5 out of 5 eggsPerfect case for living room gaming

Pros: - Best "cube" case I have ever worked with. Shorter than most µATX towers, but has just as much room / features on the inside.
- Brilliant construction quality.
- Easy to mod.

Cons: - Slightly heavier than one would expect at first glance.
- Buckle on included back straps broke easily. Would not trust to carry around case as advertised.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case back in 2008 and I have cycled countless builds through it. Until recently it has been sitting in storage and I just recently decided to turn it into a Steam Machine. I just finished re-anodizing the panels that have become scratched and custom re-wired all of the fans and headers to allow for better air flow. I also fitted the front 3.5" panel with toggle switches for the lights and control knobs for the 5 fans. The case is an unrivaled beauty and will look stunning in my living room when it is finished.

5 out of 5 eggsBlack NZXT!

Pros: looks nice, nice workmenship. good airflow, i run 3 intake 2 exhaust, keeps my system a chilly 35 or lower idle, and under 45(in wow, 25man raid with high, not ultra settings. and tough. and i mean tough!

Cons: idk... heavy? i knew it was heavy. but boy you get tired when you lift this bad boy to a desk lvl! they keys work for eachothers, bro has one and his key works in mine and vise versa! oh well... window placement is odd, so get a cool PSU! solved. everything else im happy with

Other Thoughts: Umm... waffles? ITS 21LBS EMPTY!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND BE PREPAIRED FOR MODING IT! EG NEW SCREWS!!!! (some are low quality!)

*TIP: Use a 92MM fan for HD cooling, fits in the HD RAILS and keeps my HD at 33C gaming, downloading and riping movies!! (30 is the lowest temp the HD will opt the best)

5 out of 5 eggsFinally ~ A COOL mATX case!

Pros: Very roomy for a mATX, excellent fan placement/cooling options and with low cfm 120mm fans, is very quiet. It's not SFF, but it offers the best config for air flow. This is the best case I've had for cooling and quiet in the same package.

Cons: The screws that hold the case together are VERY small, but everything will fit if you take time and they will not strip if you assist with pressure while tightening ~ even the intake filters will fit with the supplied screws. It is large for a mATX case, but the cooling config cancels that out.

Other Thoughts: If cooling is your issue, you'll enjoy this one! ;-)

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case!

Pros: - Big! Fits everything including whopping video cards
- Fans are quiet and provide great airflow, esp. for OCing
- Quality: feels sturdy. Truly well built
- Looks great! LED lights and fan make this thing tasty eyecandy
- Accessibility: front ports and rear ports + case door well oriented

Cons: - Heavy as hell (but indestructable, as well)
- Lots of screws to work with when opening

Other Thoughts: This is a fantastic case. It won't wobble when you lift it, it has great airflow and expandability, and it looks great. I'de recommend it for home and enthusiast use without a doubt (maybe not for office/professional if you can't get away with it :) )

1 out of 5 eggsNOT AS DESCRIBED

Pros: NONE

Cons: 1) NOT ALL ALUMINUM IT HAS A STEEL CHASSIS
2) THE VIDEO CARD SCRAPES ALL THE WAY IN WHEN THE TRAY IS INSTALLED AND YOU CANT INSTALL IT AFTER UNLESS YOU CUT THE LIP OFF THAT PSU SITS ON
3) AFTER REMOVING THE TOP THE STEEL WAS RUSTING THROUGH THE PAINT
4) IT WAS SO HARD TO SLIDE THE HARD DRIVES IN I HAD TO SOAP UP THE SIDES OF THEM AND FORCE THEM IN ILL NEVER GET THEM OUT!
5) I HAD TO REMOVE THE CPU HEAT SINK TO SLIDE THE MOTHERBOARD TRAY IN
6) ILL NEVER LISTEN TO 3DGAMERMAN AGAIN

4 out of 5 eggsNice mATX Case

Pros: This is a cool case! The construction quality is very high. The aluminum is very thick and solid which makes it quite heavy (in my opinion, a very good thing). The layout is as good as can be expected for the form factor. Everything fit in just as it should. The case came with a PSU extender for larger power supplies, all the tools needed to take off the side panels and PLENTY of extra screws.

Assembly was really not that big of a deal as long as you plan out how to do it. The motherboard tray was really handy.

I was able to fit all of my components in without any bending or breaking. Fits a GTX 260 no problem.

Cons: Be strategic when building. Think through everything before you start.

Other Thoughts: Put the PSU in LAST! Otherwise it will be quite difficult/impossible to get anything else in. My graphics card (GTX 260) would not slide through the motherboard tray opening, I would suggest putting the graphics card in AFTER sliding the motherboard tray back into place.

The case description says that it only comes with 3 out of the 5 fans. I too am tired of reading reviews of this case saying that it should have had all 5 fans. READ THE DESCRIPTION!

I am really happy with this case and would definitely build another system using it. Nice job NZXT!

P.S. anyone know the address of that guy who says he put his cases on the curb?

4 out of 5 eggsNice case, but!

Pros: Great quality, but a bit awkward. Heavy. I thought aluminium would be light, but this case is thick heavy and strong. Oh yea, it's huge. somehow I though the point of a micro-ATX case was to be small but this is not small. It's a great case, for sure, just going to be a lot tighter fit than planed. I did measure and it will fit, but make sure you do the same

Cons: I tried putting in a Asus ASUS Rampage II GENE and a COOLER MASTER Hyper N 520 RR-920-N520-GP which I thought someone said would work, but the cooler mounts by putting nuts on the bottom of the board, then you mount the board to the tray and then you discover you can't install the tray. Since it's easier to work with the tray out of the case I discovered that you can carefully drill the heads off the 4 rivets holding the bottom on, punch out the rest of the rivet, tap the holes with a 6-32 tap and then you can get the tray with attached MB and heatsink in and out no problem. I wonder what the point of a MB tray in a serious gaming case is if you can't use it? Plenty of room for water cooling stuff under the drives, maybe that was the idea?

Other Thoughts: Install the 5 1/4 drives first or you have to take the 3.5" ones back out to get to the screws. came with 2 PS mounts, the optional one lets the PS stick out the back 1" in case you're using a really long PS. My CORSAIR CMPSU-620HX 620W ATX12V fit with tons of room to spare.

The cooling intakes and exhausts are on the sides, so you need to keep a couple of inches of clear space on either side.

1 out of 5 eggsterrible to build - worse to look at

Pros: They use a very thick aluminum on these cases. The internal frame is some iron based metal - tested using a magnet.

Cons: Assembly requires removing tiny screws from the front panel. If you do not have a good magnetic screw driver that will be impossible. I build hundreds of machines - sometimes 15 a weekend. This is by far the worst. I hope NZXT sees my comment. They should be ashamed selling this as an M-ATX case. It is twice as wide as standard ATX cases. Terrible case.

Other Thoughts: I am forced to put my two cases (yes I bought two of them) on the curb. Come by my house and pick them up!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal for a great price.

Pros: Built with thick alluminum for all your traveling needs.
Will not bend or break, unless you're throwing this off a 10 story building.

Packaging is great, but your the packaging box gets beat up, no big deal as long as equipment is safe and secure which it is anyways.

Motherboard (Asus Rampage II Gene mATX) tray can slip in for easy installation, then once put in, plenty of room for heatsinks/coolers(Cooler Master v8 - Which is extremely large for a heatsink/fan, but keeps idle at 31 C and runs full load at 40-50 C, using Artic Silver 5 Therm. Com.) for my Intel i7 920.

Running 2 Sapphire 4870's running crossfire and still has wiggle room. Can support most if not all the long graphics card and this what it was built for. (idles 40

HDD's little weird, placed horizontally, so when installing, be very patient. 4 Slots.

Cooling is very smart, one side runs two 120mm fans intake and the other side exhaust, plus in the back includes another 120mm fan LED, keeping it at 50-60 C

Cons: mATX - ATX? Tried it, just needs about another 1/2" and it truly possible.

120mm Side fans are a little tricky, just take your time.

If you click on Newegg's images, it shows you the whole product, including a convenient window at the top of the case.
However your PSU will block 40%-50%s of your view depending on how big your PSU is, so kind of pointless to have the window.

Other Thoughts: Cooling ability is stellar 50-60 C max inside and plenty of room for many other things.

Note: THIS COMES WITH 3 OUT OF 5 120mm FANS.

I'm tired of people giving this 3-4 eggs because they're too lazy to read that it comes with 3 fans instead of 5. It says so in the "Specifications" tab.

This is a must buy for a SFF case, not many out there, but NZXT took SFF seriously and made this product very great. Must buy off Newegg. -$70.00 instant, total was $100.00 includes tax/shipping, good stuff.

3 out of 5 eggsBIG matx case

Pros: Lots of room, great ventilation, looks good but a LOT bigger than my other SFF matx cases like Apevia Aspire or Lanboy. Can take a full size heat sink (tall, not wide) like Dark Knight.
Not bad for the discounted price. Just surprised at the size - it IS listed as a matx Mid tower.

Cons: MB drawer pretty flimsy, ATI 4850 backplane screwholes would not lineup in the primary PCIEx slot so used slot 2. Backplane is easy to bend but still wouldn't line up. Complaints about the small thumbscrews are true. 3 large case fans all have molex connectors so with the front led, you will be nesting 4 molex connectors just for the case.

Other Thoughts: Installed an i7 920, 6gb DDR3 1600, OCZ 700w PS, 150gb Raptor, ATI 4850 (will upgrade to a better card since this matx case has the room for a bigger/longer card), Asus Rampage II GENE MB, running Windows 7 RC 64bit. So far its running very cool but I am running stock speeds for now. Win7RC64 installed all the drivers except the ICH10 which it went out and found after connecting to the internet using a Netgear WN121T wireless USB (with Vista drivers).
One other defect - the Asus MB northbridge heatsink red V-shaped fin was rattling around loose in the box - it broke off from the middle of the heatsink maybe during shipping. Not bad enough to RMA, bought a tube of SuperGlue and reattached. Probably isnt conducting heat as well and I will have to keep watch so it doesn't fall off when moving the case.
