5 out of 5 eggsApevia quality

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-PK Pink Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Great case for a modern entry level build, I used this case to create a modern build for my mom. I built her a new PC. Has 5 case fans. Also has a digital meter on the front panel to monitor CPU temperature.

Cons: I couldn't find any room for cable management.

1 out of 5 eggsPoorly Made

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-PK Pink Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Infinite amount of fans, LCD Temperature guage can come in handy. Exterior looks good.

Cons: 3.5' Drive bays are mounted too close to the side panel so it's actually impossible to fit a 147MM length HDD in the drive bay the correct way. SSD's are fine but i had to take off the other side panel and put the HDD in backward for it to be able to fit.

Power supply is on the bottom. Power supplies on top are more of a perosnal preference but when you also have THREE fans at the top of the case, it's just an excessive amount of hanging wires.

The stock side panel fan is too wide and leaves practically no room at all to plug in the power cables for your video card unless you have one that's a big smaller. I installed a 760 in this and it practically brushes up against the fan. This also makes it difficult to funnel the rest of the wiring from the power supply at the bottom to the rest of the case.

Both USB 2.0 ports on the front panel were not built correctly and fried TWO flash drives and a wireless mouse. When i plugged in the USB devices, all the LED's on the computer shut off. It couldn't have been more then 5 to 6 seconds later when I pulled the flash drive and mouse out of the ports that the heads were burning hot and the chip inside was fried. The 3.0 Port and the audio ports functioned properly.

Other Thoughts: This case would be perfect if it was about 1-2 inches wider. Assuming you don't have an HDD or a "larger" sized graphics card the case is just fine if you like having your power supply on the bottom.

Personally, this is worst case I've purchased. It's a shame because i really like the exterior look. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this case.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly good quality

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-PK Pink Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Good size, good configuration. Fans nicer than expected, over all better quality than I expected, and really good for the price.

Cons: Not the highest quality case, but for the price it's extremely good quality.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a pink computer build. It was a gift, and they were extremely happy. All in all a great purchase if you're looking for a pink case.

5 out of 5 eggsBEAUTACIOUS PINK BEAST!!

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-PK Pink Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: So many good things about this Case. Besides that it's pink. I was extreamly impressed with how well it's been shipped to me. ( Thank you Newegg you're the best ) No damage what so ever. ( though funny FedEx left it at my door instead of having me sign for it) But I'm serious this is the best buy I've ever had. It's big. Great easy to decide where I want my temperature to show for. Like CPU or GPU or the ambiance of the case. Easy to add everything in. Just perfect. Craftsmanship is awesome no paint chip no el-cheapo appearing pieces. And get this. Even has adapter parts and screws. Now that I defintly appreciate. Thanks

Cons: Only down side was the instruction manual. Seriously if you're going to have it say "Where the red circles are" Uh make sure the booklet isn't in black and white. Kind of hard to see red circles in a black and white instruction booklet. But other than that it's a great book.

1 out of 5 eggsBroken 200m fan, ripped out LED.

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-PK Pink Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Pink case! Lots of fans.

I didn't have any problems with the pins in the fan connectors other folks were reporting. They seemed pretty standard to me.

Cons: One fewer fan (the 200mm) and LED than it was supposed to have because whoever originally boxed it didn't tape up the power lead to the fan. It ripped out from the solder join, taking the LED with it.

That's kind of a big deal, since the biggest selling points of this case are that it's pink with red LEDs, and has lots of fans.

Other Thoughts: I will contact Apevia and Newegg and see if I can get a new side window fan, cord and LED... and may update then.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case...fan connections not so much

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-PK Pink Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The Case is perfect for a pink person with the red clear side window and bright pink color.... It also comes with a good amount of fans and internal temp gauge you can put in the heat sink fins and displays on the front. that is good for someone (like my wife) that won't actively keep an eye on they're computer temperature.

Cons: The fan power connections were low quality and the pins were easily push out of the back... I personally drew back the pins, connected the sleeves, then manually pushed in each pin individually into place while holding the shelves together on at least 3 of the fan connections.

Other Thoughts: Since i'm use to working with computer parts the fan connections weren't really a problem for me but if you are uncomfortable you might want someone else to build your computer for you.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-PK Pink Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It's quiet, and it's pink.

Cons: The SSD must be mounted on the bottom of the case. A second SSD would require a mounting bracket. Also, one of the front USB ports is tilted on my case.

3 out of 5 eggsLow Quality Case for the Price

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-PK Pink Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: There is a SATA hot swap bay and a temperature monitor.
Fans everywhere.

Cons: The plastic front plate is a different shade of pink as the metal chassis.
The plastic is very cheap; the level of cheap you would expect on a cheaper "throw away" case. If you have to remove the front faceplate, take great care not to crack the plastic connectors.
Things aren't lined up correctly, for example, the USB3 port on the front points diagonally down rather than parallel with the floor like 2 USB2 ports are; an example of rushed production and lack of quality control. The SATA hotswap port is also oriented at an odd angle.
All the fans were the old 4 pin molex connectors. I replaced the front and rear fans with the 3-pin KK style, for the ones provided had connectors so loose that when your tried to plug them in the pins would pop out the back; This was a real pain.
7 devices in this case used a molex power connector.
I don't really care all that much about this but it is very much an example of how Apevia went the cheap route, all metal pci slots are punch out.

Other Thoughts: This is my first experience with Apevia. I bought this case because my daughter said she wanted a pink case and there were two options; this was the "less boring looking". Everything about this case screams "cheap". It doesn't feel sturdy at all, it was a pain to assemble, and I felt like I was working on one of those "throw away" cases. If I could do it again, I would have bought an Antec 302 and spray painted it pink. I don't think this case was worth what they want for it and the quality is pretty low, so that's why I mark it low in my rating. My daughter didn't care though, she said it looks cool and is happy; all that matters to her is that it's pink and she can play Minecraft.

2 out of 5 eggsI wanna love this but...

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-PK Pink Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The color is awesome. The front panel lights and temp sensor are cool. It was pretty roomy inside for its form factor. The number of fans it comes with is very nice. I like the HDD bay though I wish it was on top and not the front.

Cons: Where do I begin?

First, my side panel fan's molex broke off from the chip on the fan. It looks like the solder came right off. Not too sure. I noticed it when my fiance handed me a molex cable that was just neatly bound up and laying inside the case. Not having a custom heat sink or anything I would like this fan to work. I am wondering if I am RMA the panel and or fan itself and not the entire thing.

Second, there were NOT enough screws to fit my MoBo and I only needed 6. I had to scrounge around from my person stash ot have enough. I was not happy with this. If this had been my first case or if I was new to this I would have been out of luck.

Other Thoughts: All the fans were molex and you can daisy chain them but it makes it a little harder to have good wire management. So if you get this case plan on taking a little effort to have a good set up. The cables were not too short but I felt they could have been and inch more generous with their cabling.

The temp monitor in the front is a super awesome feature and with the extra USB 3.0 and 2.0 in the front this makes a nice tower for a semi-gamer or someone who just wants a nice cute tower. I would recommend this but inform them that it could be a little faulty. If my issue with the fan gets fixed I will change my idea.

Manufacturer Response:

You can do an RMA through us for the case fan to get an exchange on it if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.
