4 out of 5 eggsDecent case

Pros: Looks good has a decent amount of space for most pc builds. Dials and lights on the front all work and have a nice blue color. Plenty of expansions slots for more drives. All in all not a bad case.

Cons: The only problem i had with this case was the fan speed controller. I could not get the 3 case fans that came with it to have any kind on speed control no matter what I did. They ran the same speed hooked straight to the 12v as they did hooked to the fan control. Docked one egg for this because the installed fans should be able to utilize the cases functions.

Other Thoughts: It's a nice case and the three fans that come with it are really quiet and seem to cool decently for the speed they run. I ordered some higher rpm case fans to replace the stock ones because I would rather have a cooler case than a quiet one, but that's just me.

4 out of 5 eggsSecond one of these I own

Pros: Solid, looks great, great cooling system built in, retro dials are cool, easy to work with.

Cons: Almost all the lights worked(the front inserts on my case did not light up)--it still looks great though.

Other Thoughts: This is my second one, the first one(red) was bought two years ago and is still going strong. This one had the two front led's that lit up the inserts not work, but it still looks great with the three dials lit up, so I forgive it, but I did knock off an egg for it. Building with it holds no surprises, and the three fan cooling system with fan speed control built in works great. For the money, this is a really nice case that doesn't look like every other case in it's price range, try it out and see for yourself.

4 out of 5 eggsA few flaws

Pros: Received order in 5 buisness days not the 2-6 weeks for FPO addresses as stated. Lots of room. Inside case stay cool.

Cons: usb ports were rusted, hard drive slot was very tight, had to force hard drive in.

Other Thoughts: Overall, i would order another one of these cases.

5 out of 5 eggsIf a case can be beautiful....

Pros: Nice quality/materials used in making case, but it's the blue LED lighting which also lights up the case fans, nicely finished silver case and stylish gauges which are da bomb setting it apart.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsMail in rebait on Apevia X-Cruiser2 case

Pros: Newegg shipped real fast....this is the only pros about this case.

Cons: Forget the mail in rebate. Apevia wants you to wait about 12 weeks for the refund. I sent the requisted info in on 6-6-12 and I waited till 9-10 and sent an email and they said I did not send in the right things...I sent in all info that was asked for ....They want you to wait 12 weeks so that you will forget the rebate....This is the second co. that never sent the rebatge.....They always find an excuse not to send it.

Other Thoughts: If you want a good case don't buy Apevia and forget the rebates from this co.

Manufacturer Response:

We have a 10-12 week processing period that is stated on the Mail-in Rebate Form. As long as all the steps are followed and the correct documentation is sent in, we honor our rebates. This customer sent in the wrong documentation and we sent a scan of the rebate submission as proof.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Decent Case for it's cost.

Cons: Kind of fragile.

Other Thoughts: It may just me, but whenever I "daisy chain" the fan wires, I always have to left over female ends.

4 out of 5 eggsI like it.

Pros: Space, Shiny, Neat 'retro' style gauges for fan speed, temp, etc...

Cons: odd placement of "front" USB and Audio ports.

Other Thoughts: First off this is my first ever mid tower. normally i get full towers. that being said i was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space i had to work in. The gauges on front are a nice aesthetic touch. it has three 120 MM fans that do their job well without making obscene amounts of noise and it seems well insulated against sound escaping from the CPU fan, Video card fan and hard drives. I actually thought something was messed up at first because after setting it up all the lights came on but i didnt hear any sound.

3 out of 5 eggsInexpensive fun

Pros: It's a cheap, flashy case, I like the gauges and the pseudo-50's American car styling. Comes with fan controller, a few big fans (2 are LED, 1 isn't) and plenty of 3.5" drive slots.

The essential aspects of the case work. Can support some tool-less methods.

Can be quiet at idle, with the door closed and fans turned down.

Cons: -Audio VU circuit isn't good.
-Front cover/door creaks. Spend a couple a couple minutes routing the wires coming from this and things improve a bit.
-The cases overall depth is too short to accommodate my EVGA GTX 260 without sacrificing a couple 3.5" slots (by about an inch).
-There's a muffler on the side panel fan, while reducing noise does impact the airflow, easily removed.
-Only comes with screws.
-Temperature probe only reaches about halfway across the case if it's routed alongside the 5.25" bays.
-Inlet port in the door for the front fan is pitiful, open the door or get busy with the dremel.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I like this case. When I bought it, the other cases at this price point were made worse or didn't have as many features (as cheesy as some of them are). Yeah, the fan controller is simple, and the gauges aren't terribly accurate, but I bought it with the intention of modding it a bit anyways, kind of like the 50's cars it's styled after.
-1 Egg for not being 1" deeper for giant video cards.
-1 Egg for cheap electrics, only providing screws and not having a larger aperture in the door.

Manufacturer Response:

The X-Cruiser2 comes with three 120mm case fans; only one (the side panel) lights up. The other two do not LED.

3 out of 5 eggscheap but i see why but i can live with it.

Pros: good air flow lots of space like the lighting, 3 fans nice

Cons: wish there was a way to turn down the front lights and fan light separately, front cover does have some problems like the other review says i also find i don't like how the front cover blocks the front fan, i think there are some air holes in the front cover but if there are there small. also the plastic glass side window is not flush with the case i think this is kind of stupid it just makes it look more cheap. also its loud as fa q and im not really sure the fans are really pushing much air even on high settings and ik having 3 fans is going to make it loud but couldn't they make it so you could turn off the fans independently if i want it to rum more quite when not taxing my system very much. also could be an inch shorter.

Other Thoughts: got this for a good deal and like the meters and having 3 fans
but it could be fixed up a lot but if i were to get something else i would want similar features without the front cover its kinda a pain in the a.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: Plenty of room even with full ATX MoBo and long two slot wide video card. Very illuminus with the blue LED lights in all three fans and illuminated front cover with gages for Fan Speed, Case Temperature, and Sound volume. The case has a manual variable fan speed so it run decently quiet. Lots of room for internal drives. Thumb screws for case side removal are handy.

Cons: While opening the front cover it feels like it could break off easily. Maybe it is the plastic hinges on the aluminum case that has the odd feel to it. There are wires that feed power and data to the front cover at the bottom that makes the front cover slightly difficult to open and stay open. Changing out CD/DVDs while holding the front cover open that wants to swing closed be cause of these tight wires may get annoying.

Other Thoughts: it would be nice if this case had a feature that could dim or turn off the lights. It may be too bright if you have to sleep in the same room with it while it is on
