the internal, removable cage. An adjustable PSU support bridge lets you mount a big enough power supply to take advantage of your components' capabilities.

The case is configured to provide separate cooling zones for drives, CPU and graphic cards. The drives are cooled by a 17dBA 120mm blue LED fan in the front. A massive 230mm blue LED 15dBA fan draws in air from the side to cool the VGA cards and a rear-mounted 120mm, 17dBA fan exhausts the hot air. If additional cooling is needed, the case is configured to take a liquid cooling system. Two USB 2.0 and an eSATA ports are conveniently located along with HD audio jacks at the upper front of the durable SECC steel case.

The Rock of Gibralter has nothin on this,,,

Pros: Yea, this is not built like a tank, but pretty close. You could probably hit this with a baseball bat and not break anything - but I'm not recommending you try. ;-) Plenty of space, and I like the side fan. this is almost like a full tower case, and really this is probably the best value for under 150. Except maybe for the Ant&c 900... It is heavy, well-ventilated, looks sweet, and if you need a sweet case you need to buy this.
Cons: The HD trays are a little annoying. You have to strain to get the cables in the back and get the tray to lock shut. It is difficult to explain, but there is just barely sufficient clearance in the back of the HD tray to allow for the cables. Not a huge deal. Also, the lights are slightly brighter than the landing lights on a 747. Not really, but you need to plan on turning this off at night if its in your room...
Other Thoughts: In the back of the Guinness book of World Records, there is a disclaimer that reads, "All world records are held by Chuck Norris - the people in this book are just the ones that have come closest to breaking his."

And about the case, I personally recommend it to anyone. looks good, very quiet,

Pros: I bought this case without realizing that it's only a midtower...oops! No matter, everything fit (I didn't have to break out the shoe horn, but it was close). I fit a PNY VCG98GX2XPB-OC GeForce 9800 GX2 card, ASUS PE5W64 Evolution mobo(these go in tight, but 2 more would have went!), G-skill DDR3 1600 4 gig, kingwin 1000W power supply, thermaltake 760i bigwater and 2 dvd drives! Phew... it all fit and everything works perfectly! This tower is heavy duty and well worth the money. Looks great, cools well and no issues.
Cons: None. Excellent design and structure. Well laid out.
Other Thoughts: The case actually allows for cable routing with the metal side compartment removed. This eliminates a lot of mess and helps keep everything looking nice after completion. The hard drive actually mounts at the bottom section, perpindicular to the top bays to aid in cable runs.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: I have never written a review on newegg, but I was so impressed with this product that I felt like I was bound to spread the word about this case's excellence. First of all, this case has a ton of room. It fit the skateboard-sized Radeon 5850 with ease and there is a lot of room on top of the cpu for a 3rd party cpu cooler. The huge case fan on the side really moves a lot of air, but it creates a ton of noise and im going to need to plug it into the motherboard so i can regulate its speed. Overall , the fans work great and my computer stays surprisingly cool even its doing demanding work. The LEDs on the fans look great. The removable hard drive slots are really handy, and the fact that you can remove the hard drive cage makes installation a breeze. The storage compartment on the top is big enough to fit CDs in, and i use it to store all of my CDs with drivers on them.
Cons: The motherboard screws were a little bit confusing to figure out (it may just be me...)

One of the rubber pieces on the bottom of the case that it stands on fell off when I moved the computer

It is a little bit hard to keep the wires out of the way of the huge fan on the side, but can be remedied by a myriad of zip ties

good case/good price

Pros: Looks sexy with my PS3 next to it, I love the clear side panel so I can inspect dust on my mobo on a weekly basis. The case stays cool so I would imagine you wouldn't need additional fans/cooling system unless you're running multiple graphics cards. I also like the eSata, usb and sound ports located on the top front of the case.
Cons: the cage for the hd's is nice, but the cables tend to crammed in there, sometimes causing my mobo not to read my hd's.
Other Thoughts: I've had this for over a year and I still love it.

Pros: Here are some good things:
+ Hard drive caddies hold drives (If used with screws)
+ Huge interior (For a micro ATX).
+ Looks really nice from the front.
+ Ports conveniently located.
+ Dust filters for the unused 5.25 inch bays.
+ Tool-less installation of DVD drives.
+ e-SATA
+ Power supply removable rail.
+ Included dust wipe for the exterior.
+ 230mm LED Side fan.
+ Storage compartment on the top for screws etc...
+ Room between the power supply and the board.
+ 3 Fans to blow the air.
+ Sturdy (Although the plastic is cheap)
+ Good airflow and it runs cool.
Cons: - The 230mm fan does not allow big CPU coolers (CM V8)
- LOUD FANS!!
- The two front panels don't hold well.
- Some cheap plastic at places (Extent. slot clips, Top of the case)
- The top of the case is made of the weakest plastic.
- LOUD FANS!!
- Little room for water cooling radiator (If installed on top of the PSU)
- Need to remove the hard drive caddies to install a large card (9800 GTX+)
- I wish there was more hard drive caddies than disk drive bays.
- The side LED's are really BRIGHT.
- No fan control.
- Not very good routing system for the cables.
Other Thoughts: I really love the looks of the case but the cable management inside the case could be a bit better. I really wanted to see a fan control for this price because the fans blow a lot of air but are not as silent as some people say. I would also love to see the interior painted black. I wouldn't mind paying extra for that. I would recommend the case to anyone, but a better looking one would be a Cooler Master Sniper (Black interior) because they both cost the same and the other case has some features that this one is missing.
