Who says cutting edge cool has to be expensive? NZXT's Apollo begs to differ. This highly affordable case doesn't need any fancy words to show its edge of cool, one picture is more than enough. But don’t think this is just another pretty face. With 5 external 5.25" drive bays, a 3.5" external drive bay, and four internal 3.5" drive bays, this case has room for whatever you need in it.

All of the external drives are protected behind a stylish door that is part and parcel of the Apollo's hot looks. Naturally it includes two USB ports, a Firewire port, and two audio ports located on the right side of the case for easy access. The side panel has the required window with pre mounted 120mm blue LED fan, with another 120mm fan in the rear to make sure the heat from this system is just from its looks. With all this, what more could be asked of it?

How about the durability of steel to protect your investment? This is indeed the total package you’ve been looking for.

4 out of 5 eggsGood But Not the Greatest

Pros: I like it, looks Luke an Alienware case (I think it is). Wish I had it longer so I could give a good review. The layout is great, easy to put the hd and DVD drive. The chassis is ok. Lots of rooms to put powersupply in case.

Cons: I wish it had a fan at the top and the side fan were places higher where the CPU is. The fan attatchment at the bottom front of the case was a a hassle at first to put in the 120 mil fan but I realized (for any of you who had or having this problem), you need to unscrew the two bottom screws and the two side screws in the side of the chassi. Furthermore, when I pushed down on the PCI clips to insert the graphics card, etc, I chiped my nails, felt like the blade of a hockey skate.

Other Thoughts: Other than that, I think the iCute 302sl (Black) case I hade was better, but only reason I bought this is because the powersupply I have is big and it fit in the NZXT Apollo. Also, it has good circulation other than the iCute and alot cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case!!

Pros: Very cool design
Steel, so durable and muffles sounds well
Clear-side includes a blue LED fan that's awesome looking
Hidden front for disc drives

Cons: There is room for a 120mm fan to be put in right behind the hard drives, but it's a real pain to get it in there. Also, the front panel isn't perfectly parallel with the top of the case, but that's no big.

Other Thoughts: This case is really awesome. It looks awesome, plenty of room for building inside, easy to install drive bays. The expansion slot covers are easily removed, however the clips that help hold in your cards are very fragile; I broke two of them putting in my video card and wireless adapter. But you can use screws to hold those in just in case you break them off. Overall, I love this case.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case!

Pros: Fits everything. Easy to install. Looks like Alienware. Add a green 120mm fan in the front intake and BAM! you have a stunning case. The no screw option makes things incredibly easy to install. You can choose to use screws too, which is awesome for extra stability.

Cons: Missing front intake fan.

3 out of 5 eggsBeware of NZXT Rebates

Pros: I own 4 NZXT cases. Nice, solid. I'm tainted, though, because of their rebate failures.

Cons: Rebates appear to be a scam. I've been waiting 5 months. Search on the internet and you'll find lots of complaints about NZXT rebates. Consider the price without the rebate... IF you ever get the rebate, consider it a bonus.

Other Thoughts: Great job, as usual, from NewEgg!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case!

Pros: This case worked out fantastic! For the price, it's got what I wanted: HUGE space, actual easy to use expansion slots, 2 fans (1 LED on the side fan), and nice power lights. Fit the following great:
ASROCK P55 Exteme
Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro.
ATI Radeon 5770
Kingwin 730 Watt

Cons: The instruction manual is a joke. Remember - is the same as ground. And the colors of the cables don't match the descriptions in the book. Also, I needed one more mounting stand for the board. I'm not gonna sweat an egg for one though.

Other Thoughts: Great deal. And it looks fantastic.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent case for the money

Pros: I have purchased about 8 different NZXT cases all of them have met or exceded my expextations. But the real PLUS is their customer service, second to none. I had a bad LED in the front panel one. I contacted them and they quickly sent me out a new one. In one of my apollo's the front led didn't work and they sent me the whole front panel. Great products, even GREATER CUSTOMER SERVICE

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Plenty of room comes with 2 120mm fans but you can add a front 120 it's alittle difficult to install but blows directly on your hard drives.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Build, Excellent Case.

Pros: If your searching around for a good case, definitely you should look in to purchasing this one. The tooless design worked like magic and i loved it. The blue neon lights look awesome, this case reminds me a lot of an alien ware case but much better. For the price I don't think I would have purchased any other case.

Cons: The metal face plates behind the door were quite annoying, I don't know if I am the only one who couldn't figure out how to remove them without twisting then snapping them off. The directions were a bit shaky at times however I did buy a budget board so it may have been why. However this is my first build so I was surprised how easy it was.

Other Thoughts: Definitely buy this case.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the money

Pros: Lights up like the star ship enterprise, solid frame, screwless design, plenty of space inside.

Cons: hinges on door look weird, and the black front piece is just a tinted window...nothing fancy, just a case.

Other Thoughts: Good deal for the money, when I first opened the case up, I was immediately impressed with the space on the inside, and layout. I've seen other cases where stuff is almost touching (heat problems), and it's hard to hide wires. This case though had enough room to almost completely hide all the extra wiring leaving a clear view of the board, cards, and shiny lights on the fans.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Solid Case

Pros: This case is built pretty solid. The panels are really strong and the interior seems very sturdy in comparison to other cases I have worked with. The blue LED lighting is cool on the front. Another good feature is that the headphone and USB ports are on the outside of the door rather than behind it like some other ones. Easy installation of parts, except for the expansion slots which I will cover under cons. Fits a HIS 4850 IceQ4 with plenty of room.

Cons: The slots for the expansion cards are a real pain. First of all, they do not clip in right away when you have a card installed. It is very difficult to get it to pop back in unless you push the clip from the back of the case inward. The holes to put an extra screw in to support your card is too small to fit normal screws that go in there and you end up having to force it.

It also is difficult to do cable management, but that might be just because I suck at it.

Did not come with a 3rd fan in the front (do they ever? lol)

Other Thoughts: Overall it was a solid case when I put the build together. It is silent in the HDD bays so no vibrating of the cage.

For someone wanting a cool looking case and a good quality build I would recommend the NZXT Apollo

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful, easy to use case

Pros: Very sleek and sexy design. The silver is fairly resistant to fingerprints/dust. The fans move a ton of air and are impressively quiet (I only ever hear them in the boot process). Connectors are well labeled and easy to plug in. (At least with my Gigabyte board) Did I mention it looks amazing?

Cons: Silver model does not come with a rebate. Plastic pins that hold the PCI/PCI-E card/s in place are a little tricky to use. I ended up screwing my video card into place anyway, just using the plastic grips to set on top.

Other Thoughts: It would be great if the door were hinged, instead of coming completely off, but it's not the worst. It only makes it a little tricky to tuck the power cable for the side fan away.

I e-mailed Newegg asking if the rebate extended to the silver model. Unfortunately it does not, but Newegg was great and extended a courtesy discount of ten dollars on the item! Go Newegg! Be sure to ask!
