5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Built in rails for standard PC style radiators
Open style mesh case has lots of airflow
Looks good
Top controls are a plus
Tons of hard drive cages
Nice edges for a steel case. Most have protection or are radius not sharp

Cons: Top fan sucks. 360mm cheap Chinese quality. Very out of balance & noisy. I disconnected it. (Not really needed for water coolers as your radiator fans will dischage top without it, and likely move more air).

Other Thoughts: Great large case for overclockers

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: great airflow helps keep my inner part cool and fit the big Noctua D14 fan with no problems. has fan controller

Cons: only con would be the blinking power light when machine goes into sleep mode, they should have caught this. Blinking lights are generally annoying and should not be used, the blinking light is very annoying, but you can just put a book on top of it to cover it up, no worries., should fix this in next version though.

Other Thoughts: Case was easy to set up and will last a long time. will fit pretty much any configuration.

In the future versions I would like to see a couple fans mounted to the back side of the storage drive bays for even better airflow. the fans air quite, but aren't all the powerful, they seem to get the job done though. An friend of mine who is an expert at this stuff noted that my computer build with this case was unusually cool compared to what he was used to.

5 out of 5 eggsThermaltake Core V71 Extreme Full Tower

Pros: With it being my first build, coming with absolutely no experience or real in depth knowledge, this case is huge. Tons of room for multiple video cards. Around 9 trays for hard drives or SSD's, which are easy to use and set up well. All the fans work great and look nice. Im still trying to get over how big it is. Its solid beauty of a case.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Could have had a handle or 2 somewhere to make moving around easy but no worries.

4 out of 5 eggsHUGE!

Pros: Very large. There are a million things you can change on this case to make it suit your needs. I removed the Drive cages and will mount the HDD on the side, this has left my case completely open for anything.

Cons: Quality control. See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I ordered 2 of these cases. I am currently working on 2 builds. The cases are amazing, I couldn't imagine needing anything bigger than this. Especially if you can take all your drive cages out, and mount on the side. Quality control... I took an egg off for this issue alone. The cases in themselves are perfect. But while installing my motherboard and DVD drive, I noticed something long and black sticking through the metal on the inside front panel, and going through one of the fans on the front. When I finally got my hands on it and pulled it out, it was one of the large fan mounting screws. I'm going to guess that while the fans were being installed, whoever did it, dropped a screw and figured it was lost. Well the Chassis of the case caught it. And I'm glad I found it. If I would have powered it up with the screw going straight through the middle of the fan, I would have a very chewed up and damaged fan. So at least in my case, there should be a bit more inspection before sending these off to customers. If you drop a screw, make 100% sure that its not lodged somewhere inside the case where it can mess things up. Ironically, the fan that had the screw stuck through it, is the fan they decided to stick the "QC Pass" sticker on. 5 Eggs for the case, 4 eggs for Thermaltakes QC department. It would be wise for everyone to fully inspect their cases, which you should do anyways. But just keep a close eye on those fans!

5 out of 5 eggsHuge, great room for HDDs, SSDs and RADS

Pros: Huge case. I built this for a HPC to connect to 55" LCD TV in my family room. Mostly for Hubby (He does not game but he wants to sit on couch instead of use laptop on kitchen counter) I like the 200mm fans that is the way to go. The reviewer below says you can't put a 200 TT fan on the top on the built in controller with the other 3 fans without fan issues. I say not true for me. I have 4 TT 200mm fans on that controller all fans work at full speed with LEDs all functioning. I have a H100 on the top under the 200mm fans and Coolermaster sickleflow 120mm fans in pull on the H100. Works great. The 2 200mm intake fans in front of HDD cages (of which there is a lot of) are also on the built in controller. I was leary of it at first but it works great. Lots of space for a case. I usually use open test bench racks so this is my first case in years. I like it. I hear people complaining about the top and front panels being plastic, yes they are but they come off easy without any forcing. press both sides of the panel and they pop off. No worries.

Cons: Wish there was a side fan in the window to cool video cards. But not an issues for those who water Video. I do not since my vid cards stay cool enough with air.

Other Thoughts: Plenty of space to tuck cables out of sight. Lots of room for air flow, Nice 200mm fans (wish the top 4th fan came with, I had to buy another one). Lots of fan options, easy MB install in this case. All in all I like it. It looks cool with all the fans on. I have coolermaster sickle flows in Blue LED on RAD and at the bottom near PSU so lots of blue lights. Nice and quiet too. Happy with it.

3 out of 5 eggsCould have been great

Pros: -Supports 120/140/200mm fans
-Lots of space (remove the hdd cages)
-pull out front and top panels
-dust filters
-easy removable hdd cages (and lots of them!)
-Bottom 5.25 removes very easily.
-Supports lots of radiator options: 360/400/420 for the top or front.
-Lovely design and looks. Not exaggerated and overdone like other cases.

Cons: -***The 200mm fans included are not the same as the retail TT 200mm fan (CL-F016-PL20BU-A 200mm)!!!!*** These fans are wired differently. I compared a retail TT 200mm and discovered this.
-The built in controller is rubbish. It does not support more then three of the stock 200mm fans. Adding additional fans will cause the stock fans to spin slowly, make noises, and the led's will turn off or flash. Since the stock fans are wired differently, it may mess with your fans/leds. I ended up getting an NZXT Mix2 controller (proven reliable in the past).
-The top fan mounting is a mess (honestly a joke tbh) and the front mounts were half thought out. i switched to all 140mm fans and discovered the top had only two places to mount/screw each 140mm fan. I ended up fixing this with a drill. I shouldn't be drilling out "missing" fan holes/slots. The front is also designed for 140mm but I discovered that the top fan doesn't have any mounting points for the top two holes at all. This is due to the fan protruding into the bottom 5.25. A bracket would have been nice. This won't be an issue if you mount a radiator as 10 of 12 screws will be more then enough for even an Alphacool Monsta 420mm radiator.
-Case becomes very flimsy once you remove the hdd cages. Best solution is keep the brace that goes on the side (window panel side). Easy to remove and install so I'll let this one slide TT.

Other Thoughts: This is my first TT case. I've owned quite a few cases in my past, from budget to expensive CaseLabs. At the retail of $149 USD, its hard to justify it with the few shortcomings. I believe most of these could have been addressed and I would have gladly paid msrp. Rebates help ease the pain as does the notion of awesome water cooling if you're experienced in this. I can't forgive the shortcomings as I had high expectations so I'm knocking off two eggs (mainly for the fan differences and the fan mounting holes/slots). If you can find this for ~$100 USD, its not a bad case if you plan to go water. This is more in line with the "Super Tower" triplets (Xigmatek Elysium, Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra, & Enermax Fulmo GT), but its a bit smaller and done a bit better imho.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case!

Pros: Huge case with lots of space a organization options. Couldn't have been happier with it. I see a lot of people saying that it is made out of cheap plastic and I'd have to disagree. I've had much worse for the same money in my day. Yes the case and top cover have to pop off and the rivets are made of plastic, but it's not like it's risking breaking them to get it off if you pull it off the way they intended you too. Sturdy case, enough hard drive customization with the bays to make your head spin. Installing the 240mm H100i was easy with no clearance issues what so ever for my ram. The front and bottom mounts for the liquid cooling radiators is a bit of a distance for the one I got, but it mounted up top no problem. Fans are quiet even on high. Cable organization is a breeze also. Get it, you wont regret it!

Cons: Not a single thing I can think of.

Other Thoughts: i7-4790k

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case!

Pros: I recently decided to get rid of my consoles and move into the PC gaming world. After a lot of research on cases I went with the V71. First off the case is very large, but that is a great thing for me! I had a mid tower case and not all of my components would fit. I had them laying all out side the case. So it was time for a new one. This case had room and then some for all my parts.

Not only that but the fans that come on this case are large and quiet. There are settings to adjust the fan speed, which I leave on low when using normal operations like web browsing. Then the high setting is great for gaming. The fans move a lot of air and are not that audible.

I have only had the case for about a month, but I love it so far!

Cons: Only con I had was the instruction manual. Instructions were not that clear, but easy solution was to go on Thermaltake's website for more detailed instructions.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great case for those that need a lot of room!

4 out of 5 eggsHulk of a case

Pros: Very cool case, lots of room for any upgrades, you will not have any problems putting in any graphic cards, fans etc. Fairly modular and the drive bays are screw-less and easy to pop in and out. Overall if you have room for this beast under your desk or on the side, then get it. Even with my caveats listed below, you should be able to get a RAID 5 going very easily

Cons: Out of the 8 pop out drive bays, 3 sit on a solid metal sheet which is part of a removable drive section which you may chose to leave in or take out if not needed or for better air flow. The solid metal make it very difficult to get the power and sata cables installed to the drive. The cables tend to stick out. I wasn't comfortable leaving them that way.

Other Thoughts: The 3 giant fans are all connected to one central power cable (so far as I've been able to see), making for fewer cables and connectors that clutter the build. Great thinking
