5 out of 5 eggsJust Perfect

This review is from: NEW NZXT H440 STEEL Mid Tower Case. Next Generation 5.25-less Design. Include 4 x 2nd Gen FNv2 Fans, High-End WC support, USB3.0, Matte BLK/Red

Pros: When i start to look for a case, for my new computer, H440 just was released, after a couple months searching, a finally found a great deal with that case.
The case is awesome, a lot of hidden space to put your cables!
You will only see through the side opening a couple cables (24pin for example).

White LED is a nice touch, but i didn't use at all, only when i need to reach some cables at the back and it's too dark to see something.

a lot of fan connectors at back, simple but a awesome ideia.

Cons: just a couple days, so i didn't see nothing bad about that case

4 out of 5 eggsITS GREAT BUT...

This review is from: NEW NZXT H440 STEEL Mid Tower Case. Next Generation 5.25-less Design. Include 4 x 2nd Gen FNv2 Fans, High-End WC support, USB3.0, Matte BLK/Red

Pros: Nice and modern but not too flashy the leds a put in nice spots to really show off the case. Pretty solid for the most part and super nice cord management. One thing that is super amazing is that you cant see the power supply at all and the NZXT that covers it glows. It can fit a 290x graphics card and a h110 so don't worry about it not fitting anything!

Cons: The side panels came so bent that i had to basically pry them out and had to buy new ones because they were so badly stripped. Another thing is that the front panel where the 3 fans are looks pretty stuck out and i can tell it can come apart kind of sad. The back area sucks for space if you don't have a modular power supply.

Other Thoughts: This is a case to buy i mean of course the cons are my problems but if you get this case i would advise to buy case panel screws due to my experience if you get what i had you wont be able to your side panels on for about 5 days. This case though works wonderful ANY setup considering I have one of the biggest gpus in the world (290X Lightning by msi 1 foot long) and the space and cord management is perfect

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case W/ Some Flaws

This review is from: NEW NZXT H440 STEEL Mid Tower Case. Next Generation 5.25-less Design. Include 4 x 2nd Gen FNv2 Fans, High-End WC support, USB3.0, Matte BLK/Red

Pros: Great looking, nice USB and sound accessibility. Lots of room as advertised. Best of all quiet, even with the 4 fans going. Nice fan hook-up hub with a single 12 volt plug. Super easy to install drives and plenty of room for mobo, tower H/S, and GPU.

Cons: It can be difficult to attach the doors, especially the rear door. The case screws are held in place and can be difficult to firmly screw them in as they frequently rest askew of the holes after attaching the doors.

Other Thoughts: I am still getting used to the fact that optical drives are passe. The one time I needed to use one was to basically install windows. That just required me to connect the internal drive I had un-mounted.

5 out of 5 eggsH440 Best Case I've ever owned

This review is from: NEW NZXT H440 STEEL Mid Tower Case. Next Generation 5.25-less Design. Include 4 x 2nd Gen FNv2 Fans, High-End WC support, USB3.0, Matte BLK/Red

Pros: -Sexy
-Sturdy, Heavy Duty: The side panels and front panel are surprisingly (in a good way) heavy
-Includes 3x 120mm intake fans and 1x 140mm exhaust fan
-Temps are low inside (air cooling & not currently oc'd)

Cons: -Cable management is both simple and difficult at the same time. It's difficult because I'm not used to having so much space for my cables in the secluded compartment, plus, the side panel behind the motherboard gets cramped - it takes a little bit of skill and persistence to have the cables not putting indentations in the side panel foam. Not a big deal though.
-Mine arrived ever so slightly wobbly. Fixed it by putting a folded up piece of paper under one of the legs. I'll probably come up with a more elegant solution for long-term.

Other Thoughts: -Got this for under a hundred bucks shipped, at that price there is no competition for this case.

-Newegg super saver (free) shipping got it here in a day and a half. Newegg rules, I will never order from anywhere again, even if newegg is a few extra bucks.

4 out of 5 eggsI expected better.

This review is from: NEW NZXT H440 STEEL Mid Tower Case. Next Generation 5.25-less Design. Include 4 x 2nd Gen FNv2 Fans, High-End WC support, USB3.0, Matte BLK/Red

Pros: The case itself is undoubtedly the sturdiest case that I have build in. It has a solid weight to it and that is really good. The build, provided that you know what you're doing and are doing some careful forethought in the cable management dept. was incredibly easy and simple.

With crossfire 270X's i have yet to see temperatures over 80 degrees on each card. Airflow is very good and the layout just makes building easy and cooling very acceptable.

The case was well shipped with no issues and overall was a well thought out case.

As a side note crossfire GPU looks sexy in this case.

Cons: The fan hub is powered through a molex cable from the PSU, therefor there is not any software controll over the fans which I believe is a must for a "silent PC case". A few changes to the HDD sleds would easily make this case an A+ case.

While i did not buy this case for its silent features, I still feel the need to mention that this in no way is a silent PC case. In particular, the HDD cages which are mounted right into the case with no rubber pieces between make the case incredibly loud when the HDD are spinning. The case acheives noise levels quiet enough to not notice while under basic use, but once the drives spin that is game over; everyone knows that its on.

Also be careful when managing cables, there is only an inch of space to play with in the back of the case and most of that is taken up by noise dampening foam. Be careful when messing with cables. To work around this issue gpu cables should probably be run through the hole on top of the PSU cover.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have a screw driver with you. All the thumb screws in the case are put in by machines and are nearly impossible to get off for the first time with just your hands. Read manual when it comes to removing front and top panels.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: NEW NZXT H440 STEEL Mid Tower Case. Next Generation 5.25-less Design. Include 4 x 2nd Gen FNv2 Fans, High-End WC support, USB3.0, Matte BLK/Red

Pros: This case is amazing. Very solid and looks great! The side panel looks amazing. The foam on the back makes it a pain to put the side panel on, but with a little work, it goes on.

Cons: Some of the Hard Drive sleds are difficult to get in with a hard drive

Other Thoughts: Great case, 99% metal. Definently reccomend this!

4 out of 5 eggsNice Looking Case - Far from Noise Proof

This review is from: NEW NZXT H440 STEEL Mid Tower Case. Next Generation 5.25-less Design. Include 4 x 2nd Gen FNv2 Fans, High-End WC support, USB3.0, Matte BLK/Red

Pros: The case looks great. There's excellent wire-routing features built in. The captive fasteners for the panels are a huge plus. The built-in lights on the back and inside are very helpful. Lots of built-in fans.

Cons: The case is FAR from noise proof, despite the massive layers of sound-dampening foam. No optical drive ports.

Other Thoughts: The irony of this "sound proof" case is that the thick layers of sound-dampening foam are very good at insulating heat as well. To compensate for that, the case comes with a BUNCH of fans. So if you start doing any heat-intensive processes, the fans will be spinning at full blast which can get pretty loud. So just know that going in.

The case looks great. It comes with a bunch of very useful features that I would LOVE to see become standard. The captive fasteners are nice. The built-in lights are great. The wire-routing is fantastic.

Be aware that this case will not allow you to add an internal optical drive or internal memory-card reader. Optical drives have just barely started becoming truly obsolete, but the need for them hasn't completely gone away yet. Most hardware still ships with a driver CD or DVD and installing Windows via a USB thumb drive can be a pain.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: NEW NZXT H440 STEEL Mid Tower Case. Next Generation 5.25-less Design. Include 4 x 2nd Gen FNv2 Fans, High-End WC support, USB3.0, Matte BLK/Red

Pros: A joy to build in. cable management, though the room behind the motherboard tray is limited by the foam on the side panel, its still manageable, and there is all that room in the psu basement thing to cram cables, so there really isnt much cleanup to do.

Has plenty of options for fans or radiators, since it supports a 360 rad up top, and a 240 in the front.

feels very sturdy in construction. even the front and top panels when you pull them off, feel very solid, and you dont fear breaking them like with cheaper cases. kinda feels like its built out of lead, which to me at least, feels like good build quality.

Really nice to look at. sometimes I sit and stare at it if I am not gaming or anything.

Pretty quiet. it sits on top of my desk right next to me, and I never notice the sound of it running while i am gaming or what have you, unless I make the room silent and try to hear it.

Cons: The finish, beautiful though it is, is easy to damage if you arent careful. I dont know what it is, but ive had really cheap NZXT cases that were harder to scratch. I scratched the side panel that goes on the back side of the motherboard tray against my sheetrock wall, where the last case I built in, the NZXT gamma was a cheap, low quality case, but I never scratched it in that way against this same wall. not a huge deal for me, b/c it doesnt go anywhere to recieve damage, and the damage i already put on it cannot be seen while it sits in it spot, but just be warned to be careful with it. This is pretty much why i took away one egg.

could have had a full length fan filter under the bottom that removes from the front, so you dont have to move the thing around to get out the psu fan filter, but not a huge deal.

the SSD sleds on top of the PSU basement thing, look really nice, but when plugging in SATA power, it makes the cables bend a little tight, since you so often has right angle connectors on your PSU. you can get it to work without damaging the SSD, or use a flat sata power plug, but it would have been nice to see a small divot where the cables go to make that a little easier.

While its pretty quiet, its never going to be as quiet as some other silence optimized cases, due to the side panel window, but i knew that when i bought it, and its still not loud by any means, so if its a con, its a negligable one.

Other Thoughts: I would have really liked if the little switch to control the LEDs built into the case would have had a place to plug an auxillary LED strip or something, so you could install case lighting if you wanted to, and easily run it off the button, but I cant really call that a con.

Another thing I cant really call a con, is that my motherboard (MSI z97 gaming 5) has a right angle usb 3 connector by the SATA ports, and due to uts location, it was impossible to route it through the cable management spots and plug it in. this is kind of annoying, but a good thing is that it was just as easy to run the cable around the whole mobo tray, where th HDDs go, so thats kinda good and bad, and says more about my mobo than the case, I just thought I should mention it.

also its kind of annoying that you basically have to use the very end sata connector on the PSU, like the one at the end of the cable, for each SSD in the sleds on the psu basement thing, which means it you want to occupy both of those, and have a storage HDD or something, you have to use at least 3 sata cables from your PSU, or I am positive you can get like a sata extension or something to save you from doing that, but i didnt own one, but this isnt a con either, b/c I knew it when I ordered the case.

Overall, if you like the look of this case, you will not be disappointed if you decide to build in it, as its got pretty much everything you could need in a case of this size. unless you need 5.25 inch bays, in which case, you probably shouldnt be looking here anyways.
