5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case, has everything that's needed

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-R1 Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Plenty of space, quiet fans, good cooling, cool lights, nice quality

Cons: The hard drive plastic trays could be a bit more sturdy. They aren't horrible but this is the only thing I can think of for a con

Other Thoughts: This case was used for a build consisting of an AMD 8370 FX with Wraith cooler, MSI Geoforce GTX 750ti, EVGA 100 700W PS, with PNY 480G SSD and 16G of GSKILL RipJaws X memory on an ASUS 970 Pro Gaming MB. All works great. I have not overclocked anything because it hasn't been needed.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat... but could have been exceptional!!!

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-R1 Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Beautiful, nearly flawless paint and scheme; removable sliding parts, abundance of stamped holes/cutouts/tabs for wire placement; included fans very quiet; half panel acrylic with additional fan placement; well placed top controls (NOT mounted to the removable panels)

Cons: Cannot mount certain Kraken models without re-drilling; lower front case fan is unnecessarily obstructed by cage; lower cage is riveted in place; factory instruction pictorial is nearly useless; factory Kraken workaround mounting instructions aren't well articulated or thought through; available retail literature does not mention the mount-hole spacing issue.

Other Thoughts: Definitely a worthwhile case. Pretty, striking even compared to others without being ostentatious. Plenty of mounting options and alternate positions for fans. The hole spacing for the top water radiator was poorly thought out, but is easily corrected. However, doing that is best done prior to any hardware mounting. The risk of metal (steel) shavings getting into any electrical part is very high. The factory manual advises removing the motherboard...What???? Do it BARE case, so you can use a magnet to sweep for chips. The front fan arrangement could be vastly improved with either the ability to remove the lower cage (it's riveted), or perforated cage sides (similar to case floor). You can move the included fan up one mounting position (it's pre-drilled) and it blows directly over the top graphics card (my solution). The angled fan mount may be in the way of large video cards, but it is removable. I used that idea for the side fan, and have it aimed at the cpu area to augment the water cooling. As designed that fan blows onto the lower PCI-E slots.

I had fun loading out this case and am really pleased with the results. I'd have given 5 stars if the hole spacing and instructional materials were better done. I will consider this brand for future builds, but I will be more thorough in item research before making a (non-hands on) purchase.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Looking and Easy to Set up... Mostly

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-R1 Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks Great
Comes with a Fan Hub (Albeit a fairly basic one)
Comes with some nice Fans
Lightweight (compared to some cases)
Very versatile (you can remove most of the HDD cages and there's a ton of fan mounting options in this case)

Cons: Front Fan Mounting is near Impossible (Spent a half an hour trying to screw a front fan in, and ended up removing one on the pre-installed fan to make sure I was using the right screws. ended up zip-tying them as I could not get the screws to catch.

Second, the included motherboard stand-offs gave me trouble as well, I couldn't seem to get most of the motherboard screws to catch, (4 did the rest are very very loose which bothers me) I Even tried using my screws from my previous case and they just kept spinning and not screwing in.)

Other Thoughts: I Would recommend this product and I do like it. I just couldn't give it five eggs because it turned a 1 hour job into a multiple hour job due to the hardware not working properly. That being said it looks nice, is actually fairly quiet when using the included fan hub/controller and does it's job I guess.

5 out of 5 eggsMakes a great first pc build!

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-R1 Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Plenty of space for most anything, very sleek and cool looking, plenty of fan mounting location, plenty of hdd and ssd mounting brackets, very well and solid built.

Cons: Heavy

Other Thoughts: This case is amazing. I bought this case for my first pc build and i am proud of the work i have done with it. It has plenty of space for anything you could ever want in your pc. It has more than enough places to mount cooling fan and even liquid cooling such as single or duel radiators. Fits multiple any size graphics cards. Just an overall great case for any gaming build!

4 out of 5 eggsHighly Reccomend

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-R1 Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Great space with ability to add-on decently sized radiators for liquid cooling.
Good amount of space for wire management.
Modular HDD bay for extended cars.

Cons: None to comment about which is not by my error.

Other Thoughts: I have bought two of these cases for my PC builds. I have always recommended this PC case for those looking to build their own PC or get a new PC case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-R1 Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The case has a nice finish, reminiscent of my Antech Vento. It almost appears as if it was a paint job on a car. Yes it is only colored plastic but its very good. The case is roomy inside, no problems fitting my ATX mobo, 2x HDD's, 1x SSD, optical drive, Corsair H110iGTX, and a 980Ti. Inexpensive.

Cons: A little bit flimsy BUT you are getting a heck of a deal at this price point.

Other Thoughts: Tons of locations to put fans.

5 out of 5 eggsIts Red Folks

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-R1 Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: >Good Layout
>Lots of space internally
>Lots of cable management space
>Front door closes making it look sleeker
>Side panel mesh near the gpu (very handy with a gpu that side vents)
>Lots of space to add more fans

Cons: >My side panel rattles (the one with the window)
NZXT was super fast in verifying and shipping me a replacement panel. Because of this no star has been taken off.

Other Thoughts: Solid case all around. Its quite big for the class it is. The looks are stunning for a red black themed build, ties together my theme perfectly. Will be keeping this case as long as it stays together, i do believe ill be making red and black builds for life anyways.

3 out of 5 eggsGot this case with a prebuilt

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-R1 Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -A lot more room than you would expect
-Lots of room for cable management with several tiedown points
-Has top radiator support of 280mm
-This case is one of the best for the money
-Amazing amounts of fan slots

Cons: Where to begin..
Case was never dropped, always sat on a flat surface
-Had a weird bend to it, the back panel would tighten so that the entire side of the case would shift
-(Red model) After about a year, never in direct sunlight, the coloring between the metal and plastic parts was incredibly noticeable
-One standoff was broken, would get stuck in the case but prevent a mobo screw from leaving it
-The PSU dust cover is hard to get off without laying the case down, the front one can only be removed if you unscrew it after taking the front shroud off, there isn't one in the top
-This case rattles
-Hard to clean
-Power button would stick and come out, reset button was fine, ended up having to swap connectors so that the reset switch worked as a power switch
-The fan controller had 4 settings for me, High, Medium, Rapid flicker between High and Low, and Low
-Drive bays are interesting to try to use if you don't have a manual or any previous knowledge of how to use tool-less designs
-Front shroud blocks about 70& of the intake for the front top 120mm fan
-Don't even think of putting LED fans in the front...

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a new case with curve, I'd recommend the Noctis 450. It costs more, has similar support, but is newer and has a similar design to the phantom series. If you are looking for a solid box case, I'd recommend the Suppressor F51.
This case is just too old and lacking support to compete with newer cases.
