4 out of 5 eggsNZXT Phantom 410 fans rattling

Pros: The NZXT Phantom 410 case is absolutely amazing. Aesthetics are just frosting on the cake. Great cooling options, tons of space, except for a few things

Cons: There are some things that I had noticed about the case, though. The red steel and the plastic are just ever so slightly different that you barely even notice it. One of the thumbscrews was misplaced by a fan screw and vice versa, which is no hassle because I don't need that many. Another is that the 140mm fan on top and/or the 120mm at the back started rattling after a few days of putting together the case. I just moved the case a tiny bit and it was fine. This only happens when the fan controller sets the fans to high. When in medium, it has a jiggle sound, which I think is pretty odd. I'm planning on getting a few more of these fans, but the rattling and jiggling just doesn't make me want them. I have been trying to find an email address to contact NZXT to grab a new one or something I'm doing wrong with the fans. I have tried to reseat the two fans and it still happens. The case is wonderful, but the fans kill it for me.

Other Thoughts: My specs:
Intel Core i5 4590 3.3 GHz Turbo Boosted to 3.7 GHz
MSI H97 Gaming 3 ATX Motherboard
8GB of Corsair Vengeance 1600 speed (4GB x 2)
MSI GeForce GTX 660 Gaming 2GB OC
Corsair 600 Watt Modular PSU
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM
Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB
Samsung DVD burner/reader
Windows 7 Home Premium
Razer Blackwidow
Razer Naga HEX
NZXT Phantom 410 Red Steel/Plastic
Super fast pc, will upgrade GPU in the future and will get a Corsair h100i liquid cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful case inside and out

Pros: It's amazingly well crafted from the paint finish to the little details such as the hard drive trays and drive hold downs everything has so much attention to detail. even the plastic front and top of the case feel very sturdy when removing and plenty of spots to place fans.

Cons: A bit small for some of the larger graphics cards, needed to remove the center holder for the 4 trays for hard drives and that leaves you with only 3 slots but other than that no real bad things to say about this amazing case

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: It looks great, it sounds great (nothing but silence) and the airflow seems awesome. There was plenty space for all of my gear and plenty room left for my future endeavors.

Cons: I've been working in IT for some time now but this was my first time building the machine that I wanted for me. Having little experience with case fans, I could have used the heads up that the pre-installed fans were already connected to where they needed to be... threw me for a loop. I suppose it's not so much the cases fault rather than my own.

Other Thoughts: I noticed what people meant about the rubber pieces that hold the wires seem to pop out easily. However, I had no issue at all. As long as you are careful and gentle with it, there's no issue and the cables feed through easy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, CPU PS access could be better

Pros: I'm very happy with this case. It's bigger for a midtower but it's got such great cooling potential and plenty of access for drives, etc.

Cons: Bays - with a large video card you cut the number of HD bays in half because you need to remove the middle rack. This isn't a big issue for me since I don't need more than a few drive bays but for others it could be.

The slot for the CPU power supply on a regular ATX board is in the top left. I managed to figure out a way to run the cables, but I had to remove the top fan and play around with the way the connector got fed through to it.

As others have mentioned the rubber grommets are pretty weak and pop out very easily. It can be annoying but if you take some care you can get it to stay.

Other Thoughts: Otherwise, I really like the design. 4.5 eggs but since you can't give 1/2 an egg, I'm happy with it to give it a 5.

5 out of 5 eggsNzxt Phantom 410

Pros: Beautiful case. I was looking at cases around the $60 mark at first when this caught my eye. I couldn't resist going for a red and blue spiderman build to go with my yellow and blue batman laptop. Not only does the case loog great but it is solid build quality and plenty of room.

Cons: I guess a temperature monitor to go with the fan control would be nice... but lets not get greedy.

Other Thoughts: Just buy it. You wont regret it.

4 out of 5 eggsBig But Awesome

Pros: This is the second Phantom box that I've purchased, and while they are quite large I love the extra space. If you don't mind the size this box offers a lot of room to work with, allowing for several expansion slots and good air circulation. As far as quality goes, I have no complaints about either of the two that I've purchased. The power chords and fan connections are easy to work with and can leave you a lot of room since the box has plenty of pathways to run through.

If you don't mind the bulky size, I can't recommend these boxes enough.

Cons: The only two real cons that I have for this box is that the rubber covers inside are not very well attached and come off quite easy. Additionally, the door to the disc drive area on the front of the box uses a push-to-close/open set up, so it can be a bit temperamental at times about doing either.

Other Thoughts: In the future, if the manufacturer can improve both the door and inside rubber wire padding, this box would be just about as perfect as it can get.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case not perfect

Pros: case looks good. has good air flow cable management is decent

Cons: The rubber pads inside the case for cable management fall off way to easy and the front panel on the case for the cd drives was broken on arrival and wouldnt close

Other Thoughts: overall good case i did wish the case came with pre installed motherboard headers but not worth to take off another egg

5 out of 5 eggsLove At First Sight!

Pros: This was all around the best looking case with all the right features:

It can support most form factor Mobo's with an opening on the mobo tray for easy installation of CPU coolers.

The width and length of the case support large video cards, especially with the removable HDD/SSD bay. Overall I feel like it is on the larger end of a Mid-Tower.

All 3 included fans are high quality, with room and jumpers for many more, plus water cooling amenities. The LED fan is very bright.

Most of the installation was toolless.

Native USB 3.0 support and jumpers.

It also included a lot of hardware for the few things that are not toolless, so no matter what you pair with it, you'll have screws.

The list can go on, I'll finish up this by saying I got it from when it was much cheaper than it is now, and they had released newer NZXT phantom cases. I was willing to pay more for a better product, but in the end I picked the older model because of the better (IMHO) exterior aesthetics and the internal features were almost identical for less $$.

Cons: There are only a few things I have to say about this case that I wish were different:

First, the only LED fan is the top 140mm fan. In addition to that, no matter what color case you get, the LED is blue, not white, not red, but blue. With the other colors of the components of my PC it looks like Mario, for real.

Secondly, this is a compatibility problem with the Asus Maximus VI Hero mobo. It has a weird insulation buffer on the backplate. the standoff placement had no forgiveness in the case and I had to pull the insulation off. Another problem with combining this board and case was the placement of the CPU power. The board had it at the very top corner, I had to remove the fan from the case and use leverage from another tool just to get it secured in that tight place.

These are minor inconveniences, and if you plan on adding more fans to the case or changing brands of fans to one you trust, the first one is an aesthetic issue that is out weighed by the rest of the features in this case.

Other Thoughts: Like the title says, I fell in love with this case the moment I laid eyes on it. I don't just rush in to purchases either. (I get buyers remorse when the items are just in my cart) I did so much research and kept coming back to this case. I've been using it for months now and I am over pleased.

Putting my rig together was a breeze with the design of the case. There is plenty of room in this case for a second Video card and many more HDD/SSD and optical drives. You will not be disappointed by any of it's amazing features.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing for the price, only one small complaint

Pros: Free fans, quite large and with blue LEDs which just look sweet.

Tons of well-placed cable management holes and tie-down points.

Plastic parts are sturdy. Everything has a satisfying click when it snaps into place.

Angled top means I can't set stuff on top of it.

Dedicated fan controller.

Dead silent when fans are set to low. If it weren't for the blue lights I wouldn't have known it was working. Still very quiet at high.

The price for the features can't be beat, especially when it looks this nice.

Cons: Couldn't install my aftermarket cooler. The window to the back of the motherboard was too far over, so two of the screw holes were blocked. If you have a cooling solution that requires a back panel installation be careful with the measurements. Maybe the window lines up with a full-size ATX board?

The metal and the plastic parts are SLIGHTLY different shades. Others complained about it but with the one I got it's only noticeable in certain light, hardly worth mentioning.

The rubber things do come off easily like some have said, though not as bad as I feared. If you can hold them down while you push the cables through it shouldn't be an issue.

Hard drive rails are a bit weird to put on the drive at first. Again, hardly worth mentioning.

No PC speaker? I guess I don't need it but having no post beeps bothers me the tiniest bit. Not worth taking an egg for.

Other Thoughts: I haven't built a PC from scratch in maybe 10 years. And it was 3 years since I upgraded my last rig.

So maybe cases are just like this now, but this thing was so easy to work with I could hardly believe it. Cases are often about trade-offs but for me there were no downsides to this one. I would definitely recommend this case to anyone even thinking about getting one, or to anyone who is doing a new build.
