5 out of 5 eggsGreat case, unique design

This review is from: APEVIA X-Sniper X-SNIPER2-GN Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Side Window-Green

Pros: -room for ample cooling
-Nice side window, the green makes for a nice unique build
-Sturdy build
-Spacious with ample opportunity for cable management
-Very unique design

Cons: -Would have preferred USB 2.0 in the front

Other Thoughts: Other Thoughts:
Used this case in a build for my girlfriend. Gotta say I got a little more than I expected. Feels sturdy, Nice and spacious inside and the cable management made for some nice aesthetics inside the case. Room for all the fans and the green side panel saved me from buying cathodes. For sure I would buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat case for the price

This review is from: APEVIA X-Sniper X-SNIPER2-GN Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Side Window-Green

Pros: this case is extremely spacious. I haven't had any issues when putting components in. I've got an r9 290 sitting comfortably with a 200mm side panel fan and no issues when closing the case. it's solid as well, I don't have any issues when moving it and feeling like it'll fall apart in my hands. I would highly recommend this case to anyone looking for a cheap solid case

Cons: none so far

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Starter Case

This review is from: APEVIA X-Sniper X-SNIPER2-GN Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Side Window-Green

Pros: Nice looking inexpensive case. All hardware is pretty easy to install which makes it great starter case. Plenty of places to install fans.

Cons: The rails for the hard drives stick out too far and it makes it hard to attach the side panel. They keep the panel from sitting properly and makes a two man to put it on.

Also, the manual states "the blue cable is for USB 3.0 port on the front. You can use the USB 2.0 connect attached to it if you motherboard doe snot support the new USB 3.0 standard." I could not find a USB 2.0 connector to use. So now I have USB ports on the front that I cannot use.

Other Thoughts: 3 eggs because of these two issues.

Manufacturer Response:

The hard drives would have to be installed "backwards", meaning that the cables would be connected on the right-hand side instead of the left like most other cases. As for the USB issue, our original run did have a 2.0 adapter cable with it but we have since changed it to 3.0 only. You should be able to purchase an adapter cable at any place that sells computer parts.

5 out of 5 eggsAPEVIA X-Sniper computer case

This review is from: APEVIA X-Sniper X-SNIPER2-GN Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Side Window-Green

Pros: Looks good, price was fair... at least it was when I bought it back in Feb 2015, plenty of room for my needs.

Cons: I'm pretty sure the front USB ports are only for USB 3.0 and the mobo I have only has USB 3.0 built in to the rear connector where all the other hookups are. That's more of a motherboard issue not the cases fault, I just kind of realized that too lol...

Other Thoughts: The manual says something about using USB 2.0 for the front ports but I couldn't figure out what it meant. I guess I'll look at it again... I still think it's a pretty awesome case. I might buy another one eventually. I actually bought this for my sons computer and he loves it.

Manufacturer Response:

If your motherboard only has USB2.0 ports then you can always purchase a 3.0-to-2.0 adapter cable that will allow you to use the front panel ports. Any devices hooked up this way will only run at USB2.0 speeds, though.

This review is from: APEVIA X-Sniper X-SNIPER2-GN Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Side Window-Green

Pros: No problems with this case at all! Love the look of it, went together smooth with cables all neatly tucked away!

Cons: I got a 200mm fan for the side and the video card power cords got in the way of the fan...fixed with a zip tie..not really a con just a heads up

3 out of 5 eggsGreat looks belies cheapish build

This review is from: APEVIA X-Sniper X-SNIPER2-GN Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Side Window-Green

Pros: Looks great, OK cable management, toollless drive bays

Cons: HDD's are too close to side panel, "Watercool Ready" is misleading, punch out expansion slots are flimsy and bend easy

Other Thoughts: For the price I really cannot complain. It is not some wonderful case with fantastic wire management, but it does hide wires well behind the MoBo tray. The toolless drive bays are very nice, though my dual bay res does not fit or line up very well with the holes. The side window feels a bit flimsy, like it is just waiting to crack. The thumb screws on mine were also misthreaded so I may need to retap the holes at some point later.

It is NOT water cooler ready. Yes, there are two hose punch outs in the back, but my 120mm rad did NOT fit inside the case where the rear 120mm fan support is. The rad is just a mm too wide. It has 2x 120mm fan support on the top and 1x 120mm fan support on the bottom. Eventually I mounted the rad internally to one of the top supports but the fan had to be run externally because the system RAM was in the way.

The expansion slots and drive bays were blocked by attached punch outs. The cheap, thin metal of the expansion slots bent easily trying to remove the covers, this is unacceptable when a screw on cover would have added so little to the cost. The drive bays have decorative covers on the outside, there is no reason to have attached metal break off covers on the inside as well. Again, these attached to the flimsy metal meant the drive cage could be easily twisted and bent if not careful.

If the case was just a half inch wider, and a half inch taller, it would be much much nicer. I am happy with it, though, it looks killer, and was cheap with some nice features.

4 out of 5 eggsLooks great, was cheap, didn't cut me

This review is from: APEVIA X-Sniper X-SNIPER2-GN Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Side Window-Green

Pros: Cheap price
Good expandability
Lots of fan mounting points
Doesn't cut you
Lightweight

Cons: Plastic pieces are cheap, but they look nice
Side panel doesn't agree with intake fans, see other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'd have to say this is a very good case for the price you pay. Only one fan, but who cares, you're adding your own anyway. There's a dilemma though, there aren't many green fans.

Onto fans, that side panel that allows 120mms or a 200mm, it really doesn't like intake air. I installed three different types of 120mm fans and one 200mm as intake, and all of them make the little plastic slits vibrate and they all make a pretty awful noise. If you mount them as exhaust, that sound basically goes away. So minus one egg on that. I'm guessing with enough space between the slits and your fan you'll be good. I'll try getting a gasket or something to test again, but even if that fixed it, I'd still give minus one egg overall for the side panel. It's quite cheap, isn't well designed for airflow, and has giant slits that'll just let in dust.

Summary, cheap case is cheap, but it does its job surprisingly well, looks best with an LED fan mounted to the side, unfortunately you'll have to suffer with a plastic rattle/vibrating noise.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case!

This review is from: APEVIA X-Sniper X-SNIPER2-GN Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Side Window-Green

Pros: This case looks really cool, and even better with lighting on the inside. Having 2.5 and 3.5 drive bays is nice, and there is plenty of space for drive connection.

Cons: Depth of the case is just barely enough (then again, this is with my own setup) and the side panels can be a little challenging to sit back in their tracks.

5 out of 5 eggsStylin

This review is from: APEVIA X-Sniper X-SNIPER2-GN Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Side Window-Green

Pros: Gets the job done whilst stylin like a boss. All around great.

Cons: None really except that the case comes with 3.0 USB ports and I was not aware of this (my fault, not the case's). My mb only supports 2.0 so make sure you get a mb that is compatible, or get a 2.0 to 3.0 converter.
