5 out of 5 eggsHuge Air flow & Perfect case for pet owners

Pros: * Great amount of airflow. After removing the front HDD cases, the two large fans can pull in a ton of cool air in.
* Lot's of options for fans- lots of fan space.
* Every intake port has a screen filter. If you're a dog owner like i am, Corgi owner for that matter, These are very helpful in screening doggy hairs.

Cons: The only negatives i can find is that this case weighs a lot and has no wheels. i would rather push my case along when I'm servicing it. There was also an issue that i had when loosening the tum screws to the hdd case; they were overly tight. I had to use my power tool to get them undone because hand tools wouldn't work.

Other Thoughts: This is the perfect case for me; with the modular hdd encasement, screen filters & included fans. The hex comb patterns are a nice touch as well.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, but minor flaws.

Pros: I have to say. This case surprised me. It looks phenomenal. Well designed. Sturdy.

1) Steel. It is incredibly sturdy. Even with reversing the hdd support beam.

2) Incredibly silent and cool using the provided fans only.

3) Plenty of room for everything. Seriously. A lot of room for cable management.

4) Filters. And a lot of them.

Cons: Cons:

1) Reversing the mount works but you cannot screw in the hdd bays to the beam. No screws holes. If you want to have that little extra support you will have to drill.

2) 90 degree Angle sata's are practically useless.

3) If you want to use the mounts on the backside of the case you will have to lose the support of the thumb screws holding the hdd bays on the backside.

4) I wouldn't remove the top of the case more than a few times or if you do, treat it like car trim. Even pulling on the front and back to limit wear on the front panel circuits and USB ports.

5) Front and rear-bottom filters slightly an annoyance to remove.

Other Thoughts: My opinion. Well worth the money. Though there are some annoyances, it's bearable.

The Dust filters are a great touch. I live in a dust magnet apartment, under construction, so I'll comment back in a week on how the filters hold up!

4 out of 5 eggsWorks OK. It's big!

Pros: 1. There's a lot of room for stuff.
2. Everything stays relatively cool.
3. I like the drive holders.
4. Fan LEDs look cool.
5. I like all the filters.

Cons: 1. It's bigger in real life than on paper.
2. It's not really loud but it's certainly not quiet. If you shut down, then you notice how loud it really is. I bought an oversized case to get larger fans hoping that it would be nearly silent.
3. As mentioned in another post, fan speed and LED state is not saved after wake up. It's annoying to have to turn off the LEDs and slow the fans down a couple times a day. It would've been easy enough to include a couple of jumpers on the controller board for default state.

Other Thoughts: I knocked off a star because of the fan/LED controller's lack of jumpers. But overall for me, I wish I went a different route. It's a bit noisier than I hoped for and swapping out the fans would be expensive.

Also, if you have a Corsair H100i, it probably won't work on the bottom of the case because the hoses aren't long enough for this case.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome case

Pros: big fans, with filters and blue leds, very water cooling friendly, lots of room behind side panel for wires, lots of slots for hard drives, fan speed low/high control, 4 usb ports on top, lots of space inside in general, very big side window, hdd cages can be taken off or rearranged, additional three 120mm fans can be put on bottom which is also filtered, filters are easy to remove on top and bottom

Cons: front fan filter is not easy to access, 200mm fan airflow is partially restricted by radiator mounting rails

5 out of 5 eggsCore V71

Pros: Very nice gamer case is for sure, definitely has plenty of room for anything you want into a computer. Excellent for air cooling or water cooling. Very well built case, that has abit of weight to it, but all the possiblities you can do with this is nice. Cable management as well.

Cons: Powersupply not included. That is most cases anymore.

Other Thoughts: Definitely pricey, but worth it i believe. This case is huge, so got to have space for it.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat design

Pros: Really well built case, Very roomy on the inside easy to manage cables for a very nice look to it. the side window is very nice and clean to see thru, Air flow is amazing for the case so many fans that you can have in it its pretty crazy (in a good way)

Cons: Cons only 2 of them.

1. The fans that come with the case turns out only Those fans can be controlled by the Led, high/medium fan controllers on the top of the case, even if you have other Thermaltake fans they wont be able to be controlled that way.

2. after about a 2 months or so the entire fan controller its self crapped out so now you cant turn off any led's for the fans that are connected to it or change them from high to low.

Oh and I almost forgot the reset button the little "nub" that would press down on the button was way to long and locked it in the down position so I had to cut that part off and used some weather striping to act as the "nub"

Other Thoughts: Would be nice to have all of there fans ( Thermaltake )
work with the preinstalled led/fan controller

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case! CES winner!!

Pros: Very sleek, elegant case. Clean look, large window, low profile albeit full size. Beautifully made. Very air-cooling oriented. Quiet with 4x 200 mm fans.
Cannot find a better air-ventilated case.

Cons: only 3:
- The top tray can only be removed once the front panel is removed.
- The front usb blocks installation of the optional 200 mm fan on top (the only fan not given) if you wanted to buy an extra thermaltake pure 20 LED fan.
- personal downside - would like to have seen front facing USB 3.0's b/c the top is hard to reach considering how close it is to the buttom of my desk.
Overall great case Very Satisfied with purchase.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Big case, Lots of room, great cooling system,
Highly recommend this product if it is new and everything works.

Cons: The Top/Front Fans' LED light up but the actual fan doesn't work (not spinning). So I called Newegg and requested RMA. They shipped it out the same day it was received.

Okay, So I received the replacement item and I find out it is refurbished.....? The way I can tell it is refurbished is because there are finger print on top wafer portion and the top panel where you can input USB, Mic, headphone inserts is bent and doesn't fit the case 100%. I had to play with it to match.

I tested it, and everything works so just decided to keep it. Now.... I found out that it didn't come with a power cable. Definitely refurbished.....

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
You can RMA just the defective parts with Thermaltake to avoid having to disassemble your system. Additionally, chassis generally do not have with power cables. In any case, please contact Customer Service for assistance with the RMA process.

5 out of 5 eggsTop Notch Cooling

Pros: One of the few cases to have support for no-compromises air AND water cooling - Thermaltake even did offset radiator mounts above the motherboard so that you could put a 360mm radiator in push pull AND two 200mm airflow fans above them and not interfere with the motherboard. Most cases involve either airflow optimization (HAF, Blackhawk Ultra) or liquid cooling optimization (Obsidian 900D, Cosmos2). This one - both. Very impressive.

The fans are very quiet. On low they are so quiet you can hear the HDD spin down when the machine is idle (that's SUPER quiet). Probably the quietest case I've ever used that didn't have sound dampening materials. Plenty of room for everything, including long PS units, HDD arrays, long GPU cards, you name it. There is a lot of room behind the motherboard tray for cable management and every single intake is filtered.

Wow.

All the little things: the motherboard tray has the maximum size cutout for working on CPU cooler mounting. The window panel takes up the entire side of the case, so you can show off everything. All the drive bays are modular, so you can take them out or have them higher or lower in the case (to better fit liquid cooling or to optimize airflow). There are two HDD mounting points behind the cages if you need to remove the cages to fit a more extreme radiator setup. You can even remove the lower 5.25 bay in order to fit an extra-long radiator in the front. The tool-less mounting system is VERY sturdy. Probably the most secure my HDDs have ever been.

It was the easiest build I've ever done, and I have everything setup EXACTLY the way I want. The right number of HDD cages, airflow optimized diagonally, wires tucked away, etc... It's perfect.

Cons: There are only 2 - and these are situational.

1. Compared to other jumbo towers (and yeah, this is bigger than a normal full tower), there are relatively few drive bays. It holds 8x 3.5 (or 2.5) drives, and 2x 5.25, and that's a lot for most people who would buy this case - they probably have an SSD, a fast 2TB for program storage, and maybe a 4TB or two for media. If you're going to run four SSD's in RAID 10 and a ZFS array with 5 drives in it - yeah, not enough drive bays. Probably, if you need THAT kind of storage, you don't need a case like this. But I know for some people 8 won't be enough. Also, the 2x 5.25 bays are separate from each other, and the top one sits in the same spot that a 4th 200mm fan would go. So, if you had a double-height reservoir or tape drive, this won't work. There is enough room for a fan controller in the top bay even if you put in a 200mm in that spot, so as long as you're doing an optical+fan controller, you should be fine. Just something to note.

2. The included fan controller is a bit of a conundrum. It allows the fans to be switched from high to low speed and can turn on and off the blue LED illumination (which is quite bright - very attractive). The problem is that the controller does NOT save state. So, as long as you like having the fans on high and the light on, you will be fine. If you prefer the light off, or that the fans be on low except for special occasions, you will have to make those changes every time your machine turns on or wakes from sleep. Compounding the problem is the way the secret sauce lighting control works - you can't just plug the fans into the motherboard. They work, but the lighting is very very dim. You also can't plug in a 3rd party 200mm fan to the controller either (if you wanted to use that 4th spot). So.... you're just out of luck. If you want to have controllable illumination, you have to use the included fans and just those.

This was so annoying to me I nearly sent the case back.

My solution was to remove all three fans and not use the built in fan controller. I bought a NZXT controller (which fits nicely in the top 5.25 bay), and a set of CoolerMaster Megaflow 200mm fans and have them running at 70% without issue. I don't get to turn off the illumination, but at least I don't have to keep reaching over to turn the fans to low every time I sit down at the computer. Hey, most of us enthusiasts never use included fans anyway. I replaced all the radiator fans with ones made by Noctua, so why should this case be any different? I suppose it just seems wasteful to have three perfectly good 200mm fans sitting in a box, all because the engineers didn't use a simple physical toggle switch instead of a membrane/digital switch, or couldn't let it save state (the way the NZXT controller I'm using does).

But hey - everything is in it now. It's quiet as a mouse, has fantastic airflow, room for all my stuff now and in the future.

Other Thoughts: For the first time ever (and having owned a variety of their products for well over 10 years), I had to use Thermaltake's customer service (a few components of the case were defective). I am happy to report that they were extremely responsive and got me up and running right away.

10 years, 1 support call, fixed immediately = win. Kudos.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Lots of room keeps my rig nice and cool love it! Tt all the way!

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: If your going to put your hard drives in the side mount you'll want to get sata cables that are start to start.
