5 out of 5 eggsEasy to use

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Edition Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This was my first build case and it was great. Lots of space for things and easy to use / setup.

Cons: Can't think of any

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome so far!

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Edition Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Awesome case overall. Of particular awesomeness are the customize-ability of the 3.5" drive bays' locations/inclusions (I only use the triple-drive bay at this time, for the convenience of its attached adjustable fan-mount), as well as the pair of SSD mounts behind the motherboard, which are exceedingly convenient.
This thing's cooling capabilities, both for well-planned air cooling and for liquid cooling, are probably its best feature, beyond capacity. If you work it right, It can fulfill just about any need, in this area. I got this with a partial-premade build on another site, and don't have the 140mm fan, but the 200's have worked great for me, so far.
Its size makes it remarkably easy to work in and around, wiring and component-wise.

Cons: One major negative, several minor.
Flimsy drawer-thingies (can't recall the name at the moment), for mounting the 2.5"/3.5" drives on. Could be better quality, there.
Challenge, in a way, to remove the case front panel/top (has to be done in that order). It is a challenge to figure out the trick the first time around, but I've done it 6 times since then, and it hasn't taken more than a minute, since then. Just that, there's a trick to it, and a bit of strength required. The real negative here is, the lips on 5.25" drive bay inclusions. There are protrusions on the sides of these on the front panel, intended to keep the drives in proper placement, only, with these intact and in place, taking off the front panel risks breaking whatever's in your 5.25" drive bays, due to the leverage. My suggestion would be to trim off these protusions, on the case's front panel, for the slots in which you have any drives permanently installed, where this is going to end up interfering.

Other Thoughts: This thing is pretty massive, and not light to carry. That's kind of a positive, for me. Let this mean to you what it should.
I accidentally shorted out the adjustment control of the fan-control hub, by attaching an outside-powered molex out of series, back-powering the mechanism. My own inattention and foolishness, but an inconvenience nonetheless. Given my experience with the case, though, I'm going with NZXT for a new hub, for their software-controlled AC-GRDP2-M1.
It seems like people fail to realize that any case is going to require a little work, sometimes. Making everything easy to do, if even possible, would lose the integrity of the product, as is well-represented by the racks in this case's 3.5" drive bays. Easy to use, yet flimsy.
This review will be updated with any further issue that I might have.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Edition Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is massive. I guess this could go in pros or cons, but i personally like it as it allows for maximum cable management and space for extras. Everything works as intended! I do not use the included fan controller as my motherboard has plenty of pins for fans and it'll auto throttle them as needed. The case feels pretty solid unless you pick it up from the front bottom, where a filter is, and it'll slide out accidentally, but unless you move your computer around a lot it's not a big deal. Case looks great as well!

Cons: Doesn't come with very many fans. 3 if i remember correctly, although it has plenty of space for fans to be added, it would just be nice to have an extra fan or two added. Also, the front 'door' to access the front dvd/cd/blueray/etc drives seems a bit flimsy, like if you open it to quickly it'll break. It hasn't happened to me, but it does feel a bit weak.

Other Thoughts: I love it and will definitely be buying from NZXT again. I love the case and it was a huge upgrade from my previous mid size tower.

4 out of 5 eggsI'm buying NZXT

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Edition Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: THIS CASE IS HUGE. I will never have any cable management issues or clearance concerns in this case, like ever. There is so much support for large radiators and extra fans, I can't wait to hard pipe this chassis.

My LEDs have worked for an entire year.
The case was dropped once (I blame my brother) with all my components inside, and everything was just fine. The window popped out but I was able to easy pop it back in place. No bends or dents afterwards.

Cons: It was scary at first to remove the top and front panels as I thought I was going to break them, but it's held up after a year of pulling the panels on and off. It's also a pain to clean the front filter as you must remove the front panel to do so.

Other Thoughts: NZXT Customer Service: I blew the fuse on the fan controller module after a faulty wiring job on my part. I contacted NZXT and they sent me a replacement part within a week or so. Super quick response on their part, especially when trending in warranty territory.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Edition Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: I love how roomy and big this case is so that I don't have to worry about shortage of space. The fans are surprisingly really quiet and only get loud when gaming, but even then it's not that loud. The packaging came with more than enough zip-ties and screws and even came with extra mobo standoffs. I also love that it has a back light for the I/O shield for whenever I need to get back there.

Cons: The only cons I can really think of is how hard it is to take off the front and top panels off. I thought I was going to break them when a little force was put. So I suggest anyone who gets the case is to be careful with these two panels and to use a knife or flathead screwdriver to get the prongs out, like I had to. Otherwise, after you get the panels off the first time it gets a little easier to take them off. It's something I'm not going to dock an egg off for when it's easily fixed. Also the instruction manual is mostly just pictures and no descriptions except for where the screws are used for, but figuring out what to do was not hard.

Other Thoughts: I advise everyone, as a fair warning and before buying, to know that this case is HUGE. If I ever come across any issues then I'll change my review.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor design, terrible fans

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Edition Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: It can fit anything you want inside...

Cons: Front panel bezel is extremely hard to take off. I had to watch several YouTube videos to make sure I was taking it off right, and I was. When I finally got it off, the pegs that hold it securely in no longer held it flush against the case, and it could easily be taken off with 1 finger.
I submitted a ticket with NZXT and they did replace that thankfully.

HOWEVER, the fans are extremely poor quality. The case runs very hot even with all fans installed (I purchased identical fans for the spots that did not come with fans). Both of the fans that came WITH the case have started clicking loudly and sometimes don't work. Nothing is jamming them or in their way.

I contacted NZXT again over a month ago and have received 0 responses.

Other Thoughts: I work in IT for a living and build custom PCs on a regular basis for clients.
I have never had so many issues with a case than with this one. The front panel was the hardest I've ever experienced to pry off.
Their support is bad at responding. The first ticket I created took weeks for them to respond back to me about the front panel issue, and this one I have received no response.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, Valued NZXT Customer

We are sadden to hear you’re having issues with your case, we can offer those fan replacements for you no problem. 5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Case

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Edition Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Very accessible case, air flow was very thought out (although i assume most you willing to spend this kind of money on a case are going to liquid cool anyways), big fans included.

Cons: Top 200mm fan was not installed correctly and was causing it to rub against the case, causing unwanted noise. I had to reinstall but no big deal, just a sloppy worker I guess. I wont blame all of NZXT for one loose fan.

Other Thoughts: The Windowed look is great but do know that your basically losing a 140mm-200mm side fan.

2 out of 5 eggsBIG Disappointment

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Edition Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: If you want a really large case, this will fit the bill.
Easy to dress wiring, easy to mount MoBo.
Lots of fan locations.

Cons: The back I/O light is a great idea if it ever worked. Took 3 months to get a replacement light harness.

The power switch was finicky to begin with, now it takes 10-15 attempts just to power on.

Other Thoughts: If I could do it all over again, I would not buy any NZXT product.

I haven't even attempted to repair either problem because I dread the job....
