5 out of 5 eggsA Long Time Companion

Pros: I've had this case for four years, and It's seen some rough times! I've taken it to lan parties, across state lines, to other countries, and, most of all, into my bedroom. It's survived so far, and the only reason I'm replacing it is because I've scratched up the paint and acrylic so much that it no longer adequately represents what's inside it. I love the case, it's got plenty of room, and it's durable, and it gets the job done.

Cons: I couldn't buy another one. Unfortunately it seems as if this case is discontinued on Newegg and I was unable to buy another. Since this is no fault of the case, however, I will not deduct a star for this inescapable truth.

Other Thoughts: If you could still buy it, it'd be a great starter case for any gamer on a budget. If you like it glowing blue, and if you like a retro, sharp look, you should have purchased it while you had the chance!

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Case

Pros: -Its a case
-It holds stuff

Cons: -Cheap material
-The Temperature gauge doesn't work
-The 4pin power connector to the temp gauge broke and actually caused some smoke to come out of my case.
-The door is useless.
-This case overheated a LOT because it only had 1 80mm fan blowing air in.
-The back plate rattles, mobo tray rattles...really annoying.
-Terrible value, Buy an antec 902 instead

Other Thoughts: I upgraded to the Antec 902 and I absolutely love it. It has much more fans and is much cooler.

Buy another case not this Apevia crapola. This thing is a hunk of junk. It may look pretty with the window and the blue led's but that is about all it has to offer.

I had a lot of fun smashing this case with a sledge hammer.

2 out of 5 eggsLooks cool but...

Pros: Pretty lights, decent paint job, temp gauge looks cool.

Cons: Cheap, very light thin sheetmetal; case sides on mine didn't line up square at the back; pain in the tail front bezel; very short on cable management space; HDD bays load from mobo side which requires removal of large pci cards, and you will NOT be able to fit a full-size vid card with multiple HDDs. Tall heatsinks like the Coolermaster V8 will require removal of side case fan; VERY cumbersome when you want to change 5.25" bay hardware; fairly noisy b/c of thin sheetmetal and no vibration isolation on fans or hdd bays. Don't get your hopes up if you think the rear fan is LED because its not... only the side fan is. I thought the clear door on the front would be cool but it ended up being more of a pain in the rear getting in the way of opening dvd writers... the USB ports being on the bottom of the case is a real nerve plucker, too.

Other Thoughts: If you're building a gaming rig, get a good case from someone reputable like Coolermaster or Corsair, you won't regret it. This thing is cheap junk metal. If you want all the gimmicky looks and don't care about quality go ahead and hook it up. I regretted buying this case immediately. You can do a lot better for the money. I also had an Apevia PSU once that died after a few months... yup, no more Apevia anything for me. In the long run, you don't save money by buying cheap junk.

5 out of 5 eggsworth the money

Pros: the case is sturdy. on-board temp gauge in front is a sweet addition. I have it reading the CPU temp and its accurate. there is plenty of room inside. the lighting is pleasnt to look at.

Cons: front plastic door is easy to break/fall off if you are not cautious when transporting. if ya made a new-age gaming rig that makes heat, this is not a case for you. fan placement and quanity is limited. most will not have any issues w/ heat tho.

2 out of 5 eggsCool looking

Pros: Looks cool. Has a lot of fan space. The removable motherboard tray is neat.

Cons: Quite a few

Fan in back was DOA and not powered by the MB but instead the PSU.
Mother Board tray is uneven and wobbles.
Poor cable management. I thought because the back panel came off I could wire back there like with my Thermal take case... I was wrong. The rail keeps you from wiring the thick PSU cables down behind the motherboard to keep things looking neat.

Because of the warped tray the GPU wouldn't fit in the expansion slot snugly. (Which does not feature the ability to slide the tab in a slide or holder. So I had to hold the GPU firmly against the opening and screw it down tight.) To much of a hassle.

Oh and had a problem with screwing the PSU into it.

Other Thoughts: I had to Macgyver every bit of the way to make it seem like the wires were out of the way. Took me more then It took a whole 4 hours to build the comp and getting running because of these issues.

I do not recomend this case at all. The only reason I'm happy about it is that I pwnt this little life sucker and got it looking good. But not worth the frustration or cuts (lots of sharp edges). Go with another case.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case...

Pros: This was the first and only computer that I built and chose to use this case. I like the way the case looks and there is plenty of room inside for upgrades if you choose to do so. Easy access into case through side glass panel. I've had mine going on4 years now and have ad zero problems with it.

Cons: The rear exhaust fan is a bit loud but does not bother me. Otherwise I have no complaints.

Other Thoughts: I changed the thumb screws on the back for easier access and also to match the rest of the case. When i was building my PC, the blue led lights were a bit bright for me so I decided to change them. It was very simple to remove the front of the case, cut the wires and remove the 4 blue led lights. I soldered in 4 new red led light and also added red fan on the side and some red lights inside. Now I have a more sleek and subtle looking black and red case. I feel it's easier on the eyes rather than the blue.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall A Great Case

Pros: The LED’s on the front look cool and are really bright. At night they light up my entire room, I don’t have to turn the lights on, which is nice, because now there is no glare on my computer screen. Great for when I stay up late playing games.

There is plenty of space inside for all of my parts and there are a few nice crevices in the front where I can tuck the extra wires to make for great cable management.

There are thumb screws on the back that hold the side panel on, this is really nice for me since I often make hardware changes to my PC, it makes it really fast when adding a new part.

Cons: The only big problem is with space, my motherboard didn’t fit correctly, and for a few days I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working. It turns out that it was touching the motherboard tray and was short-circuiting, so I had to use some stands to lift it off the tray. Problem solved.

The 120mm fan that came with the case was broken when I got it so I had to buy one online, not a big deal really, I just bought a 10 dollar replacement and it was shipped in a few days.

Another problem, which is more of an annoying hassle rather than an actual con, is that, to put the hard drives and DVD drives into the case, you have to take both sides off the case and stick them is the opposite side. It’s more of an annoyance rather than an actual con.

The glass door on the front often gets in the way, when you turn it on and off you have to open it every time, and I find myself forgetting to close it and accidentally kicking it when walking by, I just took it off and the problem was solved.

4 out of 5 eggsNeat case

Pros: Pretty. Front door caries light from the light columns and adds to the effect. Comes with two fans although one is not a light up fan.
Temp probe/guage is surprisingly accurate.

Cons: Did not come with a manual. Had to download it online.

Came with one corner of the case smashed in.
Dont know who is to blame, although its probably UPS's mistake again.
I had to do alot of reshaping to the metal to fix that.

Other Thoughts: Good for the money.

4 out of 5 eggs3 years later....

Pros: Easy installation, everything fit nicely, including my 8800 GTS.
When I first powered this case on I was amazed at how good it looked.
3 years and counting all the fans are still working.
The front analog Temp dial is shining bright and reflects temp accurately.

Cons: The front door is useless, I removed it the day after I installed it. It cut down air flow (I purchased 2 extra blue LED fans for the front panel) and was a burden to open and close when accessing the CD/DVD.
The case is a bit loud, but doesn't bother me much.
I have had this case for over 3 years now and all the pretty blue LED'S no longer light including the front vertical bars.
The side door doesn't fit exactly and because I don't use the thumb screws (If it was tightened down this would be a non issue, so I take the blame for it), I occasionally kick the panel and it falls off.

Other Thoughts: I really loved this case from the moment I first powered it on. I was excited to show everyone my computer when they came over.
I am currently building a new computer and plan to give this one to my wife... I would love to be able to fix the front vertical bars to light again... Maybe someone from Apevia can let me know if there are replacement parts ?

I am very much considering another Apevia case for my new build, as stated above, the installation of my last build was flawless, and the case has kept all of my components safe and cool for the past 3 years.
I would also like to point out the Blue LED inside my Zalman CPU cooler has ceased working too, fan is working well though. I only mention this because I thought LEDS would last a lot longer than any of the ones in my case have.

Manufacturer Response:

If you wish to purchase parts for your case, you can contact Apevia's customer service at or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.
